Genovese’s Italian Cafe

My wife and I make a point of dining at Genovese’s each visit to the Daytona area. We almost always order a large cheese, sausage mushroom and onion pizza, sometime the garlic bread and always a spinach salad. The pizza is consistently good, nice crispy thin crust and generous toppings with a good quality cheese. Their sauce is flavorful, not too much, not too little. The bottom line, a great pizza. You can’t go wrong with the garlic bread with mozerella appetizer. Crispy outside, chewy inside with a nice subtle garlic flavor and generous cheese. As for the spinach salad, it includes bacon, tomato, mushroom and onion with your choice of dressing. I’m pretty sure their dressings are homemade. My wife doesn’t like mushrooms and onions and the restaurants is more than willing to put the onions and mushrooms in separate containers, all you need to do is ask. Very accommodating. In a nutshell you can’t go wrong with their pizza! Look forward to it each and every visit to Daytona. Dining in staff has always been very attentive and carry out is always a reasonable wait.

Very nice service and the food was good as well I would recommend it very much. We had pepperoni pizza and the garlic bread sauce tasted fresh and the bread was not super hard.

I had ordered and eaten here several times. Their food is great, but I did have some concern with the pizza’s I ordered, particularly the last two. I had gotten sick from the last pizza and I waited over 50 min to get the pizza only to see it burnt. I would continue to come here, but because I got sick I am considering not coming back again. Management should check for food safety standard before more others get sick.

Stayed at the Daytona Beach Shore area and visited this restaurant. Nice family friendly casual eatery with attentive service with many Italian food options. Decided on getting a 16 inch pie ½ white clams and ½ café combo as recommended by the waitress. The pizza was fantastic. It was loaded with toppings and the crust was good. You also can’t beat the amazing prices either. I have eaten great pizzas in New York and Genovese is fantastic. The table next to ours ordered the Sicillian and it was huge. Anyway, I would totally recommend this place if you are in the mood for Italian food.

Service was slow once you get past that it’s up hill. Had the soup «Italian wedding» was good but not piping hot. The eggplant rollitini was good the tomatoe suace was great that covered the rolled breaded eggplant. The cheese filling was light and tasty. Had two pies one cheese and one with suasage and fresh mushrooms. Very good pizza!

Not a fan at all. Started with the wedding soup which tasted like Campbell’s canned soup. Then had the Veal cutlet parmigiana which was a soggy mess, sauce tasted like it was Ragu. If I wanted canned food I would have gone to the supermarket. Service was only bright spot, they were polite and attentive.

I came here with rather high expectations, I’ve glanced over the reviews over time and it was on my list of somewhere to try but not near the top by any means to be honest We arrived to find the tiny parking lot mostly filled, but as luck would have it we found two spots side by side and were literally the last two spaces available. We walked in and found the place to be about one third filled so getting a table wasn’t an issue we were seated immediately and our server arrived moments later. We both ordered iced tea being we just left cocktail hour at another locations. We decided to order cheesy garlic bread and clams di zuppa for appetizers then continued to look over the menu trying to decide whether it was going to be pizza or pasta.
The garlic bread arrived warm, the texture was perfect, crispy on the outer edges and tender with a slight chewiness, seasoned and cover with a very nice mozzarella, I was thinkIng of the broth that would arrive shortly filled with tender clams and how this wonderful bread pickup the flavors of the broth. To our surprise the clams arrived buried in marinara (red sauce) I think we both showed our disappointment at the same time, I’m no Italian but we certainly was hoping by the description this was going to be a thin flavorful broth we have enjoyed at other locations many times. Somewhat disappointed but we should have asked, the clams were on the small side and most had already vacated their shell, but all were accounted for before we finished. The red sauce was very flavorful and worked well on the bread. We ordered a 13″ meat lovers pizza minus the bacon, the best thing about this pizza was — the crust, the sauce, the meat and the cheese it was all good, it arrived hot, the pizza was placed on a elevated stand just begging to be served up, I liked the New York style thin crust although it wasn’t as thin as we thought but it was a very solid crust, the perfect amount of sauce, lots of topping and a high quality cheese.
The restaurant was clean, the staff was extremely friendly and provided exceptional service, we looked at some of the pasta dishes at the neighboring tables, they looked really good and something we’ll try on our next visit here. We definitely will return…

Hands down the best Italian restaurant I’ve ever been to. Great taste, big portions, good service, good price. You have to check this place out.

I came here on spring break because of the positive ratings, Italian, and big portion sizes. I never realized just how massive the portion sizes actually are. I ordered the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and it was amazing, plus I have leftovers for definitely two more meals. I also had the Italian wedding soup as an appetizer and it was delicious.
My friend ordered the Stromboli and he couldn’t stop talking about how amazing it was. The waiter told us it is what they are most known for. While I didn’t get his, it looked absolutely divine.
My other friend got the tiramisu and she ate it extremely quickly because it was delicious.
While the place seems a little pricy, in reality, the portion sizes are definitely enough for two people for at least all pasta and Strombolis. I highly recommend this place, especially if you want leftovers

The food is delicious. Everything is fresh. I have to say eating here leaves a lasting impression. The eggplant is the best I’ve ever had. Never had a bad meal here. Enjoy you will come back.

Call to order delivery, get told to call the other location. Call them straight away but can’t get through. Try a few more times over half an hour assuming they’re busy so call back the first location to check I have the correct number…
Person on the other end of the line seemed surprised that I would call them as they’re closed… Thanks that was really helpful o_​O

Great service, delivery in 30 minutes, and the pizza was steaming hot! We got a cheese pizza and a café combo minus the green pepper. Fresh ingredients and great crust! A go to pizza joint for Daytona Shores!

If you want a GREAT pizza, this is the place to order from!!! I have lived in the area for over 30 years and NO ONE puts out the quality and customer service like this restaurant. If I had only one choice of Italian food to order from, there is not even a close second to Genovese’s. Thanks again for a great dinner!

Haven’t even gotten my pizza yet but I’m already totally impressed by the service. Called in an order, they were clearly busy considering I could hear everything going on in the background. The quality of service was not compromised, however! They didn’t even get sassy when I asked for my pizza to be cut into squares… Which I encounter a lot being a Chicagoan in Florida. I’m not even worried about the pizza. I give this place 5 stars based on service alone. KEEP IT UP GUYS…(20 minutes later the delivery is super quick and the pizza is) bam!

Genovese’s is a FL version of a Italian Restaurant in Maryland called the «Italian Inn». While visiting DC our hotel was right next door and we never had such great Italian food. We live in the Port Orange area and after DC trip we found a great copy. At Genovese’s we have had the pizza mushroom & pepperoni, Shrimp Scampi and my husband’s favorite their Lasagna. The pepperoni is fresh. When I get the Shrimp Scampi the Shrimp are huge and you get a huge «platter» plus you get salad and bread. The lasagna is 4 – 5 «thick and tastes awesome. The service is very good. Highly recommend this Italian Gem.

My second time eating here in two years and that makes two years of yummy.
Delicious hot bread, plenty of sliced garlic in the pasta (broc, garlic, oil, wine) plenty of broccoli too!
Good service, quick with beverages and food, all around a great little find.

This pizza is the best New York style pizza near Daytona Beach. The crust is thin, but a bit thicker than it looks. It is crunchy and pretty much perfect. The cheese is a bit chewey and oily, though. It has great flavor, and the sauce is flavorful and a perfect blend of spices. The pizza we got was cheese and pepperoni, and eating it was an overall great experience.

Seriously the best pizza I’ve ever had in my life. Everyone in my family agreed! According to nice staff members, everything is imported from New York. The all meat pizza is dynamite, even the cheese pizza is delicious. The garlic bread is equally amazing. Prices are very reasonable! This is a must try for anyone wanting to finally experience the best pizza of their lives!

Great location in Daytona for authentic Italian food.
Great service and very attentive to your needs. Like all Italian places expect to pay roughly $ 15 per person. Portions are large, you’re sure to have left overs
