Wendy’s

The drive thru cashier was very polite. They are pretty fast. My chicken sandwich and fries weren’t that fresh.

Consistently inconsistent at best. First, I never get a straw there. Are they cutting back, or is it every 4^th car? Today I was lucky enough to get the hardest bun fore my number 3 with chese.

No stars!
Went there last night around 9:30 pm.
Ordered 2 large chili for husband and me thru drive thru.
Got home, tasted them.
Something was off with the taste, definitely.
Chili was turning sour or something.
We closed them up and rebadged them after 1 bite.
Found the receipt and called store to advise I was returning them and that they might want to taste the chili as something was wrong.
Assistant manager INSISTED there was nothing wrong since they’d putti out 5 mins before.
I don’t care what they did when. Something was off with the product.
I returned them in 5 minutes. No one working front counter.
I called to staff who ignored me. Finally got someone’s attention, he called assistant manager who did not come out for 10 minutes.
While waiting I saw kitchen worker with a stack of about 7 frozen chicken patties.
With BARE HANDS HE PLACED THEM ON THE LEDGE OF THE FRYER, NO PLATE AND NO PAPER UNDERNEATH. He placed them into fryer basket, again, bare hands.
Again, he insisted the chili was fine, said he’d tasted it.
Based on his girth, I have doubts about his ability to taste with discernment .
I presume he continued to serve that chili to people until it was gone.
Hope those people didn’t get sick. We ate only one bite.

The Baja chili salad makes Wendy’s guilt-​free for me! Love it.

As far as fast food burger joints go, Wendy’s is near the top of the list. Especially since they’ve GREATLY improved their french fries (which used to be the worst part of Wendy’s.)
Their chili is AMAZING, and they also offer other unique sides like a baked potato that comes fully loaded with sour cream and chives. Other than Checkers, they are the best fast food milkshake (aka ‘Frosty’.) This particular location is fast, and while I wouldn’t give any accolades to the customer service effort, I have no complaints either.
Well I went with my girl yesterday and I was disappointed big time.
They’re featuring the Bacon Portabello Burger which looked awesome, so I decided to try it. They used to feature a similar sandwich years ago and it was probably the greatest fast food burger I’ve ever had! So you can imagine my feelings of despair when we get home 5 minutes later and my burger has barely ANY cheese! I’ve never been skimped on cheese so hard in my life, and the sad thing is; that’s not the worst part.
I literally think my burger had 1 little mushroom on it.
Also, 90% of my bacon was on 15% of the sandwich, so I ate all the bacon in the last 2 bites. So it felt like I was eating a double meat burger with nothing on it. They also made some other changes that I am not happy about. I guess they’re losing money on their fries because now, the ‘regular’ fry that you get with your combo meal is an equal sized portion to what you used to get in your McDonald’s Happy Meal.

And part of what made me love the new Wendy’s fries was the sea salt they put on them, well guess what? Yesterday: Zero salt
I had a bite of my girlfriends grilled chicken sandwich and thought it was terrible, she thought so too and we both knew that it was WAY better last time she ordered one. They also reduced the drink sizes, and yesterday the cokes were 85% ice So that’s what we got for $ 15
Dave Thomas would be ashamed.
I really hope this was just an isolated incident, and the only reason you’re getting 3 stars is because of my good past experiences.
