After being a customer for over ten years, I was perturbed to be told they wouldn’t accept a return of a couple dollars because of a damaged package. While I understand the reason, I’m disappointed.
I think local businesses should reward customers for avoiding the cheaper big box alternative by shopping at a local business by going above and beyond their competitors. A very inexpensive refund would have made me a continued loyal customer.
Instead, I’ve left there after a negative experience and don’t every plan to return for multiple reasons, but most importantly because I can get EVERYTHING cheaper elsewhere and not have to deal with small town employers who provide no costumer service training and make enemies out of costumers.
The trend I’ve been seeing is these small businesses aren’t evolving with the trends and are suffering because of it.
