I said I wouldn’t give this place another chance but I was going to make pizza at home and didn’t have time to make dough. I stopped in and they refused to sell it to me. That was a first. Your dough is not that good, I’m not going to steal the recipe.

Food was delicious! Pizza was super thin much thinner than i expected but it was different, good and crispy. I recommend getting the brussel sprouts, they were amazing. My fiancé and I shared one pie and we could have easily eaten two. next time i will get my own pie, they look big but they are thin so one pie is manageable.

Great service, very unique awesomely thin crust pizza, good wings, huge salads and really nice beer selection! The décor is interesting so I don’t think we would normally have walked in if it wasn’t for the good Unilocal reviews. Overall it is worth trying for the artisan pizzas, they are very different and on a very thin crust. A bit pricy especially since one pie might not be enough for two people(once again — very thin crust). Will definitely go back to try some more pies though :)

Stopped in before a concert at The Capitol Theatre. Ordered a Rustic pizza and Caesar salad. This is officially the thinnest crust I have had on a pizza:) and the salad was large. They use fresh ingredients and the taste is wonderful! The atmosphere is hip with dim lighting and few tables. The staff was attentive and service was fast. There is also a bar for some seating.

«I think I want to live here»…perfect salads. Pizza cooked over fire, the wings are ethereal and the craft beers… lets just say it doesn’t last very long.

Have you ever tasted charcoal? I did once as a kid. That is what this pizza tasted like. $ 13.40 for a TINY ‘Margarita’. This isn’t thin crust pizza. This is some sort of over oiled flat bread sort of crust. more like an awful tasting cracker the width of a dime. There were 4 tiny drops of tasteless sauce, tasteless cheese and few sprigs of burnt basil. When ordering I asked for little char/crust not to be burned as I always do. There were no char marks but the second we opened the box outside the restaurant, our car smelled like that awful smell you get when walking past a recently burned down restaurant. The awful burned odor ended up on our hands and remained in the car long after we threw that box out. This was seriously the most sickening, inedible pizza I’ve ever had since I started eating it at 2 years old. How it could even be called a Margarita is beyond me. I feel pizza-traumatized now with trying a new place! Don’t let this review scare you off. The place is cool inside and probably after eight drinks, the flavor of eating half a bag of Kingsford charcoal might not bother you so much. Glowing reviews led me here, but as with most things in life, I’ve learned something new the hard way: Apparently people love charcoal flavored cracker ‘pizza’.

9:28pm Wednesday — «Kitchen’s Closed» Google says 10pm Close. Heard this place was great, disappointed, I’m sure the owner would be too… Anti-hospitable.

You say you’re looking for a hipster pizza joint in the heart of Port Chester? Here you go! I sat at the bar, ordered a pizza and salad. Both were fantastic! This place is smallish and is more of bar with a few tables around. There are a lot of beers to choose from, including Colt 45, I assume, based on the Billy Dee Williams light sign on the wall(did I mention the hipster factor?). Solid food, solid drink, good service.

I’ve been meaning to visit Coals for a few months now and I finally got the chance when my brother in-law was in town and we were looking for somewhere to eat. Coals is a quaint restaurant/bar with an ample selection of local beers and wines to choose from. Although the food menu is small they have a really solid options to choose from. My husband and I are vegan, I was really happy to see that they had a vegan pizza on the menu. We ordered it and even the non-vegan in our group said it was fantastic! I’ve personally never had a grilled pizza before and I didn’t think I liked thin crust but Coals managed to prove me wrong because their pizza was just perfect! The portions were large enough for 2 people to share one pizza and the prices were very reasonable for the quality in my opinion. I can definitely see us coming back again very soon!

Came here for dinner tonight before seeing a movie at the AMC. They opened at 5 and we got there at 5:30ish, impressed that already half the tables were filled. I was very impressed by their beer selection(lots of locals) and opted for a flight – 44 oz. pours for $ 8 – which I loved since I can never make a decision. For dinner I ordered the Rustic pizza and my boyfriend got the burger. I LOVED the pizza. I don’t normally eat an entire pizza but the super thin crust was so tasty that I just had to. The mushrooms were a great addition and even the parsley on top I could tell was super fresh. I had a bite of the burger and it was juicy and delicious. As our meal went on, the place got super crowded and people were waiting for tables. Even so, we never felt rushed and the service was super attentive and great. Will definitely be back next time we’re in Portchester! Solid place :)

Simple menu with excellent ingredients! Pizza is thin crusted and delicious… try the hummus pizza it is surprisingly great. Wings are amazing and wing sauce is so good I would recommend using it as dipping sauce for pizza. Burgers are juicy and made with fresh ingredients. Waitress and Bartenders are very friendly and they consistently provide excellent service.

Coals was a great place to grab some pizza and a beer before a show at the Capitol Theater. We got the margherita pizza, which was enough for a light dinner for two. The crust was more like flatbread than pizza crust. This ended up working well for the grilled style of pizza — the crust was soft, but also crispy. The mozzarella and tomato sauce were nice, although I could have used more basil on the pizza. The beer selection here was great too, and it was fun to try a couple beers. If you can’t decide on a particular beer, they offer flights of 4×4 oz. I’d definitely come back here, if only to hang out in a cozy atmosphere with a great choice of beers.

Great local spot! The pizzas are delicious and made for sharing. Not too many tables, so you may need to wait to be seated. Great spot for beer and some thin crust pizza. Don’t forget to try the brussels sprouts appetizer!

Great thin crust grilled pizza. Nice atmosphere. Bar size is tiny but the beer selection and character make up for it. The ingredients are fresh, prepared well and every pizza has well a thought out combination of toppings. Don’t skip the burger — it’s one of the best I’ve had in the area. Service was great and they knock off a dollar on draft beers when you’re seeing a show at the Capitol Theatre. It also seems like they have a lot of craft beer events and partnerships with other local business. Seeing a business tied to the community doesn’t happen often! Love that Coals does.

Disappointed… Ordered 2 pizzas and wings to-go, paid 45 bones and was given 2 burnt pizzas and wings that tasted like they were in a kitchen fire. My order should never have left the kitchen and I’m 100% that if I was dining in, it wouldn’t have… but because it was to-go they were all, f%&k it.

Best thin crust pizza I’ve ever had! We had a late weekend lunch. Ordered Smokey Joe pizza, cheese burger and fries. Pizza was freshly baked and perfectly thin and crisp. A bit salty topping so might be better with beer. Cheese burger was very classic style but pattie was juicy. Fries was also good. Kind staffs, cozy atmosphere. Will come again.

Large, thin, light, cheesy, and flavorful ‘pizza’ that left me wanting more This place really surprised me. Definitely the best thin crust I’ve ever had, no contest. I tried three different pies and the ‘rustic’ was my favorite. The combination of truffle oil, mushrooms and quality cheese was delicious. The atmosphere here gives off a bit of a NYC hipster vibe with micro-brews available and some quality beers on tap. Although I didn’t have any beer on this occasion, I definitely appreciated the options they offered. Service was on point. Our pizzas came out in 10 – 15 minutes and drink refills were constant. Although this is a 30 minute trek from my home I will definitely be back for more.

The food was really good. Although some might gripe, I like that the pizzas are so thin. It’s all about the toppings, anyway. My favorites were the PUREBLISS and the MUSTHAVE. The CRISPYBRUSSELSSPROUTS were delicious too. I’m already a fan of the sprouts, but they were good enough to convert a non-veggie eater. I would have given 5 stars, but the service was actually pretty terrible. Our female server was very unfriendly, borderline rude. Also, we had to wait an ungodly amount of time for our table, despite it being a weekday night. And prices are quite high, for Port Chester, but considering they are artisanal pizzas, it’s justified. I do appreciate that they offer a free pint of beer with purchase of a pizza(before 6pm). Thanks to new and interesting restaurants, like Coals, Main St. is reclaiming it’s former glory. You go, Port Chester!
