This pizza is great. The garlic knots are amazing. Cheap also. Family of six, $ 12 pizza, then leave a nice five dollar tip, for the great service. We drive 30 minutes out to come here. Love this pizza.

Great local pizza joint. Friendly staff. Nice big pizzas at a reasonable place. My go to place for a slice, or a pie if we have company.

The pizza is good, although a little pricey. Their meat lovers slice is great! Their wings are ok and their sandwiches are ok. DON’T ever order a calzone from them! They make their calzones ahead of time instead of fresh when ordered, so you can be given a calzone that has sat there for a day or two. I ordered a ham and cheese calzone and instead of making it then and there I saw one of the guys grab a calzone, cut it open and begin to stuff ham into it. I asked him what he was doing and the counter girl said that that’s what they do when a customer orders a cheese calzone with any other item in it. They grab one that’s been sitting on the shelf, open it and stuff it. I told her I would prefer a fresh made one and she answered that they have to use what’s there first. I told her to cancel my order and I walked out. The 2 stars are for their pizza which is decent. If you order a pie, it’s best to tell them not to slice it, that you will do it yourself. They allow the bubble heads that work the counter to slice the pies and you wind up with an 8 slice pie that one slice is 10 inches wide, the other 5 inches wide and others that can be 4 to 9 inches wide.

Got a pie there the other day, too expensive for the area, luke warm, crust was unpleasant and burnt, and the sauce was tangy and metallic tasting.

It’s game night. The Ohio State Buckeyes are taking on the mighty PAC12 and the Oregon Ducks in the first ever College Football Playoff Game for the National Championship. What is going to make this night better? A night with family and a steak and cheese from Port Jervis Brick Oven Pizza. However tonight turned out to be a huge letdown and I am not talking about the fact that the Ducks are trailing going into the half. After dinner arrived, my cousin unwrapped her steak and cheese sub and tried to take a big bite. Unfortunately she didnt find soft, creamy cheese melted over succulent shaved beef like you would expect to find in any steak and cheese sandwich, what she found was a 4″ piece of stainless steel from a kitchen scrubber. Fully expecting the restaurant to do the right thing, I told her to call the manager and explain what was in her sandwich. When she got him on the phone, he was rude, argumentative and over bearing. At first he tried claiming that they get their beef from a vendor and it was their mistake, not his.(Really, you get your beef from a vendor? What restaurant doesnt?) Then he kept talking over her as she was talking. He kept repeating«I dont know what you want me to do».(Again really? You dont know what to do? A customer found a piece of 4″ long stainless steel in their food from your restaurant.) Finally he offered to make her another sandwich but refused to issue a refund. HINT: Pay Attention HERE Port Jervis Brick Oven Pizza, I am going to tell you what you should have done. First words out of your mouth should have been«I am sorry, was anyone hurt?» Then you should have offered to refund the check, followed by offering to make something else. This is restaurant 101, its so simple they dont even teach you this in culinary school. Personally, I, nor anyone I know, certainly not my cousin and family will ever be ordering from Port Jervis Brick Oven Pizza again. They not only showed poor food handling practices, poor sanitation and poor management, but an overall poor guest experience.

I like they’re pizza, it’s good. However, recently, whenever my family has gone there or tried to order for take away, it’s been a bad experience. Here are two experiences that stick out, the most recent one first. We had called them up to order a pizza and had decided on one of the family value meals. It was supposed to come with a large pie, mozzarella sticks, garlic bread, salad, and a 2 liter bottle of soda. I went to go pick it up and everything seemed fine when I got it, as it was all packaged up, so I drove home. My mother opened it and was disappointed. They had forgotten our mozzarella sticks and when we called, didn’t seem to know anything about it. We had paid for those and so it was disappointing. On another visit, we had been coming home from something and so had stopped in for some dinner. There were maybe 2 other people dining in. We went and sat down at a table and proceeded to wait 30 minutes for them to take our drink order. They weren’t that busy. We waited for 30 minutes. We got so fed up with it that we finally left. It was just sad. They really need to figure out customer service because every time I’ve been in there, it’s been terrible. The only reason I’m giving 2 stars on this is because their pizza is quite good and they have the best meatball parm I’m ever had. It’s a shame that their customer service is so terrible, otherwise I’d be there more often.

Came in for lunch when I was swung to another office for the day. As most of my reviews go, I don’t rate solely on food but customer service as well. Food was 4 stars. I had a chicken roll and garlic knots with a fountain soda. The food was standard NY style pizza, I did however enjoy their red sauce. I liked that the knots were dense but not hard, they had the perfect amount of garlic too. The service was terrible. The door was coming unhinged but they guy behind the counter said«We don’t have to fix it until the snow comes» ummmm, ok. The guys behind the counter were not pleasant and made fun of almost customer as they left. Not impressed.

Stopped in tonight for the first time and was deliciously surprised! I had a veggie slice and friend had buffalo chicken slice, just like the previous post, thin but sturdy crust, fresh veggies and NOT greasy! Very yummy can’t wait to go back

8÷26÷2013 Lunchtime on the road while traveling is hit or miss. We were actually headed to a different restaurant when we saw this place. We are glad we did. Order from the counter or order after seating yourself. We ordered some pizza slices. Damned good pizza. After ordering, they take the pizza slices and give them a bit of reheating in the brick ovens. These pizzas are not soggy or greasy and hold up well without any sag. The price is right and the service was quite good.

OMG! JUST ordered a pizza at this place. Staying in port jervis for the super spartan and wanted a quick dinner. They said 40 minutes… it took over an hour… arrived cold… tasted like garbage… ate a slice and tossed it. Never again.

in case you didn’t know, three stars means«A-OK». I am A-OK with this place, and would probably visit again, unless I find a better pizza joint in port jervis(how likely that is, I do not yet know). now, for the deets: the waitresses were very sweet and attentive; i insisted on tipping an extra dollar. the slice of buffalo pizza my honey and I shared was very delicious. we also split the eggplant parm — and that was TASTY!(i am partial to eggplant parm, so this part may be biased). the pasta was cooked perfectly, and the tomato sauce had flavor. the salad, while fresh, was a little lacking in the toppings. and, i must say that i have never seen a color quite like the one of the vinegar in our oil+vinegar salad dressing — fuchsia! still, i ate it(all of it) and it was good. garlic bread — yummy. steady stream of take-away orders and more people eating in than I would expect for a tuesday evening. plenty of slice options and stromboli and calzones at the counter for your choosing. the place was clean, well lit — and, I liked the décor — red walls, if i remember correctly, and lots of mirrors. a good option if you’re looking to try something new.

This place is so over hyped it’s not even funny. They claim to make pizza just like you would get in NYC. Well being originally from NYC I was excited to taste what they had to offer. OMG the pizza was so terrible and overpriced. The service is so horrible that after being treated so rudely by some blonde bimbo at the cash register that I stopped going there. I actually called and spoke to the owner about how I was treated and to his credit he apologized. That’s why I gave 1 extra star to this review.

I’m giving this place 4 stars for value! My wife,(adult) daughter and I were passing through town and decided to try this place — I’m glad we did! The menu offers several«family meals» and we had the one which offered a salad, baked ziti, a large pizza and a two liter bottle of soda for only $ 18.00. We are all pretty big eaters, but would have needed a fourth adult to finish all the food that came with this meal. The salad was pretty basic, but fine; the ziti was good; and the pizza was very good. I would definitely recommend this place to others, particularly the value meals.

This is pretty standard pizza — we came in on a pretty snowy Wednesday night, and were the only dine in customers in the place, but there was a decent stream of delivery and walk in traffic while we were there — hot pizza probably sounded good on a cold night. The slices available for sale were looking a little old and congealed, so we opted for a medium pie with pepperoni and green peppers. It was fine — nothing to write home about, but nothing really wrong with it. The medium was plenty for two people. I don’t know if I’ll be back, as we’re still feeling our way around the area for dinner spots. Honestly, Joey’s in Milford is closer to my hotel and probably better, to my taste.

They have the best pizza in Port Jervis. It’s nicer now as they have the brick oven. I used to eat & get take out but — since my 2 heart attacks I have to be careful what I can eat. My kids still eat there and get take outs.
