The place is very unassuming but a great surprise… the flavor are delicately interwoven into a wonderful meal. I have had meals all over the world and this was right up there with the best. A must try for Daytona!

This is an ideal spot for date nights and the food was excellent overall. I opted for risotto for my seafood cioppino but I was a tad disappointed that the risotto(one of the options to go with the dish) was served on the side. It was probably made using cheese, butter, and cream. Don’t get me wrong — both the risotto(every individual grain was plump and unbroken) and the ciopinno(fish, mussel, clam, squid stew in a tomatoey base) were good in their own ways. I especially liked the fish that had this subtle smokiness in it. We also had the chicken & shrimp jambalaya. Perfectly cooked chicken thigh meat and shrimps. It didn’t manage to leave a deep impression but it was good.

While in the area for the Rolex race, we sought the help of trip advisor for a dinner spot selection. Peppercorns is in the corner of a little strip shopping center a mile South of a major intersection. We called ahead and they had a table waiting for us within 20 minutes. You walk into a nice quaint bar then one room with about 15 tables. The place was packed. Our dinner orders including Panko crusted ahi tuna, seafood creole, shrimp jambalaya, and multiple dessert. The tuna and the key lime tart were hands down some of the best I’ve ever tasted! Dana is a great host, owner and Tara was a fantastic server! Thank you for making our time enjoyable.

Unbelievable food! Walking in we felt nervous about or decision. That only lasted until the first taste! The food was gourmet quality with a low price. We will be back for more.

I don’t want to leave! You can’t go wrong with anything that you order. The soup of the day was sausage, fennel, potato in a cold Florida day was fantastic and the French onion soup was exceptional. This chef and crew knows what they’re doing. The shrimp and grits are award winning and my husband had the jambalaya both were off the charts! And for two people who rarely do desserts, we tried the key lime tart and our eyes rolled back into our heads! Can’t wait to come back!

We had dinner on Friday, 15 January 2016, with a group of 7 people. Service was on the ball, wine selection was varied, wines were excellent and everyone enjoyed their meals at very reasonable prices.

One of the best meals I could ever have. I’m so glad I went in for dinner last night. Had the rack of lamb. It was cooked to perfection. The owner is awesome. The wine list is amazing, I can’t wait to go again. Please if you a local give this place a try.

Incredible food at very reasonable prices. I’ve had the pleasure of dining there twice and both times the food and service has been beyond excellent. This restaurant is a hidden jewel with cuisine that rivals the finest upscale restaurants in a very casual, relaxed setting. Try it, you won’t be disappointed!

Everything was perfect. Crisp salad on cold plate. Tender Mahi Mahi with artistic risotto. Don’t miss this place! Great service with a perfect balance of professionalism and friendly.

We’ve eaten here for lunch and now dinner. Great tastes and Flavors are used in dishes at this quaint place hidden inside of a strip mall in old port orange. Pork chop dinner very tasty. Ahi tuna Flavors are on plate not meat so mix it all to assure most buds. Sprigs of oregano and spices as décor good to eat too. Just don’t eat the wax lemons In candle on table LOL. Enjoy. Will be back3rd time! We’d give 4.5 stars but can’t on this app. For around here as our choices of great restaurants increase its going to be difficult to rate in future. Plus we’ve eaten around the world so even more difficult.

They really do know good New Orleans food. Location may be limiting their crowd. Go see.

I had been wanting to try this place for some time now but was hesitant. And even more so husband. Location is what threw us off. Well, don’t miss this little gem just because of the location. My husband finally gave in… and I actually think(no, I know) he will take me here again. When you walk in, there is a sense of relief… Ok this is not your average«café». Staff friendly willing and able to make this meal one you will remember. We ordered an appetizer… the Calamari which was perfection. 3 dipping options for your palate. It went beautifully with our wine. Main course Ciopinno for him and Linguini with white wine clam sauce for me. The Ciopinni was recommended by a friend… and obviously one with good taste :-) We are both big eaters… plates were not huge but we did not leave hungry. We shared a delicious key lime tart. Do yourself a favor… Experience Peppercorns!

Peppercorns has become one of my favorite haunts for lunch and dinner. Do not be put off by either the location or the size of this hidden jewel. It is a top notch chef owned and operated restaurant that produces quality meals and great daily specials every day. They also run periodic theme oriented all-inclusive dinners which include samplings of several wines paired specifically to that dinner. It’s a good idea to reserve a table for these events because they’re pretty popular. I won’t bore you with a list of my favorites here because everything I’ve ordered here has been great. Suffice it to say that the menu contains a broad and eclectic array of many dishes and sides that will surely tweak the taste buds of most, if not all diners. The wait staff is fast friendly and very attentive from the time you walk through the door until you leave. It creates a genuine customer-friendly atmosphere and that’s one of the reasons I keep coming back. My experience with Peppercorns has been a good one every time and I highly recommend the place. Stopped in for a quick lunch and we were pleasantly surprised with great food and friendly service. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is the location. It’s hidden in the corner of a plaza with a post office and locksmith. The caprese blt panini was fabulous!

So tonight we ate dinner at this restaurant, it had been recommended by some people we met while on vacation. I had the beef carpaccio, it was ok, but not great, my husband had the shrimp cocktail, it was very good, the bread with the flavored butter was also good! The waitress did not tell us the specials, she didn’t ask nor did she bring water to the table, we ordered dessert but we’re not asked if we wanted coffee, which was strange and last but not least, she was way to speedy for us, she asked us if we wanted the check while I still had a ½ glass of wine, she just needs some additional training. However as far as the main courses I had the shrimp and grits, it was really good, it would have been perfect if the shrimp wasn’t over cooked! My husband had the pork chop, it too was really good, but a little stupid thing, the Brussels sprouts on the side were awful, they needed to be maybe roasted or something, they weren’t even cooked! The side salad was ok if your’re a fan of mixed greens! Finally, the desserts were great! We are going back as overall we enjoyed our dinners, I just think that the restaurant needs a few tweaks and it will be great!

This restaurant is a diamond in the rough. Doesn’t seem like a traditional five star restaurant when you pull up put I can guarantee that upon leaving your mind will be blown. Ordered the pork chops but also tried tastings of the shrimp and grits and jambalaya. The cheesecake and chocolate cake did not disappoint either. Wish I had more than five stars to give.

Don’t let the location or smallish size fool you. This little gem is big on everything else! The menu is varied and moderately priced with nightly specials that are interesting and tempting. There is not a big dinning area, go early or make a reservation so you are not disappointed. Dinners are excellently prepared and presented. Nice selection of beer and wine to enhance your dining experience. We can’t wait to return!

Wow! My parents took us to the peppercorn café since they were so impressed with a meal they had there a few days before. Five of us had five different entrées and they were all excellent. Seafood, lamb and steak were cooked perfectly. The crabcake did not have a lot of filler. The service was excellent and friendly. Desserts were delicious. I couldn’t recommend it more!

I hesitate to review Peppercorns only because I fear if everyone knew how good it is, I will never be able to get a seat! Tucked away in the corner of a non-discrimination strip mall, Peppercorns is delightfully decorated with a cheffie theme. The food is nothing short of amazing. Service is attentive, but not over bearing. Try it out, but lets keep it a secret.

This place is a gem! Don’t let the location fool you! The food is fresh and fantastic! My friends and I have been several times and have never been disappointed! They have great brunch options. I try something new every time I go and each time it just gets better and better!
