Happy Hour on a Saturday afternoon? Count me in. Had a pretty good experience at Bridge City Taproom. I ordered the street tacos off the happy hour menu and let me be the first to tell you that they are not«street size.» Bridge City does not cheapen out on the meat — these tacos are huge! I also tried two flavors of their cider: blackberry and pear. Both tart and delicious, but I personally prefer the blackberry. The service was on point as well. I like how this place has a pool table, shuffle board, and multiple screens to watch games. Definitely will return here whenever I’m in the area.

I’ve been going here since I was of legal drinking age and I can’t believe I haven’t written how awesome this place is! My husband and I go here at least once or twice a week. We’re not much of sporting fans so the crowds during a game are too much to carry on a conversation, but other than that the drinks totally make up for it. Strong drinks and, our favourite, excellent spanish coffees! As well as great beer selection. The food is great! Happy hour is great! Staff and bartenders are friendly and attentive. There’s something for everyone here!

This place is incredible and well worth stopping in. The owners are top notch and probably the hardest workers I have ever seen. They make 100% sure the service is quick and let me tell you the food has never once been disappointing. Now as far as the food goes, I have been here many many times now and have ordered just about everything on the menu atleast once. With that said everything has been delicious and you always get a great amount of food for your money. This place is not spendy like most places around the whole Portland area. It is a great price and a great atmosphere.

Love this place! Great place to watch a game, have a meal, and meet new friends. The menu is constantly updated and there are daily specials that are inexpensive and taste great. The deserts are all made«in-house» and are worth the visit. If beer is what you’re searching for, I counted at least 30 on tap and a few of those are rotated in and out on a regular basis.

Not impressed. The mac and cheese wasn’t very good(compared to Herbs) and the dessert had freezer burn. No desire to return.

After hundreds of drive by’s the wife and I stopped in for lunch. In a word… Amazing. The serious beer list was all Oregon; yet not ladened with Portland’s finest. Instead this is a place to go to find some of the smaller craft beer magicians from outside the metro area; like Pfriem, Wild Ride or Everybodys Brewing. We really appreciate the range of varietals; a few IPA’s for the hop heads; however is a balanced offering including nut browns, stouts, wit and lagers. The food is impressive, inexpensive and plentiful. Both our meals triggered«Ah’s» from the first bite. I could not wait to finish the leftovers of the cheese pasta, somehow it was gone by dinner time. The facility itself is perfect. Roomy without being to spacious. Enough light to comfortably illuminate the wooded interior, without having that blinding hospitaly feel. Multiple TV’s splashing sports, visible from every angle. The walls included the appropriate homages to the Timbers, Blazers, Beavers and Ducks along with some amazing brew themed chalk art. Now to the information important to many Unilocalers. It was January 9th and they still have holiday decorations all over the place and the server was wearing a black shirt and no visible piercings or tattoos. I almost had to move their score down to 1 star for those faux pas’.

I can’t believe I hadn’t written a review for my new favorite neighborhood sports bar! The location is the worst thing about this place but then again TONS of parking. The food is outstanding nothing you expect from a watering hole. I had the cioppino and it was good!(Mines better but hey) The beer and liquor selection is massive and solid choices. The price is great, especially when you add up all of the pluses. I hope this place does really well just save me a VIP spot ;)

Our 2nd time here and time to write a review. I ordered the Wild Ride, maple nut brown ale during Happy-hour. I nice ale, smooth and mellow. My Caesar salad was good, not great, had more than sufficient dressing and was not garlicy at all. It could have benefited from a dash of garlic. The Street Tacos made with pulled pork were good. The salsa that came with was spicy and smoky. The pork was a touch on the dry side, but otherwise enjoyable. I’d order them again. The sliders were reported to be really good. Soft texture, and really beefy flovor. The tots were nice and crispy. I had enough room after my Caesar salad and 3 street tacos to try their carrot cake. It was excellent. Be nice, and share this wonderful slice of cake with someone. A nice cream cheese frosting what was not sweet and contrasted the light cake very well. For added sweetness, there was whipped cream. Service was great, especially on a busy Wednesday early evening happy-hour. The three of us had beers, food and shared the carrot cake for under $ 40 We’ll be back. The carrot cake, was HUGE, for $ 4.95.

I’m quickly becoming a regular here. Besides the great beer selection, the food is awesome. Hawaiian Poke is amazing, Jason, his wife & staff are all really nice. Great place to watch the game as well. Had dessert for the first time last night, and was blown away. Overall the best bar in PDX!

This place is fantastic. It was a huge change over the previous bar there. They make great food from scratch, great selection of beer, and their staff is a delight. Plus they are always willing to get the game you want to watch on the TV near you :)

Really fun atmosphere combined with stellar food makes this an awesome place to eat, unwind, and watch the game, or with their selection of table games, play a game. The food is most excellent, and I HIGHLY recommend the steak bites, yum! I don’t even like sports but I love this sports bar!!!

Our favorite local watering hole, fast friendly service, amazingly delicious food selections, always an attractive special of the day at very fair price range. Craft beer selection is stable with few changes, but always have my choice of Pallet Jack from Barley Brown Brewing on. Plus a real decent long 4 – 7 pm happy hour on 7 days. The HH menu is excellent both for $ and choices. You will be happy you went here. We hit it for dinner and a pint or two once or twice a week as dinner specials are SO good. Owner has a long history in this area, he and most of the staff ran the now closed Refectory. The Mayor spoke.

My mother-in-law chose this place as an early Mother’s Day get together. I was a bit skeptical going in but this place was fantastic! I had the Big Time Turkey with fries and the sandwich was incredible. My MIL had a side salad with her meal, and it looked like it was packed with veggies. Her husband requested a very altered item and they were very accommodating about it. The beer selection looked good, there was a nice selection. Our waiter was so friendly and attentive, the atmosphere was nice. My husband & I agree that we’d totally go back in the future.

New owners really turned this place around(good riddance, Dawg Haus). GREAT tap list and really decent food for he area and the price. Highly recommend the salmon candy. Ed the bartender does a great job. Exactly what this part of town needed. Support your local neighborhood hangouts!

First reviewed this place in January 2015. Have been back many times since including September 28th and it is still great. Way to go owners and staff! We have a winner here — customer-service oriented servers, great food, ample parking, super clean bathrooms, awesome prices, and a lot of the crew from the closed Refectory who are owning and working here. On a day like today, they even let us call ahead for a reservation for a table for 4 at 12:30pm. We met the owner — you can tell he wants everyone to have a great time. We came for the Rose Bowl — had to talk my sister into it because she’d been here when it was the Dog House Saloon — and for a packed day the service never waivered. Food came out hot. Beer was refilled the second we needed it. Other customers were respectful. Foodwise we tried a lot — the onion rings rocked, steak tips melted in your mouth, buffalo wrap was a bit too spicey but if you like fire this is for you, the calamari sticks were perfectly cooked, Cobb salad was ample and delicious and I liked my dish — a hot dog swimming in chilli, cheese and onions. Fries were crisp and hot. Tator tots are the best I’ve had in awhile. For those of you who don’t live East County way — this place is worth the trip and easily accessible off I-205 and Stark Street. This sports bar is here to stay and I plan to bring my kids back here since kids are welcome. Happy hour runs all week 4−7pm and the prices are old school cheap with quality food. You can’t beat it! Great job guys — you are going to give sports bars closer in on NE Glisan a run for the money!

And we have a winner! Although the sign has not changed we had heard the Doghouse Saloon had new owners and management. We checked it out for ourselves and we are so thankful we did. The first thing we noticed and were very happy to see was the«Minors Welcome till 9pm» sign. We walked in and almost instantly noticed a different atmosphere from the old place. The gentleman at the bar confirmed it was a new management and handed us the menu. We liked the choices and very reasonable prices. Along with the menu we noticed the drink specials. They had 4 drink specials a mixed drink, wine, beer and Oktoberfest special. All at a good price. We ordered Mac & Cheese, Brewers pup, Calamari and the soup special; Brisket soup. The Brisket soup was a cream base that I am not sure how someone would ever come up with. The bartender said he got the idea from a similar soup and thought it would be fitting for the rainy weather. He was spot on… This soup was so good and oddly enough perfect for the weather! Oh some of the ingredients… Brisket, potatoes, collard greens, chicken broth base and heavy cream. AMAZING! I do not like steak style calamari however he said it is one of the fav’s. I gave it a try and it was actually good. Not overcooked and rubbery like most steak style calamari. The Brewers Pup and Mac & Cheese were are main dishes. Look at the site of these meals and then check the prices! 4.95 for Brewers and 6.95 for a huge helping of homemade mac and cheese. It was so good and close to my grandmother’s style. While we were there we spoke with the bartender and another gentleman quite a bit.(think they were owners but not sure) They are from the area and really want to make this a family friendly neighborhood place. They have 17+TVs, pool tables, lottery and plenty of seating for groups! We left very happy and are super excited about them. Being here. Oh another thing. .Check out the Breakfast menu. I know where we will be this Sunday at 9am! Look how cheap and simple it is. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did!
