I would have given a big fat zero if I could. My husband and I have had the misfortune of eating here. The service experience is slow, the ladies at the front try to get those in the back to discuss better but that’s the job of the owner or manager on duty. This last experience broke the camels back. We got our food and my husband finds a piece of metal brillo pad in his food. I immediately called and request the owner who got on the phone only to tell me how hard it is to run a business and how she has told them I. The kitchen to be more careful. No… I’m so sorry or My God what was it! She almost sounded like she was some how done wrong. Mind you we had just called earlier because my husband’s food when she ordered shrimp egg foo young dinner they forgot to put the rice in there so they were already going to issue us a credit for that and now I have to call about a piece of their kitchen in my food. what kind of place is this? I’m so disgusted… I’ll never go back there again and I would challenge everyone to be careful if you plan on eating there look at your food carefully God only knows what would be in it.

Service was very sweet and helpful but the food is not the greatest and not the most fresh. I ordered a bowl of beef phở and asked for a plate of basil and the leaves were rotted and black. Either the chefs in the back don’t care about health or customer service but they really need to get their act together if they still want to work in a hospitality business. I don’t want to be the one to call the Health services on them but the way they are serving their meals and maintaining them is very poor.

When this place opened it was amazing, tonight’s experience was horrid. My husband and I walked in expecting to dine in. There were 2 open tables that were dirty, another that was clean, and other being used by a small child to shell peas. We stood there waiting to be seated for 15 to 20 minutes without even a hello. The owner ran around frantic and yelling, the server could not be bothered to clean a table. We walked out and went across the street for a fine Chinese meal. Will never go back.

Horrible! Just flat out horrible and gross! My first time trying this place out and I was sooooo disappointed. Big portions, but tasted like crap.

I’ve ordered from this place several times in the past year. We have always been surprised with how affordable the meals are. Tonight I was craving pad Thai and my partner wanted Chinese. Delivery was busy for the next hour so we went and picked it up. When I opened up my box of pad Thai I was greeted with the faint smell of burnt food, the sort of bitter stink that tells you when you’ve long forgotten a bagel in the toaster oven. I was hoping it wouldn’t taste the way it smelled but I was unfortunately wrong. I stirred the noodles up and found plenty of charred black crud in the takeaway box. I was very, very disappointed with my meal tonight. I don’t know if I’ll be ordering from the jade bowl again.

Good family restaurant. Big portions, good food. They stayed open 45 mins after close just to serve us. I have a new Chinese place

I have lived in the darwin area for over 25 years and there has only been one Chinese takeout that I liked so I decided to give the new place a try I was very disappointed food was garbage and the service sucked while dining in. the fact they opened a takeout less then half a mile for china town that has been there longer then me I expected some fierce competition, boy was I wrong I would rather eat McDonald’s then this yeah that bad. it was like a game of hide and seek trying to find the shrimp in all that corn starch fried lob save your money and get china town they have always been good I guess I shouldn’t fix something that wasn’t broken!

What a change from when they first opened!!! And not for the better! Have dined in many times over the past months. Excellent food and service. The last month have been ordering takeout for various personal reasons. Last take out order for 3 people was gross and soup spilled out all over car and self. Food quality/​preparation has gone down the tubes. Have not seen the little Asian lady there lately. She seemed to be the one assuring quality of food and service was excellent. Bring her back! Will be going to Sky from now on.

Best Phở, best chinese BBQ, Fresh ingredients with amazing flavors. I’ve been going here since they opened and have never had the need to try another. Never been disappointed when I stray from ordering my normal dishes. They know how to balance flavors like no other in the area. They are the best!

The food is good but I ordered chicken fried rice for pickup but when I got home opened the box to see pork fried rice. Can’t eat that so I called and they said they would deliver the correction ASAP; great!!! Although I wanted the rice to go with the dish. It is now hour 4 since the ASAP delivery and yet still no rice. Chinese food minus the rice in my opinion is not Chinese food. Will keep you posted in the coming weeks as to when the delivery arrives.
