When my generator wouldn’t start, I called Pen Feed to be sure they had a new spark plug, air filter and fuel filter for my engine. The mechanic assured me they had all the parts needed, but when I arrived they had no air filter and gave me the wrong plug. The entire time the mechanic, Jim, argued that I needed a carburetor clean up even though he had never seen the engine and I told him I use only no ethanol gas and run the engine dry even for short term storage. Of course, with the wrong plug the engine would not start until I got the recommended one from Home Depot. Clearly the mechanic was more interested in selling unnecessary carburetor work than the correct tune up parts. And possibly I was given the wrong plug to bring me back in for the fix? Based on this experience, I would never again use or recommend Pen Feed.

I just purchased a new Cub XT2 from this dealer and I was very pleased with their level of knowledge and experience with all small engine light industrial equipment. They answered all my questions with detailed knowledge of the subject(and I’m an engineer so I get a little detailed). I left feeling like I had made the right choice and found sufficient value above the volume box store models. Pen Feed also delivered it for me free of charge. Their delivery was not a third party service, but one of their seasoned mechanics who took me through all the operational and maintenance requirements in great detail to help with my long term investment. The company appears to be a long term family business, and I like to support local business. Will have to rate again when I do my 100 hour maintenance.

Once again, I have to rate Cub Cadet AS A COMPANY the worst possible. We just replaced our pto drive belt for the third time this month and not ten minutes into mowing, the belt is shredded to pieces… whether it is the belt or some sharp edge in the mowing deck, I don’t know and the«authorized repair center» can’t find an issue. Corporate customer service is TOTALLY unavailable on weekends, not even through e-mail. CUBCADET as a company is SHIT, SHIT, SHIT, SHIT, SHIT!!!
