Just had the most amazing breakfast. We just ran upon Sweets Diner and can say we will defiantly be back. The food was amazing and the hospitality was above and beyond. It was almost entertaining to watch the staff work so hard to make everything delicious.

Dirty tiny restaurant with rude waitstaff. Food was ok but very under seasoned. Won’t be back. Their numerous health violations speak for themself.

So… after great Unilocaler’s aided in directions for Sweet’s we gave it another whirl! YUM! We’ve been back twice and both times PACKED and food is awesome! Love that while you wait you are served mini muffins as a free appetizer :) Breakfast is always food here and the severs are working their little hiney’s off so be a bit patient if it takes a minute for a coffee refill… it’ll come with a smile and a good attitude! This is one of our stops on motorcycle riding day.

Wonderful little diner!!! My mother-in-law was looking everywhere for SOS and this is the place to find it !!! Greek omelette was very tasting with bites of feta. Real old fashioned home fries and bottomless coffee

Small place so there could be a wait. Staff is extremely efficient. Had the Pile up and the French Toast. Everyone really enjoyed their food. They have mini brownies and banana nut breads. They are delicious also. Bill was $ 50 for 5 people. Went back again!

We went to Sweet’s Diner for a late Sunday breakfast in December. We didn’t have to wait– we sat ourselves. It was rather tight but definitely not too small or unexpected for a diner. I’ve been to a lot of breakfast places and Sweet’s is average. Our server was exceptional; I wish we recalled her name. The prices are very good(coming from Boston). For our two breakfasts’ we were out for less than 20. But the food is below average and the place is kind of dirty. The homefries are the frozen kind. The pancake I had was an Apple Cinnamon but had raw batter behind the apples. The toast was average, the eggs were fine, the bacon was above average and the omelette we had was slightly overcooked. All in all, the portions are large, the prices are fair, the place is divey, but I have certainly had better breakfasts.

Our go-to place for breakfast. My wife loves the omelettes and I usually have a half order of their Pile Up; the half order is very filling but one of these days I’ll have to make a go at a full order. They are often quite busy for breakfast but worth the wait. The mini muffins they give you before you order is a nice touch and usually quite tasty. Everyone is always friendly and they provide great service. We have yet to try lunch here but expect to soon, looking forward to it!

Small on size, but HUGE where it counts. This place has some of the best food in town. The breakfast«Pile Up» is worth the trip. Service is always nice and they all welcome you and say«Thank You» when you leave. I definitely recommend to anyone looking for good food at affordable prices.

My wife and I have been here many times for breakfast and it never disappoints! Definitely some of the best hash browns around. I always get the scrambled eggs and pancakes as well. The portions are huge, so my wife and I always take home leftovers. Definitely one of the best places to get breakfast in Port Charlotte! Oh yes. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her eggs Benedict.

Took a bit to find this place but it is worth the search. Had the pork tenderloin sandwich and it was almost like being back in the midwest. Very nice staff, can’t wait to go back!

2 hairs found in food. Sausage patties were flavorless. Waitress was friendly though. Mediocre food at best.

Was at the Ace Hardware down the street and asked the girl if there were any places to get breakfast nearby. We didn’t finish our question before she was recommending Sweets! Keep an eye out for it or you’ll miss it! We circled back around to it and were glad we did. It’s a small, real live, diner! atmosphere is fantastic. sat down and they put a small dish with 4 mini banana muffins. They were very tasty. Our meals were prepared to perfection. Usually when I order scrambled egg, soft… the cook will cook regular scrambled eggs and then chop them up! Wrong! My I never saw the bottom of my coffee cup, as best I tried. The waiter(a holdover, along with his girlfriend, from the previous owners) kept my coffee hot & fresh! We are here on business, but we will be back!

Great breakfast spot. Locals love it. Like Cheers all the regulars come in. Famous for the pileup you get a bumper sticker. Boy is it good and huge! Great daily specials. Waitstaff is exceptional they remember your choices. Charles has the best sense of humor.

My husband and I were here for brunch during a house hunting trip. This place is where the locals go. I had the pile up and my husband had eggs benedict. He said it was one of the best he’s ever had. My plate was so full that I could only finished half. The check was only about $ 21 for two huge portions and drinks. Our waitress Laura was warm and very kind. She got us enrolled in local rewards program that will earn money back based our our daily expenses. We will definitely be back.

I’ve learned lots of useless knowledge over the years-how long I can go without watering plants, how never to touch Izzy’s belly or, that a perfect pot of coffee is three equally perfect servings in my industrial sized mug. Perhaps the most useful useless knowledge is that some of the most delicious food can be found in the unlikeliest places. Sweet’s Diner fits that category. Located in an unassuming strip mall that has a big plastic cow/steer looking animal as the visual landmark didn’t leave me very optimistic but I wanted to try it based on my fellow Unilocaler’s reviews. It’s a hole. Dingy and rather dark with tables too close together but we found an empty one and snagged it. I went with the half pile-up breakfast. Home fries, a biscuit, sausage gravy, sausage patties, Cheddar cheese, and two eggs made to order served in, can you venture a guess, a big pile. Home fries were crispy and well seasoned(and a dish I’ve yet to find in California that is done well) The sausage gravy, one of my top five favorite things in Deep South cooking, was a good blend of the salty yet peppery flavor I’ve come to associate with it, biscuit was soft and flaky, and the eggs were scrambled well. Put all those things together and one realizes that a Bloody Mary pairing makes for the perfect hangover breakfast. I was not hungover(woe is me or yea me, depending on perspective) but it was a decidedly delicious way to start the day.

So my wife wanted to go out to Cracker Barrel for Mother’s day. Of course ever other wife and mother had the same thought. So for once we thought outside the box and heard great reviews for Sweets Diner. Now the wait at Cracker Barrel was ridiculous. We walked straight into Sweets and were seated. The smell in this place was amazing. They have a great menu with the daily specials posted on a chalk board. The price was great. My 4 year old who can’t sit still anywhere sat for her entire meal and finished everything on her plate. This is definitely a hidden gem in Charlotte County.
