Kohl’s

Staff was very pleasant and greeted me when I entered the store. The store was very neat, with the exception of the clearance racks. There were many good deals and sales underway, and Kohls is always good with additional 15 & 20% off coupons. Check-​out was very slow, 2 registers open and several people waiting to check out.

I have never been in a Kohl’s previously. I had only ever heard of them once or twice when they built a new store in Daytona Beach. I never saw much in their flyers that would draw me in, but this Sunday I was in the area and was looking for any reason NOT to go back to work and figured I would stop in to kill my mind.
True to form, I gravitated initially to the clearance and sale racks. I find that I can always get a good idea for the intrinsic value of the goods as well as who the patrons of a clothing store are by comparing the objects on the clearance racks with the racks as a whole. While I did find two hoodies (bright orange and dark green), I found that the store really had nothing for me. My analysis of this chain:
1. They have some passable design and style
2. They have some fairly decent prices
3. The conjunction of items 1 and 2 were almost non-​existent.
While I love my hoodies, I didn’t see enough at this chain to really ever warrant a return trip for me.

We went to Florida recently to visit some family and since most of the family we visited were women, of course I got dragged on a shopping trip, LOL. At least I did get a free meal out of it:) I had never been in a Kohl’s before although after having been into one, I plan on visiting more Kohl’s in the Atlanta area. I really liked the deals that they had on their men’s clothes (professional and casual). If I had to describe this place to someone who had never been before I would say it’s like a Marshall’s but a little more upscale, sort of like the difference between Target and Wal-​Mart in my opinion. In my opinion, there wasn’t much of a discrepancy between Kohl’s prices and Marshall’s although I didn’t do a lot of in-​depth research on that while I was in there, LOL. The wife did find a lot of good deals on baby clothes in here and the prices on those were very competitive.
The staff were very friendly at this particular store although on this occasion we only interacted with the young lady at the register. We go to Florida quite a bit and I can see this becoming one of our regular stops when we are in town.
