Nice experience and a great cut from Coco, thanks! I’m glad I signed in online before I went or I might have had a long wait. I’ll be back.

Emily cut and colored my hair about 2 months ago when I was in town visiting my son. I have had countless compliments. She did such a great job! Kenny also highlighted my daughters hair. She is very happy with his work.

Bishops is a walk in only shop, right? How is it, then, that I walk in and none of the stylists are busy, put my name in, and get passed in line by four walk ins who came in behind me? After realizing I was the ONLY person left sitting and only ONE stylist was cutting hair, I decided to inquire. I was told: «they registered online.» So, if you pre-register for an event online and show up at a predetermined time to skip the line, does that not qualify as an appointment? Bishops needs to either change their advertising to reflect current business models or actually own up to the plan. I walked out. Thanks for the free beer, I will find another establishment to trim my hair.

Huge shout out to hazelle! I haven’t felt this pretty in months! I got an all over highlights and trim. Looks amazing! Thank you so much for teaching me how to work with my hair!

I went to get my hair done and one of the girls said to sign-in using the computer at the front desk. As soon as I finished I sat down and waited for 40 min(Only 2 girls were working, very short staffed!). After waiting for 45 min I started to realize they were taking customers who had clearly just got there. I confronted one of the girls(her name was Fay) after I noticed she had sat a guy who had JUSTWALKEDIN! She made me feel like crap and didn’t believe me when I told her I had been waiting for over 40 min. She Whispered something to the guy, which made me feel very bad! All she had to say to the guy was«sorry sir, but I didn’t see her before you. You will be next» but instead, she acted like a high school drama queen and whispered to the guy! She(Fay) proceeded to do my hair in a very bad mood. She did not say a word to me while doing my hair. She asked another person sitting down if they needed a drink or anything but of course she did not ask me if I needed anything. It was a horrible experience! I did not like the cut she gave me. I should have just walked away but I had already wasted 45 min:-/ Having two kids waiting at home, I was hoping for a relaxing«momma free time away from home» but instead I had a bad experience which I really regret. Thanks Fay for your bad customer service!

I like the new check in system a lot. No longer any waiting. Great Place to get your haircut. I also had Ronaldo, he did a great job.

Love this place. I always leave with a smile on my face. I’ve had my hair cut by pretty much every stylist there and they’re all amazing.

Ronaldo is a wonderful stylist. He is a great listener, and I love the way his haircuts grow out. He recently gave me the«Crystal Ash Blonde» highlights I’ve been coveting, and they are gorgeous! The extended hours at Bishops make it easier for me to get my hair done when it needs to be done, not just when I can manage to get squeezed in on a day off. Looking forward to my next visit with Ronaldo.

The À la carte menu can result in services costing more than they would in a top salon, and you get to wait to be over charged. They charge extra to wash your hair even with a cut, color or style. They also charge extra to heat up a curling iron. It’s okay if you’re looking for a barber. If you’re looking for a blow out and style you’re better off scheduling an appointment with a top stylist in town.

Based on peoples’ recommendations, I booked myself with their online self-service to get a haircut from Coco — I’m so glad I did! I was nervous about going to Bishop’s for a much needed haircut, I’ve had about 75% luck with them but also the worst haircut in my life. Once. I looked like that cat with a watermelon helmet meme. Seriously. So anyway, I’ve been iffy about Bishop’s and I’ve trying to step out of the ‘walk-in’ hairstyling world and getting a ‘hairdresser’ like an ‘adult’. But today, a haircut just needed to happen ASAP. The lady I’ve been going to doesn’t work weekends apparently and another salon put me on hold and sent me eventually to voicemail with no callback — so fuck ‘em. Coco was super friendly and appeared to be really great with customer service as she quickly tended to an individual in need of a color correction while I got my haircut. She did so much layering and snipping to my hair, it feels 100% better. I am so happy with the shape she gave me and how healthy my hair feels again. So yeah! Listen to folks’ reviews and pick recommended hairdressers, Coco ruled.

The staff here do a nice job of cutting hair. Plus, free Session Beer. Last visit they slipped me in very quickly to get my bangs trimmed. Hospitality is great. Quality of service good. Always helpful in a pinch if my hairdresser hasn’t called me back and I am a procrastinator. Atmosphere is relaxed and rock and rolly. Cool view of Alberta Street out the window.

Having moved a lot in Oregon, this is the first time I’ve been to this location. It was a great experience with very friendly attentive staff. Lara cut my hair today and it was perfect, she is very knowledgeable and knows how to treat her clients requests. I loved the atmosphere and boy, did it get packed quick. Waited about 20 mins to be seen, couldn’t be happier. Def going back here now that I found a place that I love.

Rip off. My hair is super, super short because it was buzzed down to the scalp by a different Bishops barber –ok, my bad, I guess we didn’t communicate well. Today, it cost me TWENTYFOUR dollars for the gal to trim over my ears –cutting one of them –plus buzzing my neck and left the rest of it alone. It took probably 8 minutes and they insisted this was worth $ 24. Are you kidding me? DONEWITHYOU Bishops. Nasty Session beer doesn’t matter, btw.

I have been coming to Bishops to get my hair cut for years. They always do a great job. In this instance I was planning to cut off a lot of hair. While my stylist was a little nervous about it at first and asked if I was absolutely sure, she ran with it once things got going. I’ve always been able to walk in and get to things fairly quickly, but even if you have to wait for a while, they’ll offer you a beer and there’s ample reading material available. I was even excited to note that this location in particular offers Session instead of just Miller Lite. I hope to continue to have great experiences at Bishops for years to come. And I love that they offer a frequent user punch card.

The hair cut isn’t bad but the hairdresser didn’t really seem into it, whatsoever, the receptionist was nice — I wish that friendliness came from the lady working on me though… an not that I think haircuts should be free but sometimes I wonder if I am paying 30 $ for the skill or the environment… Overall I think this may be one of my last trips to bishops.

Tried going a couple of times in case I went on an «off day». The wait is average 45 minutes and the quality of the cut is hit and miss. I’m currently at another place down the street getting my hair fixed from last weeks cut. I didn’t make it back within seven days so I would have had to pay more to have it fixed and the amount«depended» on how much needed to be cut so I decided to go down the street to a less trendy spot and pay half the cost for a better cut.

Free beer and hipsters. You can go to super cuts and bring a flask for the quality of their cuts. I stood at the front counter for about 5minutes before the woman at the front counter(grudgingly) peeled herself away from her gossip to answer a question for me. I thanked her of course. To which she replied«yeah whatever». No coco. Thank you, for opening my eyes to the fact that this place is officially NOT what it used to be. You saved me about 35 bucks, and the stomach ache gimmick swill you call beer. Be open to a new place, there’s plenty of barber shops and salons that are up to date on trends. And no doubt they can do better, sans the poor attitudes. They get 2 stars for keeping the bathroom clean.

Anyone notice how many pictures of white people they have up all over the walls? I did a «minority count» during my 40 minute wait — spotted 4 out of about 200. How very Portland. Haircuts are alright, depending on who you get. Reasonable prices. And free beer while you wait. Perhaps this numbs me into white hipster privilege complacency…

I’m a simple fella with a need for a simple butch. But I have a bumpy head. Stylist Heather Howard did a great job and helped hide those bumps very well and gave me a perfect butch. Thanks!

I was in desperate need of a haircut and I just so happened to be in Alberta. Bishops was a little busy but after a cold beer and few minute wait, Allie got my all trimmed up. I was incredibly happy with my service and I will definitely return when I need another cut.
