I think I built this place up so much in my mind that it could have never lived up to the fantasy. We walked in for lunch and it was completely empty. The proprietor informed us that «his girls» were running late. He then proceeded to ask me to remove my hat… presumably because of gang activity… I complied. We were informed that they do not serve food and are currently locked in battle with the city over the use of their ventless ovens… yikes! On the way out to the car we noticed someone sitting in their car getting ready… could this be one of «the girls»? Yes, yes it was… and she ran into the establishment with the speed of a vampire trying to avoid exposure to sunlight! Recommended if you like weird, uncomfortable places that serve cheap liquor while unattractive girls stand around looking bored.
