Terrible, terrible service. I could have made the food myself. How does this place have 4 stars?

Lived up to the previous reviews. Steak was excellent. Lava sticks a must appetizer. You can’t go wrong here.

We went to two different places my wife picked out on Unilocal before H2O, both we’re packed so we started walking, then we saw H2O, walked in, were greeted immediately, seated, and had drinks within 2 – 3 minutes, extremely fast. We both ordered entrees, and one appetizer. As far as PA goes this place was amazing, outstanding service, and a great friendly environment.

Definitely paying for the location & décor. Food’s ok, but portion is tiny for what you pay for. Ate the clam linguine that’s about $ 15 in 4 bites…& was still hungry. So we ate at home again.

Hungry and tired from a day of playing in Olympic NP. we struggled into this restaurant at 8pm. Half the tables were still full and we were seated right away. Service was great and the food hot, fresh, tasty and filling. Fish and Chips… Salmon burgers We highly recommend this nice restaurant with a water view.

By far the best restaurant here! The presentation was beautiful and it tastes equally fantastic! Bartender was creative and very friendly!

Average at best, we waited a long time for our food. The food wasn’t expensive, but mediocre is a good way to describe it. My wife ordered a beer flight, they didn’t give her the one she ordered. Then tried to tell us she got the right one. They have endless fries, but it takes so long to get a second order, there’s no reason to have endless fries, lol.

Just too slow, come if you have 4 hours for a dinner. They spend 20 minutes to clean only one table

4.5 stars. Food exceeded expectations. Seafood medoly/clam bake special was amazing. Very long wait for table for 5(only 2 – 3 tables can seat 6) they sat 4 other smaller groups. They came by to say food almost ready, and 20 min I’m still waiting. Kids waited over 40 min for food and we are still waiting… Other people’s food looks good. Tired children who wait 45+ for food ruin any good experience. Dq around the corner. Can’t imagine what’s it’s like during busy season. Food was awesome.

This is a quaint restaurant located in downtown Port Angeles with some ocean view near the waterfront. We arrived at 8pm on a Saturday and were greeted at the door by a friendly hostess while we were looking at the menu outside. Wait wasn’t long, but the restaurant was full. Our server Sarah was also sweet and provided excellent service. She was able to have the cook substitute salmon in their True Cod with creamy nutmeg dish. It was outstanding. The salmon was cooked perfectly with just the right amount of seasoning and was juicy and tender. We also ordered a salmon burger with unlimited fries and cup of seafood chowder. Salmon patty was blended woth arugula and tasted good too. Fries were steak fries. The chowder could have been thicker. We had our dinner by a nice window table. Décor in the restaurant was appealing, especially the mood lights.

I really wanted to like this place since my daughter and I LOVE seafood. The décor was nice and the service was fast upon walking in. It all went down hill after we got our food, that we waited for like 20 – 30 minutes while the place was mostly empty. –2 stars for service The guy serving us clearly hates his job and it resonates with the way he serves and cares for the customer satisfaction. I told the server that the clams, mussels and scallops have sand all over them, so he says okay, I’ll get you a new batch of clams… Not scallop or mussels… Then he brings the new batch of clams and those had even more sand inside of them. My wife and daughter tried eating and had to spit it out, once again. Once we were ready to leave, he doesn’t mention anything about taking the platter off the check or at least half of it, so I had to tell him that I’m not playing for the clams, mussels or scallop. So instead of taking the whole platter off the check, like any other restaurant would do to keep their customers and ratings satisfied, he tells me… Well it looks like you ate the crab and your shrimp, so how about I take half off. LOL. –2 stars for food First of all, the seafood platter was cold when it came out. To make things worse the seafood platter had sand on everything except for the crab, since the crab legs are fully enclosed. The salad that my wife got had dressing on it that didn’t match with the salad at all. Now I understand that this is a smaller town than what I’m used to and so the expectations shouldn’t be set too high, but if you’re charging me with high prices, well… You better make me love everything I eat and have great customer service.

The interior is nice, people are friendly, can’t complain on food. Here are major issues I had: Restroom. You need to get a key to get in. There is no changing table for a baby(I checked both male and female restrooms). Overall it is pretty intimidating. Tea. It is dead simple to make black tea. Boil water, add a tea bag. Apparently, they can’t get hot water. They serve it from coffee machine and it is warm as best. They were kind enough to try three times and even with a stove. Yet they failed a simple task to get boiled hot water! That was really disappointing. Waiting time even for salads was far beyond«bistro». Overall, I don’t get why people rate this place so high.

Great place good food all seamed very fresh I had the what up burger and it wasn’t a premise patty. It was good. My biggest tip is some burgers are served on a cedar plank do not be afraid to ask for a plate(easier for the fries)

Location: Stellar Environment: Nicely decorated, modern feel, comfortable but a little cramped Food: I had the Chx Parm sammich and it was deliciously messy. Yum! Everyone in our party seemed to be pleased with the food. The drinks were good, too. Beer on tap #FTW. Price: Affordable. Me, my wife and 3 year old ate for about $ 50 I had the unfortunate experience of checking my card statement, and noticed I was overcharged. I immediately visited the establishment and was very pleased with how accommodating the owner, Young, was in addressing my issue. She was very pleasant, communicated clearly, and took immediate action to reverse the charge. She was very apologetic and comped the full amount. She even sent me back to work with a free salad as I had spent the duration of my lunch break dealing with the issue. It could be said that she provided me every bit of service I deserved, and then some. This was a classic example of taking life’s lemons and making lemonade. I am a harsh critic. For being accommodated in a timely, respectful and professional way I feel it only fitting to give H20 the coveted«5 Star» rating for my review. Restaurants aren’t only about the food and I could tell that Young was very aware of this. Thank you.

Very disappointed in the service. The owner/server forgot to enter our full order, so my friend had her food while I waited another 45 mins for mine. We ordered the chowder & salad to come before our meal which it did not(came with our meal) we had to keep asking for coffee refills. Our finished plates never got cleared. I’m glad we tried this place but I won’t be returing. The food was ok. Everything was less than mediocre.

After spending the week in Port Angeles, I believe I have found a family-away-from-home! The H2O Waterfront Bistro is located in a great spot in downtown PA, right near the pier. I went here for dinner on Tuesday, and had such a great experience, that I went back every SINGLE day of my trip! The owner, Young, is often seen buzzing around the restaurant spreading her positivity and high energy throughout. She makes sure every customer feels at home, and is always laughing and smiling! The bar and kitchen staff are amazing, and always stop to have a conversation or share stories. The food is absolutely delicious! With such a great waterfront location, they are always stocked up on the freshest ingredients! I will be returning to Port Angeles in a few weeks for work, and I know EXACTLY where I will be spending my evenings. Thank you for welcoming me into your family, H2O Waterfront Bistro!

Being from Las Vegas there’s nothing you can’t get here. Except a Shipwreck Bloody Mary from H2O. My aunt and uncle took me to H2O so I could experience this It takes about 20 min for them to make it but it’s totally worth the wait. This bloody Mary is loaded with everything from a slider to chicken wings. It’s a mountain of delicious goodness. Ordered a cup of the seafood chowder and it was excellent. After conquering the Bloody Mary and cup of chowder I was stuffed and buzzed!

We came here because it was very close to our hotel, it appeared to have seafood on the menu, and some of the reviews were really positive. Although I didn’t try it, I admit I was drawn to the photos of the Shipwreck Bloody Mary. Choosing H2O meant we didn’t try the Asian tapas place on the same block, and we regret that decision. The interior is interesting, and nothing about it is bad. I like the visual of the seafoam/teal colored lighted bar. The service was really polite, but obviously not experienced. Our server, who was also the barkeep, gave us updates too frequently and unnecessarily. It was nice, but too attentive and disruptive — I am enjoying an evening with my wife, not the H2O staff. In his defense, the kitchen did seem to be pretty slow and I think he was trying to demonstrate that he was aware of the time issue and was on top of it. I had the fish and chips, which were recommended. My wife had seafood chowder and a salad. The fish n chips were pretty good — one piece cod and one piece salmon, both large. The cod was great — light and flakey. The salmon piece was a bit of a mystery, however. It may have been the piece of salmon or how it was cooked, but the traditional salmon flavor was missing entirely. It didn’t taste like fish at all, actually. It was still good, but not fish-like. The seafood chowder was thick and comforting with a generous amount of seafood. It was astoundingly bland, however. It was corrected with table salt and pepper. It is something I would get again, just knowing I would need to season it. It was very comforting. My wife may have read the menu incorrectly. She was really expecting a side salad with chicken. She ended up with an absolute monster. It was a salad for an army. It was presented in a fried bowl, and was full of spinach. One strange thing: no draft cider. We are in Washington — why isn’t there draft cider? Overall, my impression is that this place is fine. It’s ok. It’s mediocre. It ain’t bad, but it ain’t great. It midlin.

I just happened to come to this place on a whim. It has a nice and inviting atmosphere, which is what drew me in. My waiter/bartender explained that they use only reverse osmosis water and recyclable/compostable to-go containers and try to be as green as possible in a bunch of other ways that I have now forgotten. I had the ahi tuna burger, which was pretty good. For the price($ 10.99), I didn’t have super high expectations. A thin slice of grilled tuna with crispy coleslaw on it with a grilled pineapple slice was just what I needed. It came with two onion rings skewered through the sandwich and bottomless fries. The fries were pretty soft, not the way I like them but I still ate most of them anyways. So if you’re really hungry and looking for decent food you should try this place. Nice and friendly staff, good mixed drinks, and a convenient location.
