I’m giving this 3 stars for several good and bad reasons. I used to go to the airport location all the time since I worked at the airport. And I absolutely loved their food. I thought I’d try the original food cart on Sandy so I didn’t have to pay to park at the airport. I’ve been there three times at three different times of the day. And not once were they open. The first time they didn’t have their open sign on but I could see someone inside but thought maybe they were on a break.(It was around 3pm). After waiting 30 minutes I gave up and went to another food cart. As I was waiting for my food from the other cart. I see someone come up to the window and pay for food and leave.(They apparently called in their order). Now maybe that was my fault because I didn’t go up to their window and bang on it to talk to someone but I’m just not that kind of person. If your open sign is on I know you’re open. If it’s not on, I assume you’re closed and move on. Their hours state they’re open from 11am-7pm on google as well as they’re the same hours as the airport location and I sit here at 11:30am and they’re closed again. No one inside that I can see and their window is covered by a locked door. I’ve made special trips out here just for their food because I love it so much but it’s extremely disappointing when I make that special trip and they aren’t open. 1 stars for inconvenience, 5 stars for food. So I’ll give it 3. Just want to let people know, don’t get your hopes up for Thai if you’re coming to these carts because they may be closed.

So I’ve written two reviews for this place but now there’s a second entry with different spelling? I thought it’s time for my third review. People day three times a charm. I was hankering for some Thai place and so glad I went here again. My last experience was less than stellar but today was complete polar opposite. I ordered pad see ew and it came out fast, fresh and delicious. There was a nice smoky char from the hot work/pan. The noodles were fresh and delicious. There was smattering of broccoli, chicken and eggs. Basically, it hit all the sweet and salty tastebuds. The price was just right $ 7 and the portion was perfect, definitely on the larger side. I’m not sure what is going on with all these other Thai restaurants charging $ 9/$ 10 + for the same dish. I get it, you have to pay rent, overhead and employees. I’m just not looking to pay that much for rice noodles! I’ll just go back to my neighborhood Thai food cart and have a delicious pad see ew. Maybe tomorrow?

Finally stopped here last month after driving aimlessly throughout PDX. The menu is filled with the usual Thai dishes. The Hollywood’s Curry combines curry with Pad Thai noodles and Drunken Noodles. I was basically about to get that when I saw a special for salmon curry. SALMONCURRY($ 7.95): Got it extra spicy because pandas enjoy stuff like ghost pepper powder. No ghost powder here, but nice flavor and good heat. Probably powdered or flaky chiles blended into the curry. Rice was also nicely cooked(your choice of white or brown). Good prices and great service. Get some good Thai food here!

Good food, quick, great prices. I had not been to Rose City Food Park in over a year and had been meaning to check it out. It has expanded a lot. I recently joined the gym next door and on my way out of there today I decided to pick up some food. Bangkok Xpress was one of the open carts and it smelled good. I ordered crispy rolls and pad see ew with chicken(my favorite) to go. The total was only $ 11 and the food was ready quickly. The crispy rolls were terrific but the sweet and sour sauce was extremely runny, basically the consistency of water. Then when I opened the pad see ew I discovered that they had given me a box of pad thai instead. The pad thai was delicious(and I was hungry from the gym), but it wasn’t what I ordered. This might have been a five star review if the sweet and sour sauce had been better and if they had served me what I ordered. It’s still a great place and I’ll go back soon and try to get pad see ew for real this time.

Great food, great portions, great people! My husband and I love this place. We’re always greeted with a friendly smile, which I really appreciate. I usually order the Pad See Ew with tofu, and my husband the Pad Thai with chicken. Our meals never disappoint, and we often have a little leftover for a snack later, or lunch the next day. Fair prices, and one of my favorite places to get Thai in town.

Super friendly people serving good food at a great price in record time. Portland is not running low on Thai Food, the only problem is how to choose. If you want a good sit down dinner don’t come here, why not? Well as you can see it is a food cart, although they do have some tables in front. The quality of food is good, not the best Thai food I have had, but I must say for $ 6 it is well worth it. I stopped by at noon on a Saturday and was surprised how quickly they were able to get me my food(well under 5 minutes). Side note, they are moving to 52nd and NE Sandy next week.
