It feels a little unfair reviewing a restaurant that we didn’t order anything from… but we stood there for over five minutes being ignored the whole time. There were three people at one table. We didn’t even rate a hello when we walked in the door. I see mostly good reviews here and that was why we came… it was our first visit. We might be willing to give it another go another time but… at least say hello when someone walks through the door. We walked next door to another restaurant and were greeted as soon as we came in.

Great pizza! After a long day at the beach complete with lots of beer, these pies hit the spot. We got 3 and my fave was the sausage/green pepper. Excellent sausage and the crust was really good. Not the best pizza I have ever had but very solid and worth the price. Phone and delivery folks were very nice.

I SCORED A FREEPIZZA, Y’ALL. I’ve seen this place for years, but could never bring myself to try it because I was a bit put off by the religious part. However, I’ve since decided that, unless someone actively tries to convert me and/or tells me I’m going to hell, they can do whatever they want as long as they make a good pizza. I’ve ordered from here a few times, twice for their lunch special(two slices and a soda) and once to pick up a medium pizza for our office. The pizza is quite good, and with the lunch special, they even let you substitute bottled water for the soda at no extra charge. While I still have my absolute favorite pizza joint, this is a solid option in the area, and it’s nice to experience friendly service, which is not always a guarantee around here. They have more than just pizza, and I’d be interested to try some of their other menu items. Today was the first time we opted for delivery, since one of our co-workers is off this week and we couldn’t leave to get food. So imagine our surprise when the delivery driver brings in the pizza and tells us it’s free! Say whaaat?! The driver told us that Phil randomly chooses someone to give a free pizza to, with a little note attached to the box that says, «Complimentary from Phil’s Heavenly Pizza. Have a great day! God Bless! –Phil»(see the photo I posted). The driver would not even accept a tip, saying they do this together. It was such a lovely, unexpected surprise! How awesome is that?! I admittedly let my misgivings about the whole«church in a pizzeria» keep me from giving this place a shot before. I’m glad I gave it a try, and I’m sure as heck grateful for the free lunch too!

Was searching for a good calzone recipe, the first result was this place. The wife and I were in the mood so we decided to go. One of the best decisions ever. Thin crust pizza, crispy to the last bite. Divine intervention.

Stopped in for a slice as I heard the pizza was the best around. Walked in the front door and… holy crucifix batman! Jesus was everywhere. So Phil’s Heavenly Pizza name has a double meaning. It was no joke either. From the movie on the tv to the display of an open bible to the hell warning signs covering the wall. Not to mention days during the week when a church service is held in the pizzeria… But what about the pizza? My pepperoni slice was good and filling. Far from heavenly but tasty. $ 2.35 or a cheese slice and $.50 each for toppings. The cokes and other sodas are in a self serve fridge. They are cans and $.90. Overall a pretty good value considering. The«heavenly» interior was quite small with 3 or 4 cramped tables. I hope heaven is a bit larger or I am in big trouble lol. Regardless of your faith, the inside is a bit creepy. I got my slice and got the hell outta there ;)

My favorite pizza joint here in Broward county area! Crust is always crispy, ingredients are fresh, staff is super nice. I’ve been in the kitchen and this place is so clean I would literally eat the pizza off the floor. I

Still can’t beat Phil’s $ 5 lunch special… a can of soda and two pieces of fresh pie.

This is the best pizza that I have eaten in Broward County Place is a little strange, it is closed on Sunday, to run a church service in the store. The owners are very nice and place is well run. To my surprise, one day I ordered a pizza for delivery, when the driver showed up, he gave me a business card, saying it is free. I tried tip the driver, he refused the tip, he said free is free, no charge. He said the owner gives out free pizza randomly, That was great day free pizza from a great pizza place.

The interior and exterior was awesome, I did a carry out order for a half pepperoni pizza and healthy choice pizza. It was one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. It was worth every penny. My friends and I are definitely coming back next time we are in town.

This is by far one of the friendliest staff I have encountered and it definitely has heavenly calzones and pizza. They also sell a variety of other food like subs salads and burgers! I will definitely come again. And I appreciate the fact that the owner is grounded in his belief and his mission even though it may not be the same as my own

Being from NY, I am always looking for great pizza and this pizza is LEGIT-THEBEST Pizza– EVER — in Broward County. Until now Garlic Knot and Humpy’s had my votes, but they have been dethroned by Phil’s, they are not even close! Phil’s makes a perfect slice-reminiscent of NY/Jersey/Long Island/Staten Island Pizza — a good thing in my book! It has just enough golden brown cheese, good sauce, not greasy. It’s a perfectly foldable slice with an insanely tasty crust — soft and chewy with just a bit of crisp underneath. Everyone is very nice, its a very clean place. Phil is from up North, good dude, very religious and the place show’s his enthusiasm and devotion to the bible. Even if you are not religious like me, you should go and enjoy great pizza! I can not wait to go back :-) ENJOY!!!

Bangin pizza! I had a mushroom & banana pepper slice– literally out of this world. One could say it’s NY style pizza, and I suppose it is… However it’s FARBETTER than the pizza I’ve had in NY, and I was just there last month. Boom!

Jesus Christ that’s A LOTOFGREASE! I mean good lord there must have been some mistake. Were they trying to drizzle some olive oil and the cap came off the bottle? The entire calzone was completely saturated and soggy with oil. I mean to the point of holy shit that’s disgusting. Even the burnt parts were soggy. How did they manage to do that? The wax paper under the crust of course doesn’t help. Unless you’re looking for help absorbing grease into the pie. The whole Christian theme doesn’t bother me, even though I’m not one. I actually think it’s really cool that they donate all their profits to local charities, but honestly that might be the most disgusting thing served to me in a restaurant in recent memory. I hope that isn’t the way they intend to serve their calzones, but I won’t be back to put another 25 bucks in the offering plate and pray the pie is edible this time…

Quick slice! Loved it! Yummy pizza done northern style with a thin crust. The church stuff is a bit out there but I believe in first amendment. :-)

Wow, I love this place. A «Church in a pizzeria». Notice what comes first there. The owner of this place is on a true«mission from God». Daily Bible studies, Sunday services, community outreaches, and counseling and prayer available anytime. There’s Bible verses on the wall, and Christian music playing all the time. I was very inspired by talking to Phil, the owner. You can tell he loves God. Oh yeah… The pizza? Well, it may seem like my review of it is an afterthought, but it isn’t an afterthought to Phil. Everyone around me seemed to love what they were eating. If you read any of my reviews though, you’ll see that I’ve been totally gluten free for a year now, so one reason I went to PHP is that they advertise they have Gfree pizza available. If there’s one thing I miss, being Gfree, it’s pizza. Well I have to tell you, Phil’s was amazing. The best Gfree pizza I’ve had yet in a pizzeria. If I loved in Pompano, PHP would not only be my new pizzeria, it might just be my new church as well! God bless you and what you’re doing, Phil. You’re a real inspiration.
