I was told after months of planning a kitchen and also looking at other vendors that Home Depot will not install my kitchen because they don’t FEEL they can meet our expectations. I was told this by the Manger– Fred at the Port Orange store. The same man who had told me months earlier that Customer Satisfaction is #1 and he rather lose an employee than have a customer unhappy. He would not tell me why they won’t install my kitchen other than he FEELS they cannot meet our needs. Smells fishy to me. I am going to the corporate office. All our calls have been routed to Fred and we are not allowed to speak to the Designer who designed a beautiful kitchen with whom we did form a great working relationship with as described by Fred. I know Fred is being dishonest and it’s just that the Contractor George who installs for the region does not want to work with us because we have had someone else contracted to do the electrical and plumbing. When I discussed this with Fred– I was told George needs a paycheck too. Apparently Home Depot doesn’t’ want a $ 20000 sale./b/nnvv

If there was an option for negative stars, I would give this Home Depot the worst possible rating. We spent several months designing a kitchen through this Home Depot only to be told that it was too complex for them to complete. They had no problem coming out and taking the $ 100.00 evaluation fee. They also had endless excuses for why they couldn’t complete the job that they designed. I have a feeling the contractor«George» was upset that we had talked Home Depot down on some of his fees. We were specifically told by Fred the manager, that the contractor needed to make a paycheck to. So now suddenly we can not have the kitchen we designed, and Fred continues to be dishonest with us. We will be pursuing this through corporate to get our money back, and hopefully let Home Depot see how inadequate Fred and George are.

Found the customer service very good and very helpful. I usually shop at the one in NSB but stop in here because they are all created equal right — wrong all Home Depots don’t stock the same items, no problem lesson learned so I headed back to my hometown location and found everything I needed. I do appreciate the associate making the effort and was wished a Happy Holiday from two employees as I exited the store empty handed I will be back :)

This store used to have terrible customer service. So I don’t know what changed, but I’ve found myself choosing this store more and more over the local Lowe’s over the past year or so because the attention to customer service seems to be the focus now. Every time I walk in the store(no matter the entrance I choose) I am almost immediately greeted by an associate who then asks what brings me in today. The department associates are just as helpful. This store has done a complete turn around to what it was like a few years ago. Keep it up & I’ll keep spending my money here.
