Starbucks + near a train station + rich neighborhood + self-entitled employees = recipe for disaster!

I’ve been coming to this Starbucks for years and I never had any issues except for today. The staff was completely rude and pretentious when my brother, who has never had Starbucks ever, asked questions. We were also the only ones in there so we took our time looking at the menu and the man at the registrar kept rushing us. Very disappointed.

I came in to an empty store ordered a pike and a scone, got the coffee and waited. More people came in and I got forgotten about as did the guy who ordered after me. Took nearly 10 minutes to get me food. I’m glad I wasn’t in a rush. Now I know why the reviews are so low. Location is right near the train station, but it’s a tiny store, very few seats and a terrible arrangement.

What can I say about Starbucks? It’s a chain that sells coffees and teas, many with precious seasonal names, along with tasty treats and a number of breakfast and lunch-related edibles. There are other chains selling these items, but lacking the requisite pretension and pricing. In case anyone is worried about where Starbucks’ coconut milk comes from, rest easy, because it’s prominently posted at the counter: «Our coconut milk comes from Sumatran coconuts.» Whew! To think that they could have been imported from Sri Lanka, Brazil — or, heaven forbid, the Philippines! Thank goodness for Starbucks. That the company had the decency and social consciousness to put Sumatra on the map, makes me want to proudly stand in line, make my purchase, and then return home to find my app reminding me that if I somehow forgot to leave a cash tip, I have two more hours to add one electronically. Some very pleasant«baristas»(ugh, that term!), mostly of the more mature variety. I don’t expect a conversation — after all, this is a business that needs to move their customers through quickly, especially at this kind of location — but some(I’m looking at you, young bearded one of «I’m from Brooklyn» except-you’re-really-not aspirations) could at least attempt a smile, because, well, an air of haughtiness isn’t the most pleasant thing to encounter at the beginning of one’s day. Or ever.

It’s just your usual Starbucks. Sometimes hectic, with rude impatient customers. I’ve never had a bad experience here when I’m usually in Port one weekend every other month. I do however need to note-Stephen, Tina and Amber are always friendly, and make the experience worth coming back.

Worst and scary customer service experience to see staff almost getting in a fist fight with each other. Friday 9:45 — 10:00am corporate please review the CCTV cashier camera. You will witness four«Baristas» escalating an argument to a serious physical issue. Never see such behavior from staff. Wow pimp.

Best Starbucks I have visited on Long Island. The staff were really nice. One of the younger kids behind the counter seemed a bit rough around the edges, and the lady vigorously sweeping the floor could perhaps keep the broom down(she was kicking up a lot of dust), but it was clean and comfortable and pleasant.

Some of these reviews below are a bit harsh, given my experience. It’s a very small Starbucks, there to serve folks coming and going to the LIRR across the street. I had a caramel machiatto. It was not the best I’ve ever had. Too much milk and not enough coffee. Not sure how that wasn’t done the same way I’ve had it every other place in America. But it was not terrible. The ambiance is nice for what it is. The drink came fast and was pretty decent.

This place should get its act together and get someone in there that know how to make the drinks… awful

I’m not sure what the other reviewers meant, but this Starbucks — albeit a little small — smelled like coffee, not dirty water. I’ve been here multiple times and my drink orders have always been fast and delicious. I’ll definitely come here again.

Apparently the employees at this location are too good to say thank you; it is beneath them. I prefer the coffee at Starbucks but I would rather get mediocre coffee and give my business to the local shop in town where I can get a thank you for my business. Train your employees to say thank you, get new ones, or get out of my town and let a local friendly café in Starbucks!

Disgusting Starbucks. As soon as you walk in it just STINKS like MOLD. I finally gave up entirely on this one after the rude service I recieved the other day. The barista’s just have horrible attitudes for a starbucks and the place stinks. I would prefer bux but i will now have to go local since their attitude and stench are too much to deal with.
