For a cheap Chinese buffet, It’s not that bad. It’s my go-to place since I live so close to it. I suppose the selection is a little on the slim side, but most of what they do have is tasty nonetheless. I love the green beans they do. I can’t get enough of them.

REVOLTING! This restaurant needs to be shut down IMMEDIATELY! It was only because they had us pay right when we walked in that they received a penny from me. I should have gone and looked at the food first because if I had, we would’ve never had the torturous time we just sat through. I should’ve asked for my money back but my kids were starving. Bad choice mama! The most disgusting Chinese options, and every one tasted worse than a Chinese TV dinner. Actually, I have had better General Tso & Orange Chicken from a frozen box dinner. Most of the items only had a couple pieces left. The ones that had food in them were mushy, over cooked and tasted like it came from a can. I am literally writing this trying not to throw up 20 minutes later. My 12 year old who eats anything and lots of it, ate only a few bites and now is complaining of a stomach ache. One of my pictures shows what was supposed to be Teriyaki Chicken. The screen opened up behind the food cart and a lady poured in some chunks of white things. Looking closer it was dry cabbage. She poured the sauce on top that was left over from the last batch. No chicken just dry chunky cabbage pieces and some dark sauce. I tried a piece of General Tso and spit it out because it was not something I would even give my dog. There is absolutely no standard of cleanliness. The floors stink, are coated in stains and looks like it hasn’t been vacuumed in a year. The health department needs to be notified ASAP! Nothing was cleaned around the food prep area. It wasn’t that busy. We were there between 6 – 7:15pm on a Saturday. If you are looking for a good buffet try Super Kings Buffet down the street on 82nd. High Class & standards. But because of the price point some people won’t. BELIEVEMEITISWORTHEVERYCENT! Save your hard earned dollars and go eat dog food, it will taste better than Best Buffet. Don’t feed this to your children, or yourself

As I entered the restaurant reaked of spoiled eggs. Two of my friends out of a group of five wanted to eat so they only paid, only to find out only the two who paid where allowed in. The three of us ended up having to wonder around Ross next door as the other two ate. PLEASEDON’T EATHERE.

The food is okay the crowd that this place attracts is absolutely disgusting, the customers are rude and have no class or regard for anyone else, the beef and broccoli is always a disappointment, since the Ghetto birds pick all the meat out, as if it’s Carne Asade, kids are running around like animals, this place definitely attracts below middle class, hot wings are the best here

The food was good but it’s hard to get past some of the other things that just shouldn’t be happening. Like the lady clipping green beans at the cash register, or how unbelievably messy it was. Every table was dirty and unbussed, there were no clean dishes, there was a dirty rag just sitting at the drink fountains soaking up the leaking machine. But did I say the food was good.

This was the worst buffet in the history of history. The place doesn’t look clean they’re seats are torn up they’re bathroom is not clean. We found a hair in our plate when we went to tell the lady all she said was I’m sorry. Never going here again!

Pretty average Chinese food. Not much variation of food to choose from but it is cheap

To those who’ve stated that this place is the«worst,» this is actually NOT the worst. The worst, in my experience, was the Panda Buffet on SE McLoughlin Blvd(across from Harbor Freight Tools, etc.) Food-wise and service-wise, I would just never go there again. That aside, I’ve been to Best Buffet twice, both times with a friend who just loves it. Which I think is kind of funny, because she’s such a classy lady, and this place is a bit divey. But, you can’t beat the $ 7.95 price. I’m actually a vegan, and I walked out full tonight, for they had enough of a salad bar for me to get a full plate, and I had another full plate with rice, veggies, potatoes, etc. I was a bit lacking in the protein department, but this place isn’t really geared toward vegans specifically. My only complaint on the food was that a piece of cantaloupe tasted moldy and I had to spit it into my napkin. Also, my fortune cookie only had half a fortune! Cheated! The service is nothing to scream over. It’s that typical place where the person at the front nearly yanks your debit card from your hand, like, «Pay now!» But, for less than $ 8, I didn’t really take offense.

I’m comparing this place to the buffet across the street… Hometown Buffet has nice people, clean atmosphere but dry gross food in my experience Best Buffet is about half the price, especially dinner and weekends, food is a bit better, atmosphere is not clean and friendly like Hometown, but heck, it’s a great deal!!! Pig out!

I rate Best Buffet 3 Stars instead of 2 for the Value. Some of the reviews said this is the Worst Chinese Buffet they have ever been to. Although it’s not the best, it’s certainly not the worst. For $ 6.50 including drink for Lunch, it was acceptable. Although the selections were limited, I was able to find a few dishes I enjoyed. The best was the Curry Beef. Tender Beef and Potatoes in a flavorful curry broth. I ended up going back for seconds. I would agree with the other reviewer, the Hot and Sour soup was strangely sweet. The Kimchee was very tasty. Spicy but also a little sweet. Pepper Fried Chicken Wings — Tasted more like Pepper Honey BBQ Wings, which was not what I was expecting. They were good, but not what I would consider Pepper Chicken Wings. I am now noticing a theme that many of the dishes are sweet. The Crab Puffs were crispy, loaded and did have a crab taste. Better than other places I’ve been. The Pank Crusted Fried Fish was very good. Very Hot(temp) and tasty. The Egg Foo Young wasn’t bad but was lukewarm. The Gyoza were plump and nice. Lastly the Hoison Ribs were tender and flavorful. I’d say my 2 favorite dishes were the Ribs and the Curry Beef. Now for the downside of Best Buffet. 1. While I was there a table next to me filled with non-English speaking individuals thought it would be a good idea to let their kids eat their cake on plates, sitting on the ground. These kids managed to miss their plates and decided it was perfectly acceptable to just eat off the floor. GROSS! And the 2 mothers didn’t even pay attention or seem to care their animal children were doing this. 2. Even after this animalistic family, I contemplated giving this place another try until I was ready to leave and looked over at the Buffett and noticed one of the cooks opening the sliding windows, where food is passed from the kitchen to the Buffett, and he thought it would be a good idea to take a pair of tongs and place the french fries and teriyaki chicken that had fallen onto the buffet back into their respective containers. NASTY! For $ 6.50 per person including drink, Best Buffett seems like a great deal but after witnessing what I witnessed, I think I’ll seek out another place to get my Chinese On.

While the price was decent, the selection was small, and nothing tasted good. By far the worst meal I think I’ve ever had. The highlight of the meal was the buffalo chicken wings, until the legs were gone and the wings were all fat-and the ice cream. And that was after tasting one bite of just about everything. The fried Chinese meals seemed old, dry and hard. Some of the chicken dishes were so soft they were kind of creepy. Besides bland flavor, most of the items just tasted BAD. The romaine lettuce seemed to have a tiny amount of some weird, old dried chicken in it, which creeped me out. I would not go here again.

To call what they serve here food would be a compliment. This was not only the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had but The worst food period, and I thought the ex wife was a bad cook. The only thing that wasn’t nasty was the beverage and the salad. Avoid this place at all costs, not worth the stop.

Since this place opened, all shiny and new many years ago, I’ve been an on-and-off again patron. At first, it was a 5-star place. It slid down ton a 3-star place several years ago. But, after today, I’m probably not going back. [See the last paragraphs] In the past, when I’ve got a cold, northing was better than their Hot & Sour Soup to warm the tummy and open the nose. Today: it LOOKED like Hot & Sour Soup, but was thin, and tasted oddly sweet, no sour and smelled off. Sure, you can get a large quantity of food for $ 6.50 during lunch. All of their hot items look appetizing, but the taste is either very bland(even the items marked«HOT») and relatively tasteless. It looked like most of the dishes had lots of garlic in them — but I sure couldn’t taste it. Good: Wok fried green beans. Deep-fried wontons Fair: Most of their chicken dishes are OK; dark meat chunks, coated and deep-fried small pieces, but with different looking sauces. They all pretty much tasted the same. Awful: Egg Foo Young — Looking at it closely, and tasting it – I think they’re made of mushed up cardboard. «Chicken Strips» — They look great; like a whole breast of chicken, breaded and deep-fried, and cut into strips. I’m sure they would have tasted good — but they were COLD. Not too sure long how they were sitting there. Odd: I’m happy they use lots of SaniChlor(dish sanitizer) when washing dishes and drinking cups. However, it seems they fail to rinse them. The chlorene off-gassing almost burned my nose when taking my first sip. Clincher: Small, frosted sliding windows allow workers to replenish the buffet directly from the kitchen. They left a couple of them open, and I got a GOOD look at the kitchen. It was FILTHY. Chef Ramsey would shut the place down, calling it a «kitchen nightmare». I sure don’t want to cause folks problems — but I’m tempted to contact Clackamas County Health and ask for an inspection. Dine at your own risk!

I had a chance to eat at the sushi restaurant next door with 3.5 stars + 38 reviews(only 1 table was occupied while I walked in) but I picked this awful buffet because there were 5 tables and the guests seemed to be enjoying the food. NONONO, the worst buffet in the world. Only have myself to blame!!! The best thing about this BESTBUFFET was the fortune cookie —- the fortune itself NOTTHECOOKIE! The dang cookie tasted like sh-t!!! I still want to kick my own a$$ so badly!!! :( So you have been warned — if you eat here, you should kick your own a$$.

Oh this place is awesome. Cheap chinese food with friendly service. I first went here when they first opened 3 times in the first week. LOL some good memories. My dad and I were so fat back then. Anyways, a high school buddy and I went here quite often for nostalgia purposes. He would have a technique: drink 3 cups of water because the carbonated stuff will fill your stomach. He kept asking for water so I told the waitress that we call my friend, «water-man» becuase he drinks so much water. Selection is decent, they do 3 – 4 dishes really well and the others are not so good. The salad spread is sad, as well as their fruit/dessert/soup, but hey, you’re getting cheap food.

One word to describe Best Buffet would be consistent. The food is never good or bad, just meh schmeh. The buffet is extremely cheap though, only around $ 5 for lunch and $ 7 for dinner. I have consistently eaten my money’s worth. A decent, cheap place to eat some variety. It has always been clean and quiet in there.
