What I like about staying in their room is the cleanliness and this room meet what I want. This is much much better than any other hotels. They wide screen LGTV, nice refrigerator and always have ONE cold bottled H2O and it is very helpful whenever u arrive in a hotel. Recap: Clean bathroom. Nice & good TV and refrigerator, very comfy room.

Nice hotel for the price. Getting on base is a process, as with any military base. The hotels outward appearance is simple but clean. We stepped into the room and were pleasantly surprised. Nice faux wood flooring, stainless steel appliances, Kurig coffee maker, LG flat screen tv with Directv programming, granite counter tops in the bathroom and a spacious shower. Not bad for $ 70/night. As stated in other reviews, housekeeping comes around at 8am, and you can hear them rolling the carts up and down the hallways. We stayed here for a wedding ceremony at the Bard Mansion which was located right next to the hotel. Pretty convenient and nice. Front desk staff were helpful and nice. I recall one review stating that you couldn’t get cell service in the rooms. I wrote this review from my room on my smartphone and have a good 4GLTE signal with AT&T. For civilians staying here… bring any drinks, food, convenience items with you because the BOQ around the corner cannot sell to non-military personnel.

Poor managerial staff and rude, unhelpful front desk staff. Housekeeping comes at 8 am so be prepared NOT to sleep in on vacation. The rooms are fine. Kitchenette is decent. Hair was all over the bedding upon arrival. GROSS. They moved our room around not once, not twice but THREE times. HOWINCONVENIENTFOR A FAMILYWITH A SMALLCHILDAND A TONOFBAGGAGE! The manager was, to put it frankly, a stiff bitch. She was rude and condescending and did not make any suggestions to assist in making our tumultuous stay any better. Also good luck getting in touch with the front desk via telephone. They do not answer! And that is even if you will get cell service in your room! Then you Are forced to use the room phone… But you can’t just dial 0 like any other room… You must dial 9−1-area code and then number… But waiiiiit then you are charged for LONG distance! Wonderful! Skip this place if you don’t want a hassle. I sure wish I would have booked elsewhere.

It’s dirty. No air-con. Room given to us need to completely be overhaul. This should not be rented anymore. Do not meet standards…

One of the best Q’s around. 80 bucks/night for two bedroom, three bed apartment. Full kitchen, couple of big flatscreens. First-class. Folks are friendly. Everything looks new. You have to call for this, the accommodation type doesn’t seem to come up on the website. Nice place!!!

Even though it’s a hassle to get on base, staying at the Navy Gateway Inn & Suites makes it all worth it. The staff at the lobby is always accommodating! They are always helping my family get the rooms that we, mainly my mother, request. We ask for multiple towels and room changes; the staff help us quickly and efficiently. They have so much hospitality. My family & I have tried three different types of rooms during our multiple stays. The first room my brother got us was the room that had one full bed, a cushioned chair, closet, mini refrigerator, television, and a bathroom. It was located to the right of the lobby building. This room was converted from old barracks. It was not updated, but for the cheap price he paid, it was adequate. There was no air conditioning in this building, but we didn’t need it even though it was in July. We opened the window and the ocean breeze would come right through keeping us cool our entire stay. Three people stayed in this room for three nights. The second room was slightly more expensive. This time four people stayed. My parents, brother and I could fit in this room. This was located right behind the lobby building. There was a full refrigerator, full kitchen with a stove, microwave, sink, utensils, dishware, dishwasher, a queen sized bed, a pull out bed, a closet with so much storage space, television, air condition, and a bathroom. This room was so nice! During this stay, my mom was debating if we should get the suite. The front desk helped us see the suite. They gave us a map and asked housekeeping to let us in to view the room. We got to the area, down Goodspeed, the employee greeted us, and her being Filipino, she and my mom got along instantaneously. The room was huge! It was converted from an apartment building to the Midway Suites. It was too big for the four of us to stay on a short Mother’s Day weekend. We declined changing our rooms and the staff didn’t mind that we did that. The Midway Suites we got for this Thanksgiving weekend! My mom got two rooms and it fit eleven people in our family! These rooms included: two bed rooms, one with two twins and one with a queen sized bed, full kitchen, balcony and/or patio, washer and dryer, air condition, two televisions, a huge bathroom and a living room. It really felt like we made it our home even though we were there for three nights and four days. My brother made his first turkey here! My grandma and mom made friends with the housekeeping once again, so they helped us get whatever we needed! Sad to say that that may be our last time staying here because my brother is transferring to another base. But I’d like to express my full gratitude to Navy Gateway Inn & Suites for their wonderful staff and exceptional rooms!

Very nice and I’ve always had good luck with availability. There are numerous types(and rates) on rooms so ask what is available to suit your needs. I have stayed in the regular private room which is like any Q you have stayed at and also at the«a suite» and it was really nice with granite counters, a full kitchen, huge tv, etc.
