American Legion Portland Post 1

A pretty friendly Legion Post. The building is big with a bar of course, video lottery, an event space upstairs, many tables and a few video games.
The furniture and décor are not overly updated — but it’s clean.
They open at 3pm and they were busy out the gate. A couple old timers waiting at the door to enter.
Drinks are cheap, staff and patrons friendly, couple TV monitors tuned to Golf or NCAA basketball. Seems like a nice community of people. They were planning on getting on a bus to go to the Casino the next day.
They have a popcorn machine — and you buy it on your honor. .50 or so.
I didn’t see food other than small bags of chips, but I’m sure they host dinners on certain nights.
One tap beer — Coors Light, but they are adding an IPA. The usual suspects for cans and bottle beers available.
Most American Legion Posts are private and you must be a member or have someone «sign you in» — below their sign outside it said Public Welcome.

This is a very friendly post. People are great. The service is fast and friendly. There is no food here
