I just had the King Salmon with mornay sauce special tonight with asparagus and a twice baked potato. It was the most amazing fish dish I’ve ever had in my life. Compliments to the chef and staff.

The Crab Benedict was wonderful. The hollandaise sauce was done perfectly. The shredded potatoes were a bit too crispy, but I prefer cubed potatoes(homefries?) so I might be a bit biased. My husband had the breakfast combo. The pancakes h eggs were good, but the bacon was very dry & overdone.

We were going back from Olympic National Park to Seattle, and taking dinner at this restaurant. Highly recommend the Seafood Tetrazzini, it is a tasty and high quality food with reasonable price. I would like come to this restaurant again and try others.

The food is good, but they are very straight with orders. My kid order a regular menu, it was ok. I wanted to order a kids food, because I was not hungry and for me it was not allowed.

Food was good and service attendance was very polite as well. And it is a good place to go with strollers.

We stopped here for a quick bite before heading to our final destination. The food was delicious. I got the cod sandwich and chowder which was slightly disappointed that the bread was just soggy but the cod was delicious and so was the chowder. The service was attentive but we were also the only ones there for a late lunch. I love that they have a nice of the garden. It was pretty cute. I recommend stopping here for lunch for sure.

This is a beautiful little spot nestled in a garden off of highway 101 in Port Angeles. The service is outstanding and their seafood dishes are better than some I’ve had at the most high end restaurants in metro areas. I had the halibut special this time and it was beautifully prepared. The halibut was seared in olive oil and the meat was very moist and just lightly seasoned. Served on a bed of diced red potatoes with a fresh crème sauce and tasty, grilled asparagus. Any dish on the menu won’t disappoint but this dish was over the top delicious.

Wanted to try their crab cakes and Unilocal says they are open but I got there and there hours posted are completely different. They should work on that…

This is one of those places where you’re not surprised when they don’t ask you how everything was at the close of the meal. The crab Louie salad was pretty underwhelming, especially being in an Oceanside town. I did appreciate the friendly greeting, but altogether the best part of the meal was the ketchup. Was hoping to be a bit more impressed by the cute, small town experience this place could have offered.

My wife declared it «the best meal she’s had in more than a year.» Five stars and a big hug to Café Garden on that front alone. The fact my father, step-mother, and I also loved the food & server makes this review one massive group hug for this restaurant. Café Garden on the remote Olympic Peninsula won’t be for those looking for a quick or inexpensive meal. The speed is peaceful while the bill added up quickly; however, Café Garden is for those in or visiting Port Angeles wanting fantastic flavor & stellar service. We started with couple glasses of Wild Meadows(WA) wines(Chardonnay for me and Merlot for her) and the complimentary sliced Bread with a Pesto Dipping Oil. Throughout the entire order process our server was extremely knowledgeable. If you are a foodie and want to know more about your food than the norm, Café Garden has the staff to serve you. Here’s what our group had … I recommend. There wasn’t one dish that disappointed. Café Surf & Turf($ 39) 28-day Aged Kobe-style Beef Steak grilled with Bearnaise Sauce plus pan-seared Jumbo U-10 Scallops with Bercy Sauce served with Yukon Mashed Potatoes and Asparagus. Cod Romesco($ 24) Pan-seared Cod with Romesco Sauce plus Rainbow Chard and Cennelini Beans with Wilted Spinach. Fresh Wild Salmon($ 32) Pan-seared Wild Local Salmon with Asparagus on a bed of Whipped Yukon Mash Potatoes Kobe Burger($ 18) Snake River Farms(Boise, Idaho) Kobe-style Beef on a Kaiser Bun with Lettuce, Tomato, Onion, and a House Sauce served with Fries Corn Chowder($ 8) Cream-based and thick Corn Soup with seasoning for zest. House Garden Salad($ 10) Arcadian Greens with Pumpkin Seeds, Pickled Vegetables, Cucumber, and Lemon with a Shallot Thyme Vinaigrette Sure, the casual fine dining combination offered from a «Café» plus a «Garden» is cool, but it’s the delicious food and knowledgeable service that made Café Garden so much more. Now everybody together for a group hug … 5 stars.

A little bit of Italian, a little bit of American. It has a very homey feeling to it with classical decors and comfortable booths all around. They gave us french bread with pesto oil, delicious! For appetizer, we ordered the fried calamari ! YUUUMMMY, the calamari itself was delicious! It sat on top of a mountain of vinaigrette salad which was very refreshing! A+ dish. I ordered the Seafood Pot Pie, which has very high rating on Unilocal. It came with either soup or salad. I picked the soup which is a tomato based soup with beans and veggies. I love tomatoes, usually anything with tomatoes in them I would enjoy. However, their soup had a very strong herby taste to it, almost overwhelming in my opinion. I am not sure what kind of herb it was, but it was not very pleasant. Then came the pot pie that I was so intrigued to try. First spoonful into it, that herby taste again! Not as strong as the soup, but definitely there! Maybe it was just my taste buds that did not appeal with that herby taste, but I had to trade with my boyfriend for his Kobe Burger plate because I could not stand that herby taste. It was like nothing I have tasted before.

Stopped at this restaurant while on a road trip for my sister’s birthday and it was a lucky find! Atmosphere was casual and slightly romantic. The bread, pesto, creamy asparagus soup and the salad with raspberry vinaigrette were all incredibly delicious! Not to mention that the main meals were equally satisfying; I got the Seafood Tetrazzini(shrimp had the tail shells connected in the baked dish) and my sister had Fresh Clams and Fettuccine. We shared their Blackberry Cobbler and ice cream for dessert which was to die for! The service was very attentive to us and polite. Overall it was an outstanding experience. I will be likely to drive the 3 hours to eat here again.

Fantastic food. Came here both days we stayed in Port A. Got the goat cheese heirloom tomato scramble and the Als special the next day. My friend got the crab Benedict and blackberry waffles. Portions were huge and the food was very fresh. We also got coffee as well. Prices are reasonable and the place is clean. Service was very good. The servers gave us recommendations for local activities and were very friendly. I highly recommend it. And can’t wait to come back

Chef Brian blows my mind every time. Don’t be fooled by first impressions. Looks a little dated but that’s because the owners&chef are ALL about the food! We ate calamari appetizer(saffron aioli is to die for), surf&turf(Kobe beef with the mushroom ragu was my fav) bacon halibut tarragon fettuccine in a creamy sauce was the table favorite. Smoky Seafood pot pie and Rosemary gnocchi were a couple of the other dishes and everything was well seasoned&cooked perfectly. One of my favorite places for local food on Olympic peninsula

It was a wonderful experience having breakfast at Café Garden! It is very dog friendly with a beautiful deck view! The wait staff was delightful and very helpful! The food was delicious but you might think of sharing the Al’s Special as it was enormous! Couldn’t ask for a better dining experience!

A spot that you may easily drive by(the parking lot was nearly empty), but luckily we had searched on Unilocal and found this gem. The smell of fresh seafood hits you when you walk in and you immediately realize that everyone knows everyone, but you’re treated no differently. We were there on a Saturday afternoon for lunch and had the company of a few other couples. I ordered the turkey burger and my date had the clam chowder. Both were amazing we even had a little leftover. Will definitely the spot to stop at on future trips.

This location was recommended by a days inn staff member. We tried it and found that the service was very good and the chef was on top chef! I could tell after eating the food that there was quality to it. There are some kinks in over powering flavors on scallops, but the sweets were all amazing and the sautéed clams hit the spot, on both flavor and creativity. The wait staff was great!

Stopped here for lunch after a long drive from Seattle. Very nice views of a garden even though this place sits on a busy highway. I ordered the warm seafood salad and was not disappointed. Perfectly cooked scallops, prawns, and salmon on a bed of fresh greens with just the right amount of dressing. This would be very easy to get wrong, but everything about this dish was just right. My companion had the seafood sandwich as was also impressed. Now, on to dessert. Wasn’t hungry but when we heard«peanut butter pie» we changed our minds. Perfect balance of peanut flavor to chocolate, buttery crust, crunchy peanuts on top, creamy, not too sweet. In short, where peanuts go to die. This was my first visit, but will definitely return to try breakfast.
