I love this place. Food is always satisfying. And the staff is so accommodating. The owners are always super nice to children and offer freebies if parents approve. Food selection for lunch and dinner is typical fare but very good. I haven’t tried any sushi except California roll and this was very fresh and tasty and filling. Try shrimp and lobster sauce and orange chicken All white meat soooo good

I actually really like the food here and always have, just took a star off because service wasn’t great last time.

If I could give them no stars, that’s what I would do. Bad lo mein, bad chow fun, bad Genral Tsao’s chicken. The only edible thing we got is the fried dumplings. Yuck.

The food here is decent– nothing special, but Possibly better than other Chinese restaurants in town which unfortunately does NOT say much. What particularly pissed me off is this– I called and placed an order for delivery. Then I called back literally 5 minutes later to change one item on my order and the phone guy was very rude. He said he couldn’t make any changes because the food was already packed up and on the way. I find that extremely hard to believe, not to mention I would be a little concerned about the quality of my food if it was cooked and prepared in a matter of a few minutes. In addition to being unreasonable, the food is very expensive. 32 dollars for a chicken and broccoli dish with Fried rice? Find a place outside of town if you want some good Chinese food!

We were hungry and ready to eat! Hot n sour soup was good, but what transpired after was not. Too much salt in everything! Well prepared meal that was inedible. Trying to discuss with the manager proved fruitless. He was rude. There’s an obvious following as others were cordially greeted upon entering. Never again.

Been going here over few months and food is so so. I went last weekend and got chicken and brocolli take out along with other stuff for the family spent $ 52. We go to eat and I open the container and there is a dirty rolled up napkin in my food that looked like it was used to blow a nose. I called manager the said we will make a new one I wouldn’t ever eat there again hot my money back for the chicken and brocolli ended up not eating because I was so nauseated from it. He wouldn’t credit rest of the food either. Will not get going back here.

My opinion about this place can be distilled down to «take-out only.» The food is OK – a little on the salty side – but table service is horrendous, even when the place is almost empty. Tonight my group of five was completely ignored from start to finish. No one offered to take our drink order, rice wasn’t brought to the table until near the end of the meal(when I practically had to tackle a waiter to get his attention), no one asked if our meals were OK or if we needed anything else, water glasses were not re-filled, the pot of hot tea was not refilled, and the plates with cold food sat on the table for at least 30 minutes after we had finished eating. Again, we had to flag down a waiter and implore him to do his job. Altogether a thoroughly unsatisfactory experience. Note that most of the 4-star and 5-star reviews of this place were written at least 18 months ago. Did management change recently or just stop caring? I don’t know, but this place absolutely, positively is not worth 4 or 5 stars.

I like the place. Try to find the menu online. I dare you. Go ahead, I’ll wait. Didn’t find it, did you? I never can. They have like 5 web sites. This is the one with the menu: Good basis American-chinese food and good American-sushi. If you are looking for authentic, go to Mott Street, brother. But this is my local go-to for the kids. They like it and I can grab a tekka roll or two. I only have ever had it delivered in the 10 years I’ve been ordering from them. I hear the restaurant is pretty. Never been. But I think I put their kids through school with all the food I’ve ordered. I’d give it 4 stars, but it’s really not fabulous. it’s just always good. And that’s good. You’ve had worse Chinese. I guarantee.

A friend of our daughter recommended this restaurant and I have absolutely no idea how or why she did or how they have such a high rating. We took out a variety of Chinese style food from here recently and there was not one dish out of 7 that had any taste whatsoever. Although everything was fresh, it was all bland and tasteless and totally below average. We had to add soy sauce and duck sauce to everything we ordered and most of the food was left over. We had their popular Port Washington Fried Rice because it was in so many reviews but it was a tiny step above eating plain white rice — no flavor whatsoever! The chicken and broccoli was only a «fair» but the rest of the meal was«poor» and a total waste of money and wound up in the garbage. Maybe their other Asian dishes are better and we should have ordered dishes that were not on the Chinese menu but that was what we all wanted. Unfortunately, we will never be going back to try those.

I can’t believe those reviews. The place is almost always empty. One night we decided to try it. Two tables had people(this is a huge restaurant). We ordered a few things(Moo Shu Pork) and dumplings. THe food was way below average.

I was visiting some friends in Long Island, all of whom agreed I had to try this Chinese place. It had a good atmosphere and great service. The host, Simon, was very hospitable and easy to talk to. Whenever the whole menu looks good, I always ask for a surprise, and was very happy with Simon’s choice of the fish fillet in black bean sauce. I will definitely return soon.

I always remain leery when first ordering from a new Chinese take out place. When I first ordered from Green Leaf I played it safe and went with their General Tso’s Chicken, saving the lobster sauce and shrimp lo mein for a post-approval-order. I was pleasantly surprised with their General Tso’s, for it surpassed my expectations with an abundant portion, tender meat, and exploding flavor. It’s safe to say I’ll be ordering from here again, and next time will be placing a more adventurous order.

Aside from the typical take out stuff, this place also has incredible Thai food, Japanese cuisine(including sushi), and some vegetarian items. For the most part, the menu is pretty typical of your standard take out, aside from some unique things such as the Hot Lover. However, it’s the quality of the ingredients and the popping flavor that sets this place apart from the rest A relaxing atmosphere and friendly staff are the icing on the cake. Best Chinese food I’ve ever had. Highly recommend to anyone and everyone!

I went there with my wife tonight just by chance and we couldn’t be more pleased with the place. Beautiful décor that isn’t over the top or cheesy. It was quiet and peaceful. The food is authentic asian food made like they would for their own family. The service was excellent. The host even placed the cloth napkins on our laps! The timing of the courses couldn’t have been better. The price was very, very good for the high quality that we received. I can’t think of anything negative about our experience there. We will certainly be returning!

Possibly because I came here during an off peak hour(2pm for lunch), the service was slow even though I was the only patron in the restaurant. The food itself was typical American Chinese food. Had ordered beef strips with string beans, which was drenched in sauce. Although the tangy sauce was delicious, it was definitely sensory overload. What was fortunate was that the shrimp/scallop/veggies combo that was also ordered lacked much sauce. The restaurant itself was very clean, definitely had a lot of large tables and was very open, making it ideal for large groups, but probably not a meal for two.

I’ve been coming here for years! LOVE this place! Staff is friendly & attentive and great food– I see the other reviewers all agree that the«Hot Lover» is awesome! Love a chinese restaurant where you can relax and enjoy the complimentary pot of tea with your meal.

I am from a big family and we love eating at Green Leaf! For the price(which i cannot say about many restaurants in PW) it is a very good value. The food is delicious! The atmosphere is very clean and classy. The service was fantastic, and professional. Unlike some other chinese restaurants in town, where the servers are far less then pleasant. Great food!

Good food at reasonable prices in a space able to accomodate large groups. Very family friendly, too. Best spare ribs in town! I’ve been there for lunch on a number of occasions, as well as for dinner, once with a group of eight — which provided us all the opportunity to try many different dishes, and they were all quite good. I’ve also enjoyed takeout. I did find the Orange Flavor Beef to be a bit strange(the cut was not what I was accustomed to; I guess it was just their way), but it was still tasty. What is most telling to me is that Green Leaf is a very large restaurant in a town with a number of Chinese establishments, yet there weren’t many empty seats on the night I was there with my group. That speaks volumes, I think. Friendly and accommodating staff as well.

Good Quality Chinese Food at decent prices. Their pad thai is decent, but am a huge fan of their following 1. Firecracker Shrimp 2. General Tso’s Chicken 3. Hot Lover(Chicken & Beef combo dish) *** my favorite as its a combo Their soups are decent and they have permanent specials as depending on the bill amount, one has a choice among the house specials…
