Port Ludlow Rv Park

My husband and I spent our 23^rd wedding anniversary here and it was wonderful. This park is quiet, clean and the Manager even brought us free firewood. Very nice staff and store was within walking distance.
We stayed here with our Chihuahua fur child.
We asked for a quiet space and got a perfect site which was large, quiet and surrounded by trees. Most spots are large and have full hookups.

Quiet and relaxing here. Large, private sites with full hookups. Bathrooms are very clean & water is hot. No screaming kids or trashy loud people. Actually slept until 8:00 due to the blissful silence. Hiking trail to falls at rear of park. Loved it!

The manager of this park is obnoxiously rude and confrontational which is a shame because this is a beautiful park and she may be what keeps people from coming back.

We were on the hunt for giant pink slugs for research purposes in a murky, muddy bay just through the Hood Canal Bridge driving a janky State of Washington pickup truck with a barnacle covered skiff in tow. All of the local State Parks were booked up for the weekend so we took a chance and asked this RV park if they minded if we just camped there in a tent. I asked if she wanted a credit card number for the reservation and she said, «Listen honey, I don’t take credit card information over the phone, I don’t expect you to be happy about that and I sure don’t feel comfortable doin’ it myself». I knew I’d like these people:) Peninsula folks have a certain awesome old-​schoolness about them that you don’t find most places these days.
When our search failed we decided to camp another night on the Olympic Peninsula before returning to the Lab up in the San Juans. Port Ludlow RV Park was just up the road from our dive site. We returned, dejected and tired, asking if the site from the night before was still open. The owner takes a look at our truck and says, «You guys are working for the state? She overcharged you last night. Get over there and have some fun! It’s on me tonight! I used to work for the state, it SUCKS.»
We went on our way and camped a second night for free:) The people that own and work at this RV park are amazingly generous and friendly. The bathrooms are clean, the camp sites are surrounded by trees and the whole place is generally quiet and just lovely.
I’ll be back next time I need to dive in the area!
