I’m not a food snob but when you buy a cake because you are having last minutes guest over you expect the person in the bakery to know what’s in the cake
I saw an Oreo cake and said is this chocolate inside? «No, it’s white white Oreos». I buy it. It’s chocolate … Great. Not what I wanted. To make matters worse the frosting literally tasted like shortening. It was like pure grease no flavor.
We threw it in the trash
Today I went to cash a money order at 930. I was told customer service can’t help me until 10. I said there isn’t a manager around? The checker rolled her eyes and said I’ll try to find someone. And she huffed

She ended up finding an equally snarky woman who really didn’t want to help me abs informed me that banks are open at 9. I said I’m sure they are but the money order is from here and I certainly thought I could be helped
I hate this store. I love down the road and it’s handy if we run out of milk but I can’t stand this place at all. Rude people, very little help in the store etc

I went to their bakery to get a baby shower cake ordered/​decorated for my shower.
First off, I have to say that the woman who helped me was extremely helpful and friendly. She took her time with me and was very outgoing.
Well, my husband just went to pick up the cake, and it is NOTHING like what I had discussed with the employee. It’s overcrowded with decorations that I never approved, you can’t make out our sons name, and the other words look like they were written by a child. Extremely disappointed. If the shower wasn’t in 2 hours, I wouldn’t have had him pay for it. It’s ugly and NEVER again will I go to their bakery.

I live right up the street, convenient and I can grab a starbucks while I shop.
They don’t have as much organic produce as I’d like, or a bulk food section but if I need a quick ingredient it’s nice having it so close by.

Definitely the worst albies around. The uscan cashier says they don’t accept twice the value coupons because it doubles a coupon and he’s worried he’ll lose his job if he takes the coupon.
the uscan computers break all the time forcing the cashiers to constantly reboot them. really a big waste of time to go in this place. go to hillsboro or vancouver.

I live a block away and only go here if I have no other choice. Most of the prices in the store seem inexplicably higher than all the other stores in the area (Safeway, Fred Meyer). They do have sales on certain non-​essential items, so if you have a hankering for 2 giant bags of chips and they happen to be on sale when you’re there, you MIGHT get a good deal. Some of our «regularly purchased» grocery items are TWICE to THREE TIMES the price at this store, when compared to all the other stores in the area!
The staff is friendly and professional, the store always seems clean and well-​organized to me, it’s just the inflated prices that make me avoid this place like it has the plague. Its so close to where I live — I HAVE to pass it whenever I drive the extra mile to go buy groceries elsewhere (which I do, often, and without reservation). Clearly, they’re still open somehow, so there must be enough people shopping there at those silly prices.

I find it pretty funny that there are so many negative reviews here — 2 stars? Really? What’s so bad about it? It’s an average grocery store; I’d give them 3.5 stars if I could, but oh well.
I’ve gotta admit, Albie’s isn’t my first choice in grocery stores, even though there’s nothing glaringly horrible about them. I’ve got bargain hunting in my blood, and I usually get my kicks elsewhere. While their regular prices do tend to be above-​average, the key to rocking an Albies trip lies in their sales and your abilities to match up coupons with their sales. Go in with a plan, and you’ll be all set.
While I haven’t purchased seafood at this location, I have purchased other fresh meats — namely mass quantities of chicken — and find it to be very fresh. And it’s not a Whole Foods or New Seasons, so if you’re looking for specialty products or brands, think again. It is, after all, just an Albertson’s. I’ve never noticed the exterior or interior to be dirty (in fact, I think it’s quite nice), it’s usually never busy, I’ve never waited 15 minutes to check out, and I’ve never encountered rude staffers here.
Like I said, ain’t nothing wrong with Albies.

My wife says it best. Albertson’s is just an over-​sized 7-​Eleven.
The product selection is mass-​market, the produce is suspect and the meat is… well, let’s not go there. However, if you need to get run-​of-​the-​mill drinks, chips, canned goods or dairy products for a decent price at most hours of the day, Albertson’s is your place. Especially since there are no convenience stores in the West Union/​Rock Creek/​Bethany area.
There is usually only one check-​out aisle open, so your best bet is to keep your haul to no more than a basket and use the self check-​out. Anything else… best of luck to you.

The outside of the store is filthy, the staff is apathetic on a good day and rude the rest, and their prices are way above everyone else’s on the west side.
As for the selection– if you like slimy, smelly, re-​frozen fish, you’re in luck. However, if you’re looking for something edible other than ice cream (1.5 aisles), pizza (1 aisle), chips and crackers (2 aisles), or High Fuctose Corn Syrup laced drinks (3 aisles), you’re not going to find it here.
This might have been a nice store about ten years ago, but the management from SavOn has absolutely run this place into the ground. If I never set foot in this oversized Kwik-​E-​Mart again, it’ll be too soon.

Grocery stores can be quickly classified by the types of magazines and items positioned at the check out stand. There are the types of stores like Trader Joe’s, Natures, and Wild Oats, where the magazines you would find are all about healthy eating/​cooking, yoga, psychology, and the like – and then there are grocery stores where the zines examine celebrity cabooses to determine who’s got more cellulite… and then there’s 7 – 11 where the magazines are more, well, you get the picture.
Albertson’s is of the latter variety.
Clearly I’m not a fan of Albertson’s but it’s close to home so it provides an opportunity to get in a daily walk. The prices aren’t bad, though I dislike all stores that require a membership card to get the cheaper deals (obviously for tracking purposes, but contact them and they’ll state it somehow improves my life, as was the case when I contacted Safeway years back when it was the first to force cards on people).
Anyhoo…there’s a Starbucks inside, but note that the turnover there is so high there’s no real consistency to the quality of the coffee.
They’ve just lengthened the isles making this somewhat smaller country Albertson’s more «regular» sized. Unfortunately this hasn’t seemed to improve or increase their selection.
Finally, the reason I give it a 2 out of 5: Waiting times.
The staff are hard working and kind but there’s almost always too few of them at the check outs. Tonight, for instance, I waited nearly 15 minutes in line. Frankly, I believe if there’s more than two people in a line they need to open another lane, but they just never seem to have enough personel on staff and this too seems to define grocery stores of this caliber: an obvious focus on the bottom line as opposed to product quality or providing the customer a good experience (as one will more likely have at Nature’s or Trader Joe’s).

Got a decent patio umbrella for $ 29. What a steal! We picked up some yogart and a few odds and ends. Not really close to me but not bad if your in the area.

I’d like to say that at every Albertson’s location. even in Corvallis, Albertson’s deli fried chicken is delish! It’s not your usual dried up, overly crunchy from the heat lamp fried chicken like at Fred Meyers or Safeway. This is some good fried chicken. The sides. not so much. I also think it seems like a prerequisite to be a bitter bitchass sourpuss when applying for an Alberstson’s cashier position, no? Every encounter when going up to pay. I’ve encountered unwarranted rude attitude. Bitch please, know your place in the world. who’s an Albertson’s cashier again? Acting like they work at Saks fifth Ave or something… Usually I’m oblivious to this because I’m in and out but, no they let you know that you’re a dummy when you’re paying for your stuff. Yes… bad attitude year around. Last time when I came in at age 18, and now at age 26, still the personality of a dirty diaper. Other than that, I’d come around more.
