Amazing place for hair cuts and alternative styles and colors. I’ve been to lots of salons who have no idea what their doing when I walk in asking for Bright Pink hair. These guys know exactly what their doing. Friendly staff, super comfy and chill environment. Just a great place all around. Lots of love for these guys.

Okay, so I have been here (North Port) 3 years… I have been dying to find a barbershop… WHOA kids this is not your dads barbershop. Shipwreck Dandy is very cool… great ambiance (can you say ambiance for a barbershop?) Looks awesome… Great art (some for sale), and the barbers… whats better than awesome… awesomer!!!
When I walked in I was greeted given a place to sit and offered a beverage. (Beer, soda, water you choice… if you are of age. Katy is the lady that cut my hair… highly recommend, great skill and super funny… Shipwrecks is kid friendly too! I was thrilled with the experience and the service… Will be going back!

I am very particular about my hair, I will never visit a new salon without a recommendation. When I tried Jenn at shipwreck dandy I prayed she would give me the color and style I had hoped for. She knew exactly what I needed and gave me the want to return. I always walk out feeling beautiful, the business is very trendy so I’m not afraid to ask for something new and I always enjoy their hospitality… they make you feel like a friend rather than a client. I would highly recommend them!

Went in on a Wednesday afternoon on the recommendation of a coworker who does NOT frequent Shipwreck Dandy. As a native New Jerseyan who’s been in Florida for just shy of a month, I found this place to be reminiscent of Asbury Park. The place exudes an inviting ambiance with its electic décor (I’d call it a folk-​sy punk rock blend-​think pin-​up girls and sailor tattoos) and good tunes. The staff was super friendly, professional and attentive, and my haircut is boss. The price is right, and the customer service is impecceable. The only bummer for me was having to forego the complimentary PBR since I was on my lunch hour from the office. Go here. You won’t be disappointed.

Grateful this place exists. Austin can cut a modern barber style hair better than anyone in southwest FL. The place looks amazing and has such a good vibe.
