Verona Pizza IV

Love the veggie pizza. Fresh vegetables, thank goodness. Friendly staff and quick delivery.

This is the first time I had pizza from Verona, but last night we ordered a large deep dish and it was fantastic! I’m sorry the previous reviewer had a bad customer service experience, but the gal I spoke to on the phone was extremely friendly and polite, the pie was fantastic and Verona is now my «go to» pizza place!

We’ve all called for pizza delivery & have been put on hold. It happens. HOWEVER, there’s a right way & a lose-​my-​business-​forever way to do it.
I called Verona Pizza in Portage 11÷11÷14 about 6pm to order for delivery. The phone was answered «hold»…not «Verona’s, please hold», not even «Verona’s, hold», just «HOLD!» I hung up and dialed 3 more times hoping for a different result. THEN I remembered that doing the same thing & expecting a different result defines insanity.
I called Bam’s Pizza in Portage. They’re newer, have absolutely DELICIOUS pies, and AMAZING breadsticks. They’re a LITTLE more expensive BUT they answer, «Thanks for calling Bam’s. Pickup or delivery?» They were very busy as well, but they POLITELY asked if I’d hold. Of course I don’t mind holding when I’m made to feel my business matters. Verona, you scoffed at my annoyance with the rude phone «service» I received on your Facebook page. You suggested that Bam’s service was better because they’re new and that’s why they aren’t as busy. No, Verona, Bam’s is always busy. They just know how to be professionals and Bam’s knows how to make people feel appreciated. Verona, not that you care, but you’ve lost my business. And, as you can see, I’m not shy about sharing my opinions.

We love this pizza! The Italian beef is fantastic, the service is great! I haven’t had any bad experiences with this place… so for Verona’s Pizza your #1 in my book… see ya J. J’s
