Vince’s Seafood

Well, my family has enjoyed the popcorn shrimp for years and years. It is Always a consistent great, fresh flavor. We will continue to enjoy their cooking. Lots of good food offered.

After exploring the area and asking locals, decided on this for lunch. Real good. I got shrimp, oysters, and catfish combo. All is thin breaded that I not like much but is ok. Not sure I would return however. French fries are good. Real thin breading so is better.

My family has been loyal to these place (for crawfish) for years! We don’t even consider trying out the other places. When it’s crawfish season, we go straight to Vince’s. Even though the prices are steep at times, we still choose Vince’s because they’re that good.
OH! And another thing about them I like is the fact that their crawfishes come clean or I guess you can say cleaner than other places. What I mean by that is they don’t serve you crawfish jumbled up with onion pieces and other stuff to I guess season the crawfish and they serve you 96% dirt-​free crawfishes. Either than that, they come to you in bright cooked delicious-​looking red, ready for you to devour them :)
I haven’t ate anything else xept for the crawfish so I can’t tell you much on the other food items they sell but you just gotta try their crawfish! It’s sooooo good and addicting. PA’s my home and whenever I come down from Houston to visit home, it’s either during crawfish season or Christmas. It’s sad, I know but there’s literally NOTHING down there xept those crawfish that canNOT even compare to the crawfish in Houston other than LA Crawfish, I think.

A local dive that you may drive by and not know what good you are missing…
I do not come in town often, but when I do. I like to eat where my family eats and they found a simple and good lunch spot for take out.
This place has gone through MANY business names from the 70’s to today. but here, Vince’s Seafood has the lunch time spot.
We like to order: Catfish Strip plate, Shrimp Fried Rice, and Stuffed Shrimp.
Catfish Strips: Battered and fried in a good fine grain corn meal that gives you enough season and crisp to the fish while keeping the it flaky and fresh. Sometimes people over fry the food where it is burnt in old oil or too fast and the meat of the fish is not flaky… just more rubbery.
NOT here… the strips were really good and I never used a sauce, they were just that good and I did not want to ruin the fresh flavor.
Shrimp Fried Rice: my daughters favorite here. The rice is moist, the shrimp are small and bite sized while being cooked good, and the rice is not «days old» like some places try to serve you. Give it a try. its worth it for the taste and the value.
Stuffed shrimp: Not the best, but real good for what you are ordering. Big pieces that are cooked well and seasoned good.
All plates listed above came with fries and a small bite sized salad. The salad was fresh with a «thousand island» styled dressing and the fries were freshly fried perfectly with a light salt from the food that sat on top of it in our «to go» box.
They have many choices to choose from, but I keep choosing the same things I like… give them a try for a good simple lunch or dinner.
