The Tuesday lunch special: 1⁄3rd lb cheese burger Fries or chips Domestic beer or soft drink $ 7.43 including tax; not tip. It is good value. The burger is acceptable — but nothing really special I’m guessing Sysco or GFS. It was cooked well-done. No char whatsoever. The cheese was thoroughly melted — Yea! It was served on a fresh sesame seed bun. The proportions of the burger complimented the bun. I asked for the burger fixings on the side. They were plentiful, chilled and fresh. The fries were better than average; a thin-ish cut, kind’a in the spirit of Mc’D’s fries. What I liked: They were not over-salted. Thank you. I forget the waitress’ name. She was friendly, attentive, knowledgeable and could anticipate. If you want to talk, she’ll talk. If you prefer to dine in silence, that’s good too. The food is 3.5-stars. The service & value push it to 4-stars. WiFi should not be used for anything that requires a login/password.

Fun local bar. Very good burgers and reubens. They have a good turn out for karaōke nights. The host is funny and gets the crowd into it. Bartenders and servers are very nice.

You definitely have to have a different mindset to walk into this place. Take a deep breath and just let the atmosphere flow over you. There are three things that you will take from your visit. First, the bartender /server ladies are attentive, make great drinks and if I might say are very hot. The most unappreciated guy here is the chef. The Donnelly burger is one of the best burgers in town. Have it your way served with fries or frips. Stick with the burgers. The drinks are big and there are many beer selections. There are lots of regulars here and they are a trip. We have been going here for years and you will never know what kind of show you are in for. Lots of table hopping. This place just keeps pulling you back in.

Drove from Berkley to get the BEST burger in the area! Order the Donnelly Burger with everything and uncut and enjoy it in the traditional manner… Two hands full, and they’re full of juice. What a deelight! Wash down with a Guinness, now you’re happy. This is a small, neighborhood bar/pub. Not a flashy place, but clean, if a bit worn. There appears to be a large number of regulars as there were hugs all around for most of the folks coming in. Bathrooms are also clean, but not handicap accessible. Wait staff was friendly and did a good job of keeping the orders moving. We’ll be back!

We have a blast at Donnely’s!!! The bar is clean and inviting. It’s a friendly neighborhood bar w/a lot of character! If this bar gets any bad reviews; Chances are, it’s from an angry ex customer that wore out his welcome. Lol

Food is awful. Beer lines are dirty. Place is filthy. Staff isn’t helpful. Awful experience there, I just wanted beer fries and a burger and was left completely unsatisfied. 0 star worthy

Went here to catch a baseball game and drink a beer. It looked inviting from the outside like it may be a decent place. When you walk in the first thing you notice is the floor. It looks like they never clean it! The bar smelled like body odor. I am not sure if possibly a big person was sitting at my seat before me and leaning on the bar with his armpits, but they should wipe the bar down at least! The bathroom was also disgusting. This place is a cesspool.

Nice, friendly but no Irish food. Regular bar food. I was really looking forward to some Shepard’s pie.

This place is slammed on Thursday for Karaōke. It is the place to be in Keego. They have chairs along the bar and many small tables between the bar and bathrooms. They have an internet jukebox and a few tvs to catch the game. The owner is usually present which shows she cares. They also host euchre nights. They boast a good selection of booze and brews. Rotating specials including pudding and jello shots. There is a fryer and flattop grill behind the bar which serves fries, burgers, corned beef. It seems they are always looking for help cooking… so if you are looking check here. The bartenders tend to stick around here, which is a good sign and they make it a point to know what you like. This is a place with a lot of regulars. Parking is very tight. It is usually best to park in the shopping plaza across the street. My only beef is when they first opened I went here for St. Pats and they charged 5 bucks for a small guiness out of a cooler… but I’m over it. Bonus they have mints in the bathroom to freshen up with. Nice touch.

Lucky us, having a quaint Irish Pub within a two-block walk of the house. My wife enjoys the burgers and personally I think their coney’s will rival any in Detroit. I really like their signature Frips instead of fries. They usually have special prices on select beers(tonight it was $ 1.50). If you time it right you can even sit and watch the sunset over Dollar and Cass lakes.
