Truly Nolen Pest & Termite Control

Signed up for the monthly service and expected to be charged properly on a monthly basis as well as no more bugs, the company charged my card twice for the initial deposit of 135.00 and I had to call to get it corrected. The bugs were not treated properly due to the original tech performing the attic dust treatment wrong, the salesman said the tech goes all around the house dusting into each vent on the roof overhang and all the guy did was stand at my attic access for 2 minutes with the dust fogger that don’t work if you don’t get into the attic and treat all around. Then I check my bank statement to find out that they over charged my card again for 135.00 when I’m only supposed to be charged 37.00 per month for 11 months. I called again and told them to straighten this billing issue out and cancel my entire contract, I’ll call someone who has their accounting department under control.

I originally went with truly Nolan because you didn’t have to pay each time someone came out to your house, good thing as I would be broke now. After over a year, my problem which should have been fixed in a few weeks is still not fixed. The original large fee is for them to secure your house which after a year later is still not complete.
Customer service can’t seem to help, the quality assurance manager has not been able to help and the manager of the pompano location is also unable to help.
We have had OVER 35 rats that have been caught in the house, and 10 of them were killed by me. The team at truly Nolan told me that it wasn’t rats but squirrels inside and tried to tell me I don’t have a problem and I have the roaches «because it’s rainy season».
Over a year later, I have wasted $ 600, I still have rats, I have more roaches than ever, I’ve now got a water damage problem because the rats have chewed through some of the plastic piping from my dishwasher and the team at truly Nolan has missed my last three appointments with no call at all. Each time I call I’m told that either the rep or a manager will call me back, I’m still waiting though.
Disappointed. As I paying customer I advise anyone reading this to go somewhere else for your rodent and pest control services as this team clearly cannot handle the job. Save yourself the money, the time and the heartache, it’s not worth it. I am only giving one star because I am required to give something.

Very disappointed with this company. Found termites in my home on Memorial Day, so my husband took Friday off, so their tech could come out an inspect. He stood there scratching his head and did not even go in my attic to see if he could find the termites and suggested no treatment needed. I called on that same day asking to speak with a manager and no one called me back. I called again Wednesday the following week and I did receive a call back from John the manager. John said he’d call me early Thursday and that was a lie. I just called them again and now he is in a meeting. Customer service is awful and the technician was useless. We pay a contract to have our home protected and this company does everything to avoid taking care of the customer.

Worst company to work with. Don’t waste your time. Their customer service is horrible, they are all a bunch of liars. Moved into our new home, January of 2014, were looking into options for pest control and the previous owners told us they had a contract with Truly Nolen. We decided to contact them since the previous owners had used them, they sent some guy Mike who gave us a quote of 1,500.00 without looking into our file, which said we were eligible to transfer the services for a small fee. A week later from the Mike guy coming I received the letter notifying us that we could renew for one year for only $ 270.00. I called and explained the situation, they said… oh yeah sorry he forgot to mention that part. By this time it was already June 2014. I went ahead and processed the renewal and gave them payment. They advised someone would call me within 2 days to schedule our first visit. It is now August 27, 2014 and no initial visit has taken place. I have called several times to schedule and each time they cant seem to find my payment applied, they take forever and I have had to show them my bank statement where the payment is shown. Three times out of all the scheduled times they show up on a different date than scheduled and the other times they just don’t show up at all. I work Monday through Friday so I schedule specifically for Saturday, even willingly waited a few weeks so that I could get a Saturday scheduled. When I call the office to complain about no shows or showing up on wrong date they just brush me off and say that my only option is to reschedule AGAIN. The last time I called, I scheduled for August Saturday the 16^th, I get a call on Friday the 15^th saying that he is at my house waiting, again shows up on the WRONG date. I called the office to complain once again and they said he must of just gotten confused but that I was indeed scheduled for the 16^th between 8am and 11am. Forward to Saturday, I spent all day at my house waiting for them and nobody ever showed up. I called their office 3 times and every time they had a different excuse, saying that he was just running late etc but that he would call me when he was on his way. He never showed up. After waiting 8 hours with a no show I called the office and asked that I just wanted my renewal fee back and I did not want their services anymore. They said a manager had to call me in order to issue the refund and that they would call me on Monday. I never received a call… shocker, so I call them on Tuesday and they once again promise me that this time the manager will call me etc. I get a call from some guy Matt. At this point they have given me like 5 different names of supposed managers… first its some guy Hodges, then Karen, then John. They never get their story straight. I finally get a call from Karen this morning, which I missed because I am at work, so I called back and they tell me that its not Karen who I need to speak with, even though in the voice mail Karen is the one who called and they put me through to some other lady, after 20 minutes on the phone «trying to locate my account» she tells me she has to put me in contact with someone else. I get some guy John on the phone who was so arrogant and rude. He tells me they can only give me back $ 200.00 because they are prorating their services. What services?! They never provided any service. All I want is my money back and to move on. Stay away and save yourself the trouble.

The worst service provider and customer service that I have ever encountered while wasting my hard earned money on this scamming company. After numerous phone calls from me starting on 7÷10÷2014, to their office at 954−946−2700 and speaking with Karen Mondesier, who is supposed to be the Administrator for this local office, I encountered lie after lie told to me by her when requesting actual dates during which services were performed at my rental unit. This supposed Administrator, Karen Mondesier lied and told me that proof of the services rendered by their employee/​technician-​Hodges Smith, were mailed to me. None of this was done, since I keep meticulous records of all service contracts at my rental properties. To make matters worse, when I started calling the company’s main number in Tucson, AZ, I was told that it was nothing more than a call center and similar to a third party affiliate.
Finally, on 7÷30÷2014, after about 8 phone transfers, more lies, and further attempts to retain me as a customer by deliberately ignoring my telling each and every employee at this company, whether in their call center or in their office @ 876 NW 12^th Ave, Pompano Beach, FL 33 069 that I was completely dissatisfied with their poor customer service. Finally, after calling and complaining for three and a half weeks, an actual branch manager-​Tony Espino spoke with me and even he had a major attitude as if it was too much bother for him to resolve my complaint of no longer wanting any type of business relationship with Truly Nolen.
I explained to Tony Espino that I don’t want any type of service any further from Truly Nolen and to e-​mail me a cancellation statement. He still gave me an attitude but finally did his job and sent it to me, while his service manager Hodges Smith was still attempting to retain me as a customer.
I also warned this company that if my credit or personal information is compromised in any way by either their employees or their call center affiliates, I will take further legal action above and beyond consumer fraud and protection laws and regulations.
It is truly illegal and unethical, that some of these employees of Truly Nolen think that they can «strong arm» their female customers, while making derogatory comments and behaving in such poor manner during customer service calls, whether over the phone or in person.
They obviously practice poor judgement based on their personal issues and greed.
Please heed my warning that these people are the most unprofessional in the business of pest control. Unilocal is NOT the only place you can find very similar negative comments about Truly Nolen.

I have an annual contract with Truly Nolen. The initial contacts and responses were great until I signed the contract for $ 950 for the year. Since then, they can’t do anything right. They have keys to my place which the technician does not know or not told by the office. I have to call them and remind every time. Don’t know how companies like this stay in business or retain customers.
