Enterprise Rent-A-Car

Made a reservation to rent a car for yesterday afternoon. I receive a call that they will call me when there is a car ready. I call back a few hours later to the local branch, but got diverted to the main hub (knowing nothing about the inventory in oxnard) who tell me to come in early that the car will be ready. So, I get a ride down there, only to find out that I was highly misinformed. So the guy behind the counter says that they have no cars and 7 people ahead of me waiting, for cars that wont arrive. WTF!!! I get my ride back home now realizing that Enterprise totally screwed up my whole trip planned for the weekend! This is a complete FAIL on all parts, local, internet/​online, and corporate. 1) I got screwed online, they never should have said the car was available to rent or be reserved. 2) The local office staff didn’t have a very concise message for me concerning my rental availability. 3) Corporate hub FAILS because they take the overflow calls from the local offices, and attempt to control things from St. Louis, not knowing what’s going on with the local inventory or staff! Ultimately the local branch is to blame. I wasted my time going down to the branch, only to come home empty handed. I never got a call between 2pm-​close explaining the horribly unacceptable mix up with their over booking and inability to fulfill their obligations. NOTHING!!! NOT A DAMN WORD! So I called corporate to file a formal complaint this morning. Apparently it goes to a regional manager and a local branch manager. I guess we will see how long it take for them to start acting like a professional business that actually gives a shit about its customers. So far ¼ of my weekend is ruined and I am unable to go spend time with an old friend. Thanks a lot !

I have, and will in the future, rented a lot of cars from this location and have never been dissatisfied with their customer service or vehicles. If you want professional service, this is where to go.

The full staff here are extremely attentive to all customers need. A delight to deal with, all happy to be at work and eager to please! Well Done!

I would like to commend the staff at Enterprise for their outstanding handling of my insurance rental. I was the victim of a collision and the insurance company was fighting their liability coverage. It was so stressful having to fight them to honor their obligation. However, CARLY was amazing!!! She did her best to alleviate my anxiety and truly made a world of difference in my experience. Excellent customer service and just a really great person. She’s the reason I left with a smile on my face, and I arrived fighting tears! Can’t thank her enough and recommend everybody ask for her! True sunshine! I will only go there for my car rental needs in the future!

I always have good customer service at this car rental. I returned my car back at 8:15 AM informing them I needed a ride home. I was told it would be a few minutes before someone could take me home. It started to get crowded with everyone returning the car after the holiday with only one staff working. It was 9:00 am and I was still waiting for a ride home. I finally asked Tom if he knew when I could get a ride home because I had someone coming to do repairs on my house. Tom said, «We are not a taxi service and we do not schedule times for rides. His tone of voice was upset. Another customer heard him and said he was very rude to me and should not had spoken to me like that. I ended paying for a taxi to take me home. I hope next time when I get a rental car the customer service will be better.

Wish Lou and the old staff could come back they were the best. the staff there now, by far the worse ever since I’ve been renting, not going into details but after my terrible rental experience last week my wife called and complained about them and i received a fake ass «I’m sorry call from the district manager who said he would send me an email with his info and before I rent again to send him a message and he would take care of us personally, well still waitin for that info, surprise, not…
By the way brothas beware don’t think Tom likes the darker humans, he gonna take you through hell tryin to get you a car as if ur renting some sort of Bentley or something. Then when you return it he’s gonna hit you with the old «where’d that scratch come from «and scrutinize every little scratch on the car and then try to blame you for it. Never again with that store they suck

I rarely give 5 reviews as it means there is no more room for improvement. We should always strive to improve.
I will say that I have had the very best service so far. For nearly 4 months, I have been using this location and the staff have been nothing but professional and courteous. They always greet me using my first name upon entry. Always provide me with courtesy upgrades when vehicles are unavailable on location. Never had any issues but it doesn’t mean it will be the same for others.
As long as you have the funds and required documentation, you should have no problems. Those that have problems usually have problems in other areas in their lives.

This is the third time we’ve used Enterprise in Port Hueneme. The people are always nice, but the cars are always dirty. Small office and no service bays or car wash I guess. But we’ll keep using them because they’re close and the prices are good.

This location sucks pretty bad. Two people working and answering calls in the middle of my paperwork? I’m sure it helped the people on the phone but they were wasting my time.
I had a double upgrade coupon and requested a full size. No full size cars on the lot. Since I was in a rush I left with a piece of shit Chrysler that was dirty and the gas tank on empty. Awesome! I went to get gas at costco and the line was too long so I stopped in the Enterprise on Ventura Blvd. and they had a ton of cars available. I explained my situation and they hooked me up with a full size, no questions asked.
I will never go back to the PH location even though it’s closer to my house.

If the previous staff would come back this place would get a 5 stars, but with the current staff and having Erin as a manager there this store is going down hill. It sucks this is the only rental car place that is close to my house. Really wish they would bring back the old staff. I don’t like any of the new people. Be aware of Shane he is sneaky and will not explain what you are signing and next thing you know you got all the insurance even though u said no originally. enterprise please bring back the staff u had before this group of not so smart people.

Great fast service was in and out in less then 5 minutes! Upgraded to a nicer car for $ 5

I have rented several times from the Port Hueneme site and every time they have greeted me when I come in and assist me promptly. I appreciate that someone is available to answer any question that may come up during my rental. I will definitely continue to use this convenient location when I need a vehicle for a quick weekend trip or family vacation.

All ental dealers want your business, right? I haven’t shopped around to comapre services that others may offer. Be smart. Check what others offer and go from there. «Enterprise Rent-​A-​Car» has been fine for me since my days of living in Anaheim, CA. Specifically the one on Beach Boulevard as you aproach Huntington Beach. So I’m kinda sticking with them for sentimental reasons and not so much for any extraordinary thing on their part. You’ll be taken care of. Caution: read the fine print.

Smart, very responsive staff. Driver’s license had expired, they offered to drive me over to the DMV and pick me up when done. They did a little extra to rent that car.

I had to get a rental while my car was being repaired by a body shop. The front desk representative made it an experience not worth reliving. I was to get a «mid size» vehicle. She says «We don’t have any vehicles here right now except a truck or a Mini Van». She wasn’t trying to let me have the truck. Basically she was trying to force the mini van on me. 3 X’s I had to tell her in different ways I don’t do mini vans. She still came back with a rebuttal that it would only be for the day. Still I had to say «NO». I think if they replaced her or put her in the back, it would be better because she doesn’t listen to the customer. I can’t say her name but it starts with an N and ends with an E. The guy that took me to Ventura for my rental vehicle was helpful, nice and accommodating. The rental car was super dirty on the inside (Dodge Magnum) but the car was great on gas!

Yeah, I reserved a vehicle with only a few hours between the time I needed to pick it up. That does give some douche in a cheap shirt&tie to get an attitude. The fecal head called after I reserved, to let me know that there were no cars and they will have one when I arrive. He also, stated that he would notify me if no vehicle is available a half hour before pick up, So, I took a jog over, why not?
The douche gets an attitude with me and told me in a stern voice that, «there are no cars.» Whoa, bro. Calm down, your job is not high risk. All you do is push a pencil and file paper.
You know, a little exercise couldn’t hurt you, either.

Horrible experience! I needed a SUV for my trip to Mammoth for a holiday weekend. I understood that it was going to busy, but this office only had two employees and they were completely swamped! They were supposed to pick me up, but neglected to call me that they were going to be late. Luckily, my friend happened to be in the area and dropped me off at their location. After getting the paperwork sorted, the representative told me I had to rent chains at the local Pep Boys.
That was false information. Granted, I found it suspicious that chains would be rented, but it was my first snow trip and I had no clue what I was in for. So I had to buy chains for a car that I do not own.
I had a tight schedule when returning the vehicle because I had rented a snowboard and needed to return it right away. There was only one employee and there were 6 customers in line and growing. My paperwork was sorted out quickly, but I needed a ride back home. I couldn’t wait any longer as the snowboard rental shop was closing, and I inconvenienced another friend to give me a ride.
I eventually went to the Enterprise website and emailed them stating what I had gone through. They stated that chains were not allowed on rental vehicles and that all rentals had weatherproof tires.
I will probably use Enterprise again, since there are AAA discounts and their prices are the best in comparison. But I will definitely not rent from this Port Hueneme location.

I’ve rented from here a few different times, the latest being in 2009, and the staff were agreeable, helpful and professional. The cars I rented were clean and I suppose bad feedback from people like Mari was taken to heart because they treated me just fine.

After renting a car this weekend I am really starting to lose confidence in this place. The customer service is not good anymore. To give you a look at what i went through you will get the picture. First my experience with Enterprise SUCKED! my reservation was for 12p we got their late 1225p, as we got the paperwork completed we walked outside to an ugly white Dodge Caravan upon opening the door for inspection it was quite obvious the van was returned from the previous renter it was not clean or serviced. It still had trash in the van from previous renter. The seats were not attached so my husband had to help the associate with latching them in place and the associate remarked you shouldnt even be doing this and i remarked yeah this should have been done before we even got here. After a good 30 minutes of getting the seats in place the associate asked if we wanted to drive over to the Oxnard Airport to get the car cleaned and i said no this should have been done way before we got there and mind you i was late for my reservation giving the rental place ample time to have it ready for us. I am a paying customer putting up my money to pay for great service. This place sucked the manager was behind the counter praising her management history and how do i know this her 7 years is the day of my daughters bday July 20. To make matters worse she is manager at the airport one damn!!! I get a great deal from my insurance company to rent vans actually a really great deal and i believe that is why i get bad customer service. Talk about subpar service. Call and ask before you get there to make sure your car is cleaned and in good working order damn our van sounded like it was about to break down on the freeway. Channel Islands Enterprise does not deserve even a damn star!!! I videotaped my rental just in case I get this happening to me AGAIN!!! yeah i am going to rent but not from this ghetto place AGAIN!!!
