Lowe’s Home Improvement

Over the past several years I have spent many thousands of dollars between Home Depot and Lowes. Lowes has been my store of choice due to closeness; however, after my last experience I am wising up and going to ACE. I needed help with sprinkler heads and a surly male was so unhelpful that I now have a head that I am going to return because I don’t know how to operate it. Then, I shall drive a few blocks to ACE where they will have somebody who takes the time to really help. No «blood clots» there as at HD and Lowes. I should know not to expect much help at the big box stores. One would think I was immune to poor service after having 33 years experience dealing with the USPS. The Return desk leaves much to be desired too. One would think they were having to refund from their own pocket when merchandise is unacceptable. While I’m on my rant, I have mentioned several times, even via email to corporate that flying an American flag would be a nice, patriotic touch, HD does but I don’t choose to patronize them for some of the same reasons about poor service. Good Bye Lowes.

I will be shopping at an alternative location due to the rudeness of store personnel in the return department even after successfully obtaining a total refund for a defective smoke alarm. Due to their inability to locate the item listed on the store receipt, it was suggested, and I quote, «you didn’t buy that item here». They also stated that Lowe’s has removed the item from all stores and it is not in the system for purchase or exchange. Funny how I found it on line. Unprofessional and irritating.

I am in the process of ordering plantation shutters for my hone. Reesa in the windows and blind department is very knowledgeable, friendly and professional. Unfortunately she is the only one in that department who seems to know what to do. If she is not working there is no one to cover that department. She is very busy and definitely needs more help.

Very disappointed. Front page of ad had item I wanted. Went the morning of the first day of sale and was told they were sold out of the item. Asked for a raincheck. They said no. Ad did not say limied quanties. Drove there for nothing.

They offer a 10% discount every day on all items if you have proof of military service. I love these guys for the respect they pay to those who have served their country. Plus the associates are friendly and knowledgeable.
See my tip. They have changed their policy. No discount unless you can prove current service. Too bad :-(

This is a good Lowe’s. Being in an area with a lot of retired contractors that are bored with their retirement does have its perks. One of those perks is that they go to work for Lowe’s and so are able to answer your questions so that one CAN do it themselves. The associates are always willing to help and they are fairly knowledgeable.
