Always has a great selection of beer, the food truck is a plus! Whether you are looking to take home beer from their store or sit down and enjoy a brew from their bar, you will not be disappointed. Monks café food cart parked outside and provided us with one of the freshest sandwiches I’ve ever tasted!

The beer tenders are so knowledgeable, and if you tell them the style of beer you enjoy most, they will not fail in suggesting a brew that will be certain to please.
The patio out back is sweet, the customer base is friendly, and you can leave with an amazing bottle or 12 of your favorite fermented beverages.

The shop part I will say is great ! Must go! The taproom however is not the friendliest of service, it’s hard to feel talked down to when you only want a beer. Good prices though, I will likely just buy in the store and leave next time to avoid interacting.

This is the bottle shop to end all bottle shops. If its available, in this state, they either have it or they can get it. This is the beer snobs heaven. Never spent much time at the bar thats attached, because I spend all my cash at the shop. I love this place. If Portland can be defined by excellence, this place is Portland.

If you want to come and get a great beer but be treated like a dirt by bartenders who wear their hats low and pretend not to hear you then this is your place. You’re best off getting your beer to go and NOT dealing with the pathetic, rude and cocky bartenders. I would love to give 4 stars for beer content but the bar staff barely deserve 1 star

As a 10 year patron (mas y minos), I have regrettably lessened my visits over the past few years. What was once a very inviting beer hall has morphed into one of the more unfriendly drinking establishments in inner SE. I don’t know what happened. Burn out? Mean management? But regardless, I feel increasingly an adversary each time I come in. Which sucks because I have spent A LOT of money at this place, and heretofore lauded its bounty to many of my acquaintances. I continue to shop there, out of necessity; they still have the best selection of bottled brews in town. But the warm fuzzy feeling has definitely died.

I always feel embarrassed to write bad reviews because I feel like it’s impossible to avoid sounding entitled and annoying. I am really going to try not to sound that way. I’m not rich by any means and definitely not hard to please. That said, my experience here was pretty bad. Boyfriend and I wanted a date after a really busy first week of school and work (I work for the schools, so doubly busy is what I mean here). We decided Belmont Station because we love beer and I looked at their menu online, it sounded good.
The menu online must be totally outdated, because now they serve food from a cart called Italian Market — which was disgusting. My boyfriend had a meatball sub, which he liked, so get that if you want something. I ordered some «spicy potatoes» took a bite, and went to the bathroom and spit them out. I had a wet pretzel too, which was just a soggy pretzel with cheese whiz. I mean whatever, I read the description beforehand and it was cheap as hell, so no big loss. But, those potatoes. They could make me cry. How can they hurt potatoes so badly? What have potatoes ever done to them? It was truly sad. Thinking about the smell of them is grossing me out right now. Don’t get those stupid potatoes, PLEASE!
The bartender was nice. Unfortunately, we brought in 2 22’s and they said they couldn’t fill them? We have had those 22’s filled at like 20 different spots all around Portland and the famous Belmont Station couldn’t fill them??? Weirdness. Like, we’ve even had them filled at regular bars… not always breweries… but somehow a bottle shop couldn’t do it. So that was strange. The pints we had were good though!
The bottle shop is great. They have an interesting selection and we picked up a bunch of booze, no complaints there. Staff in there were friendly. I guess my advice is to stick with the bottle shop or to only stop in for a beer. Eat before or after you come. Absolutely no potato eating. I’ll probably go back to the bottle shop, but somewhere else for pints.

The Belmont Station is nowhere near my house, but as they have an amazing selection of beer and hard cider I am more than willing to make the trip!
My last two trips have occurred because I have fallen in love with Finn River’s Habanero hard cider and this is the only place I have been able to find it. If you are a cider fan and also enjoy spicy things, this is a MUST TRY!
Things seem to be organized really well in this shop and if there is ever a time that I am having trouble figuring out what to purchase, the staff has always been very helpful. They pass on the cost of running credit cards to their customers, so you can get your bottles for a little cheaper if you pay in cash.
The bottle shop is connected to a bar which allows patrons to enjoy their recently purchased beverages for a small corkage fee.
The only thing I don’t like about The Belmont Station is the fact that they are not right in my neighborhood, (Although maybe this is a good thing for my bank account).

4 ½ stars. Excellent selection, knowledgeable staff, large area to enjoy your selection, just all-​around worth a trip once a week. It’s hard to say 5 stars because there isn’t anything specifically that makes it ‘perfect’ and it doesn’t stand out too much from any of the other bottle shops open in PDX now — it’s really just whatever neighborhood you’re in, or what you prefer.
The bottle shop has hundreds of selections, of course, which you can have opened at the bar for $ 2 extra — they’ll give you a glass for the tapping fee. Then you can select a bar stool or head out back to the beer garden area, a nice mix of tight little tables fully outside and taller sheltered area. The Italian Market truck is parked right outside, attempting to lure you over while you quaff that Imperial IPA. Resist that urge at your peril. You should definitely eat something if you plan on sticking around…

This review is about the bar side not the store side.
It all about how one is treated at a bar/​pub to me.
This was a total Fail.
Me and coworker came in here for a drink, we walked up to the bar in a great mood, well because we just came out of a grueling meeting at work wanted to knock a couple back and nothing puts a smile on your face than a cold beer… well it’s a close second… anyhow, until we were ignored…(the place was not busy) while other people walked up and got immediate assistance. Trust me I did all the right things. I smiled, made eye contact, ya know. cool things… I didn’t want my mind to wonder why this happened… But my mind did wonder… I’ll stop there… but I will say this, this place is probably a awesome place to have a beer but management needs to be aware that some paying customers feel unwelcome and that is a direct effect of your employees lack of training.
I will not be back and it’s all because of the lack of respect for people. It’s’ sad that this discrimination still goes on… Sad and very disappointed…

If Heaven had a beer station it would definitely be Belmont. there’s not a thing here that I’ve tried that I’m disappointed with. great atmosphere, fantastic outdoor seating and a nice little Italian market food cart in the back

Hard to think of a place with a better selection of beer in town. I like browsing, especially for exotic sour beers, and the staff is super friendly and non-​pretentious.
Having said that, out of 1300 bottles to choose from I still buy the same 4 or 5 beers every time I go there. Uinta, Union Jack, a few local Portland breweries, and of course Olympia tall-​boys (hidden on the bottom shelf of shame).
Can I buy a bottle of the Latvian equivalent of Coors for $ 7? Probably. Do I want to? Not really. But I did enjoy dropping $ 10 on a licensed Game of Thrones beer and watching a bunch of jackasses walking around in their Tyrion outfits the night they went on sale.
Bar is pleasant too, though I usually buy to go.

That line made famous by Homer J Simpson, has never been truer than here at Belmont Station. Not only beer but cider also. You have people that know the stuff, selling you that same stuff. You can also consume it here through the other doorway. Which reminds me, I must try that some time.
The selection is not as vast as John’s Market o’er in Multnomah Village, but c’mon it’s all the way o’er in deep SW. Plus the people over here at BS are friendlier and less high than those at other beer shoppes (like the one in Multnovillage).
So there you have it! Great beer & cider form people that are less high than others. Boy, I cannot wait to see what happens to this city come July 1^st (Measure 91).

It’s a bar AND a beer store? Holy cow — color me impressed. Not only that but you can buy beer in the store, take it over to the bar and drink it on the spot. I totally dig.
The brews I sampled were all excellent and included a stout, a wheat beer and blackberry cider. One thing that I really appreciated was that I could order a small sample, a glass, or a pint. The range in sizes and prices is so cool — and it also meant I could try more options.
They have a ton of tap handles hanging on the wall of the bar. I very much enjoyed giving them a gander. Over all, it was a cool bar to hang out for an hour or two. Many people coming and going but that’s good for business.
There are awesome beer selections in the store as well as little keep sakes of the British themed logo. I dig.

This is definitely a beer house. Don’t believe me? Just check out the HUNDREDS of tap handles lining the right wall in this cramped, but happening spot.
Different sizes are offered for your beer tasting needs… Small, glass, pint, liter, and also they do growler fills.
At my visit they had 23 taps (but only one cider :(why no apples?) and a cask.
Through a magical door you enter a luxurious quick stop n shop with bar snacks and so much booze.
Enough booze for your whole life!
Bottle opening fee from mart section is 1.50, but a small fee for guaranteed satisfaction of a known favorite bottle. The not so mini mart carries MANY ciders to choose from (yes, Yes Lord).
The bartender was VERY friendly even giving advice on cool spots around town!

Very novel idea: Drink very good beer while you shop for very good beer. What more could you want? For me, maybe a tad more options on the malty, English bitter side, but I’m sure that will come soon enough. Thanks for the good time!

As a bottle shop with one of the biggest selections in town, Belmont Station is always on my must-​visit list when I’m hosting beer loving folks who need something special to take home. And who aren’t fortunate enough to live here…
The website keeps a regularly (not daily) updated bottle list, including highlights of what’s new, so I can check in advance for why I might want to head over. The selection’s great for domestics and local/​regional beers, which is usually what I’m after. Lots of seasonal bottles here, and of course there are special launches, sales and tappings of various harder-​to-​find things if the brewer’s in town.
I haven’t hung out in the Biercafe, but I’m always tempted by what’s on tap there (a couple dozen brews, many available for growler fills) and appreciate the utterly laid-​back scene. Some newer shops are a little too shiny — I need a little sticky on the floor to really feel at home.
Plus, in true PDX fashion, you get a small discount on your purchases if you stick it to the man and pay cash instead of card. I often forget this (and feel like a bad person when I do), but I’m pretty proud of myself when I remember. So, you know, I treat myself with an extra bomber…

We had a chill afternoon here with several rounds of drinks. We started on their outdoor table and then moved inside when the rain started.
It was easy to stay entertained between their many beer options and the bookshelf full of games. We ended up playing cards for several hours. I’m not much of a beer drinker myself but they had a great cider and a honey wine that I enjoyed!
Just beware that their «small» is really tiny — maybe a double shot. Not really worth it unless you really just want a few sips of your drink!

Being that I’m the newbie to Portland, most all of you probably know about Belmont Station. For the one or two of you that don’t, it’s a place to pick up great beer. All those large single bottles from all across the area, focusing on the local brews from here and Washington. Although I was surprised to see some Shiner Farmhouse Ale from Texas.
One big thing to note, which I’m not sure if it’s a Portland thing or just this place. The prices are slightly different depending on if you pay cash or credit/​debit. About 20 cents different. I find that odd, but not sure if it’s the norm, because I have purchased beer locally and it hasn’t happened to me as of yet.
Anyway, incredible selection and you could try beers for the next couple of years and not go through what they have there. They also have a «Philly style Italian Market» eatery attached to the place, but I didn’t venture in to see what they had. I’m sure cheese steak is on the menu, maybe even pork with broccoli rabe?
Enjoy drinking and eating here. I will venture in from time to time, with cash, to pick up a bottle or two to try.
