I ordered orange chicken. Some of it tasted ok, a lot of it didn’t taste like chicken at all. Not to mention my gums started bleeding by whatever crap was in this. I think I’ll sue. I ordered it takeout, if only I sat in this restaurant, I’d be storming out of this restaurant without paying! This is not food.

I’m grossed out that there have been maggots and roach droppings but the food at the time I bought is was tasty! Lol. Knowing what I know now, I won’t be like insulting uneducated people and mention their world country. I’ll say I’ll return when quality is up to code and remind that way for overhear. I orders for myself and my family. I’m healthy and safe and sound but being ignorant isn’t my fortay. It’s. Simple walk to the counter Chinese order shop. Limited seating and quick service. Saw a couple in there the other eating their lovely Lo mein. So it’s a wait and see. Plenty of places aren’t up to code.

Disgusting! You should not eat here. It has been ordered closed 4 times since 2013 because of live maggots, rodent droppings and roaches. It was just recently featured on the news. I can’t believe I actually ordered from here before.

Sad that this place closed down. But I totally understand why. It was disgusting what I discovered. Anyway, but it is a good time to get the bug guy here. The only thing I would like to know about this is a little harder to get.

I am disgusted to learn that this place is still open as though they are entitled to have maggots and feces in the restaurant. This is America and we have an expectation of quality…

The maggot soup is to die for. You can add roach and rat droppings to add the authenticity of eating in a third world country. If you are feeling adventurous try the dog stew. Slightly sour and a little sweet. Add hot sauce to spice it up.

it looks like they changed management or ownership. they don’t offer soup as. part of their combo like everyone else. I paid 15.00 for egg drop soup a soggy egg roll and spicy pork and garlic. I got 4 pieces of small bland pork slices rice and vegetables. the rice and vegetables were good and I’d be happy if that was what I ordered. very disappointed will not call again.

I’ve had much better cheap chinese food. If this is what the area has to offer at this price point, I rather pay more for good chinese food or order pizza.

Read the reviews first before ordering, and i I wasn’t disappointed. My family ordered the crab ragoon(plenty of filling), general tsao’s chicken medium spicy, steamed dumplings, fried dumplings, porklo mein and eggrolls. It was all delicious, plenty of flavor, great portions for lower prices and they honor all coupons on their website. I had a found a coupon for free small order of honey chicken withpurchase of $ 50 or more. They offered me an upgrade and instead of a small, they gave me medium for free. The lady who took my order and the delivery man were very courteous and very nice. They even gave us a free 2015 calendar lol. We were very impressed and will definately order again in the future. This is actually the first review I’ve ever written lol but they deserve it :)

New favorite Chinese takeout place! We tried the crab rangoon and boneless spare ribs and both were very good. Singapore Mei Fun was also very tasty and spicy in a good way. I would definitely recommend Red Lantern over other takeout in the Pompano Beach area and I have tried a lot of them.

Great General Tso’s. Read the other reviews and decided to give it a try — happy I did. Great taste and generous portions. I’ll go back.

Pint if shrimp fried rice had four shrimp. Steamed dumplings where made with a dark mystery meat like beef. Usually dumplings have a light color there are no good Chinese food in pompano end of story.

Recently moved into the area and have been sampling some of the local Chinese restaurants. I’ve tried Wok n Roll and China Moon, albeit a limited selection of each, this has been my favorite one so far. I’ll review the products I’ve ordered. Fried wonton — This is one of my favorite menu selections from my old local spot, unfortunately I’ve yet to find a place that can do it as well as them. This is no worse than the rest of the local fare though. Dumplings — The positive is that they give you 8 instead of 6, which is typically the status quo. They’re good although I’d prefer them a bit crisper. I’d also order extra dipping sauce(they skimped me, but I had the foresight to order more). The sauce is more flavorful than a lot of the other local offerings. Orange beef — A much stronger orangey aftertaste than I was expecting, but I guess that’s my fault for underestimating«orange» beef. HUGE portion, huge chunks of meat, strong flavor. General tso’s chicken — Fantastic. Well done. Exactly what I expect from a good general tso’s chicken. A generous portion despite being a «smaller» portion. Spicy wings — Regular fried chicken wings with spice put into the batter. Very strong peppery after taste. Not bad, although batter was a bit soggy when I got it, maybe because of the container it was in. Might consider re-ordering extra crispy. Pouring some left over dumpling dipping sauce on these made for a really good flavor combo. Chicken wings in garlic sauce — Amazing. Interested in ordering other items with garlic sauce. Not that spicy despite the pepper icon on the menu but very thick sauce with robust flavor. Buffalo wings — Also really good sauce. Buffalo sauce with a bit of a sweet Asian kick. Spicy BBQ wings — I would go with the Buffalo wing sauce over the Spicy BBQ sauce, but it grew on me the more I ate it.

I noticed this place for the first time a few months back, not sure how long they’ve been in business. China Moon has been our go to for Chinese in the neighborhood for almost 20 years now, but we were very impressed with our first order from Red Lantern. We ordered our regular combos, general tso chicken, sweet and sour pork, with an order of krab rangoon. All three we’re dare I say superior to our old standby. The krab rangoon especially stood out, they were quite large and stuffed full of crab and cream cheese. They had very good flavor and were not at all greasy. General tso’s was very well prepared, a little sweeter and not as spicy as I would have liked but I will ask for a little more heat next time. Sweet and sour pork was great. Very crispy, not greasy at all served with tons of really good sweet and sour sauce. Pork fried rice was about 98% rice 2% pork and veggies, but it had good flavor and texture. Maybe if you order it ala carte they put more into it. Ninja bonus: The woman who takes your order speaks and understands English!!! And judging from her ethnicity, probably Spanish too!!!
