Galuppi’s

I noticed on Unilocal that Galuppi’s, a local restaurant was featuring Forever Young, a Neil Young Tribute Band. As a long-​time fan of Neil Young I thought this would be right up my alley. Unfortunately, the day of the event was very stormy, with huge showers dominating the weather. Diane and I almost cancelled our plans to go but at the last minute, Diane said, «Why don’t we take a chance?»
So, we showed up at Galuppi’s for the first time. It’s a very large place on a golf course with plenty of room for parking, drinking, eating and enjoying a great concert. We found an open table to sit at near the back of the place. A very nice server named Luis brought us menus and asked for our drink order. I had an ice-​cold Coor’s Light to start. Diane had an iced tea. They were both delicious. I ordered a French Dip Sandwich with fries – slow roasted shaved Prime Rib on a Hoagie Roll with Swiss Cheese, au jus and scrumptious horseradish sauce, Diane had a nice Mediterranean Salmon Salad. I enjoyed my sandwich very much. It was quite delicious. I received it just in time for the show!
The show started right on the dot at 8:00. Forever Young is a terrific band who played literally dozens of Neil Young songs along with lots of other cover tunes and originals over the next 3 ½ hours with a couple of short breaks. I loved the show! So did the rest of the crowd, a lot of enthusiastic dancers, drinkers, and party people. They partied the night away accompanied by a fabulous band who didn’t seem to want to stop. We had a great time!
The manager was very friendly and gladly took my 15% Unilocal coupon bonus that appeared on my Galuppi’s check-​in. A very nice discount that made the evening all that better!

Recently went there for the Sunday brunch which was mediocre at best and that included the food options. We had decided to go there after going online and looking at their website where they advertised a $ 16.99 brunch which included the two for one mimosa or bloody mary. Our bill came to over $ 50 and we questioned why. I showed them their website on my phone to see why we were overcharged. Apparently, the two for one was $ 12.99 per person along with the $ 16.99 per person for the brunch. I showed the management the website and he said that had expired! Anyway, he took 50% off the 3 glasses of champagne and the final charge was $ 48.93 which was still outrageous. I wrote on the receipt for someone to call me and no one has three weeks later and I do not expect them to. Go to the Isle’s Casino for a $ 21.99 brunch that INCLUDES mimosas and bloody marys and the food options are good and much better organized… I wont be back…

Saturday night they had a cover band for journey. Went with a group to celebrate a Friends birthday and after we order drinks we asked to see a menu and we were told the kitchen stopped taking orders. It was early only 9pm. Needless you say we were very disappointed. Waitress was sweet but had to many people to wait on. Drinks came very slowly. They definitely needed more help.

My wife & friends & I had a really great evening last night. The food, the service, the table overlooking the golf course were all A+ excellent. we saw a tina turner tribute band — unbelievable band — super professional — will def be back.

Had lunch there on Thursday. Three separate people came by for the order. No organization.
When food finally came they forgot one order.
When that order came I asked for mayonnaise and had to actually get up and go inside to get it.
Food was good but they need to address the managerial situation. No continuity or accountability.

Always good food. Everything on the menu to good I have never had a bad meal here. Plus on the golf course so sitting outside and having a drink is relaxing

Went for breakfast Monday morning. Walked in front door. Not one person to greet us.
Walked straight back to were you can see the beginning If golf course. Very Pictures.
Still nobody. But there was one table so
I figured someone will be by soon. Which a very nice server can by offered coffee. I ordered the Spinach and cheese egg white omelette. Gross. I don’t think the eggs were totally cooked. But my Grits are real good as well as the toast. My side order of ham salty .
I didn’t pay the bill so I don’t know. But the prices on menu very reasonable.

Not the best place I have been, service awful food not up to standards and drinks in plastic cups will not return

We had brunch here on Sunday 1÷3÷16. The food was good. Not great or fantastic but good. It was worth the price of $ 16.99.

Today was thanksgiving so a friend and I made a reservation. We decided to go in during the beginning so that it wasn’t very busy and we could enjoy ourselves. Our server greeted us very quickly, and he was very kind (Paul was his name). He quickly took our drink order and we went up to get food. The presentation of the food was good and it looked divine. The décor within the restaurant though… Very dated and seemed to be leftover décor from some little girls bat mitzvah, or, a 1990’s low budget wedding. The food seemed to be average but the server was amazing. He was very attentive and professional. If I were to ever go there again… It would be for the service not the food. I would say for $ 80 (for two) you could make a great home cooked meal and get a decent bottle of wine for the comfort of your own home. I recommend a professional decorator. I’m available …

Good food, good service. Plays all the games, but the big screen is saved for the Dolphins game, of course. Chicken quesadilla is chock full of chicken, wings were meaty, fish and chips crispy and tasty, flat breads-​crispy and topping heavy. Bucket deals on game days. Would recommend this place any football Sunday.

Food is delicious you don’t think it is a place where the ambience and music plus a good meal would provide! Thoroughly enjoyed it! Looking to come back again with friends. Every person that worked there was so welcoming and hospitable such a pleasure!

Great place for lunch or dinner. Food is much better than one might expect. A must visit in pompano beach!

This is a review for the band and drinks. We sat outside under the awning and listened to the band, Rock Therapy. The band was great. They have room for dancing. The band plays outside. They have an outside bar and many tables around it. There are tv screens playing sports. The band played until 11pm. Service was great because there is a button on a table for when you want to place an order. You click it and a server appears! This is a great concept! There are tables further away from the band that are uncovered that do not have the magic server button. Some people came with lawn chairs and sat in the distance. There is plenty of free parking in the attached lot. I will definitely go again to listen to the live music.

We decided to stay and have lunch after our round of golf. We grabbed a seat at the bar and were quickly greeted by the bartender, didn’t catch her name. She took our drink orders and gave us some menus to check out.
My buddy went with the Patty Melt and I opted for angus burger which comes on a kaiser roll and includes the usual lettuce, tomato, and onion along with my fav… avocado!
We cooled down with our iced teas and added up the scorecard from our round to pass time. Soon after our food was served and we dug in. After trying the fries I found them to be soggy and not so tasty so I only ate a few. I got in to my burger and it was as tasty as I imagined. Every bite was juicy and flavorful.
I was the «pigeon» meaning my week to buy. The patty melt was $ 10, the angus burger $ 9.50 and the iced teas were a couple bucks each with free refills. Not a bad deal although I wish there weren’t so many smokers so I could enjoy my lunch without a side order of cigarette smoke. I missed my friend and favorite bartender Susan!

We ate here for dinner on a weekday 2 weeks ago and were pleasantly surprised, especially given the mixed reviews.
The outdoor seating was nice — good music, nice view of the water.
Service was excellent — I am usually difficult to please but the service was prompt and on key. No hassles and we were periodically checked on.
The chipotle crab fritters were great. I had the pistachio crusted salmon which was absolutely delicious — large portion!
The only disappointing thing about our experience was the host at the front — that meathead was too busy texting on his phone to even greet us goodbye, he should really be fired since his wages could be better spent on a potted plant or something.

Excellent Father’s day buffet! Endless crab and oysters, meats, veggies, omelettes, and waffles! Yummy!

Once more at GALUPI’S, this time on a Sunday afternoon, we have been a few times after the Dog Park with Barkley. Very nice lunch choices and a big bowl of water for the dog…
I don’t now what people expect… as I wrote before… this is NOT a 5 star restaurant, but very good for what it is…

I enjoyed my meal at Galuppi’s. We ate breakfast and I had a southwest frittata wrap and home fries. The potatoes were burnt. The service was quick but she tried to take my food before I had finished. She apologized. The price is right, though!

Great place it is usually my stop after a round of golf at Pompano Municipal for a sandwich and a drink. Great view of the course from the outside eating area and bar! Great breeze even on stifling hot day and plenty of TVs around to watch sports on. Kudos Galuppies!
