I stopped in yesterday for a beer. It has literally been 30 years since I have walked through their doors. This bar has had a complete make-over and is really quite nice inside. My visit was in the early afternoon, so I can’t speak to the normal crowds that frequent the evening hours. A nice tribute to previous owners, there is a little history of the place over to one corner of the building. Streamline got its name from the Mueller Brass Company factories across the street, where they produce the Streamline brand of copper tube and fittings.

As mentioned, this classic blue collar bar, named for the chief product of Mueller Brass(located right across the street), was around for more than 50 years when it was sold in 2010 and renamed«Tailgators» while the classic Art Deco backbar and some of the old blue collar bar ambience remains, the clientele is decidedly different, and varies greatly from night to day now. One of coolest items lost was the classic neon sign, which again mimicked the product line of Mueller’s, where a good portion of it’s «shift work» clientele came from. RIP Streamline, we’ll miss us!
