I’ve been going to Colleen for cuts for about a year and a half, and for my(bright purple and fire engine red) color for over a year. She’s a blast to hang out with, which is important when your hair process takes close to three hours! I get compliments on my hair from day one out of the salon to the day before I go in for my color to be redone. Her cuts grow out fantastically, her schedule is accommodating, and I always feel like a rock star when I walk out the door. Highly recommended.

Colleen at Aphrodite is amazing! I have been working with her in the beauty industry, as well as going to her for my hair cuts and colors for years and I have never been disappointed. She is truly skilled in her trade and takes the time to go over what you want, while also pointing out the maintenance that it might be required so that you are not only happy when you leave, but for months afterwards too. I refer all my clients to her because she does a great job and a pleasure to work with. She also did my hair for my wedding and not only did I get tons of compliments but I felt incredibly glamorous and it lasted all night! I HIGHLY recommend Aphrodite Salon and especially Colleen.

I will start off by saying that I only dealt with one of four stylists, this salon looks wonderful but they need to rethink some of their staff! The following review is a copy of a text message conversation I had with a hair dresser from Aphrodite Salon after they weren’t at the salon when I showed up for my appointment. I called(it went to voicemail) and they texted me back with this… Stylist: So sorry! I completely forgot!!! I’m in the hospital visiting a friend Stylist: I feel so bad Me: So you can’t do it today? Stylist: No I cannot, I’m very sorry I Ann plucking up new color tomorrow, and my next free day is Thursday I just feel terrible about this Stylist: «picking up Stylist: This week has been a cluster f*** I’m sorry Stylist: I’m So so sorry! Me: ok let’s just forget about the whole thing since you can’t today… I drove 30 min to get into town :/… Stylist: I’m sorry. I didn’t put it on the schedule since it was afree service. But if you don’t want the service anymore I understand, and I can find a new model. Me: yea I will just do it myself, best of luck to you Stylist: …okay… Stylist: I’m sorry, but if I’m at the hospital chances are some truly awful stuff had happened, and I apologize for being a tit and forgetting about the appointment. Me: I appreciate the offer, it’s just that I kinda had a feeling that you wouldn’t be there when I arrived, not because of you… Just seems like people our age always do that… I’m just kind of surprised because it was a professional service. But it is what it is and I guess I like doing my own hair so I can keep the credit. Thanks for texting me back after I called instead of leaving me hanging, I appreciate it! Stylist: I have never bailed on a client before, so there is no need to be rude. Also it is a200 $ service I was doing for free, so no need to take a stab at my l Stylist: ack of being professional. I think you should do it yourself, because it was a simple mistake, and I’m at the hospital. HOSPITAL. So Thankyou for Stylist: being insensitive while I say goodbye to a close family friend. I was on my way to you now. Me: I think you misunderstood my text, I didn’t not mean to offend you… Stylist: I hope so. Me: I wasn’t taking a stab at your lack of professionalism, it was a free service after all so it’s not as important. Like I said I appreciate the offer and I wish you luck in finding a model! Stylist: Are you sure you do not want the service anymore? Stylist: I could even come to you Me: thank you for the offer but I don’t feel very positive about this after our negative interaction just now. I hope your friend/family member is doing well! Stylist: Thankyou. Sorry.
