Cascadia Expeditions

My husband and I have always wanted to get into kayaking and after doing a lot of searching for the perfect kayaking tour, we decided to give Cascadia Expeditions a go. A few reasons we chose to have our first kayaking experience with Cascadia: they provide everything you need, even water proof bags for you personal items, the entire excursion you are surrounded by nature, no city scape or noises in the background, and they are super versatile because they offer an array of activities such as kayaking, rafting, camping, and rock climbing in some of Oregon’s most beautiful places.
Brett and Jake were our guides. Both of the guys were super friendly and knowledgeable about kayaking. Every question we asked they had an answer for, from safety tips and kayak designs, to where to camp while kayaking in Oregon. Brett has a background in wildlife and fisheries and was so knowledgeable about the geographic landscape and animal populations of the area. We observed quite a bit of creatures along the way and discovered a few things we didn’t know about our local habitat. Needless to say, we were super excited about all of the educational information we received.
Overall our trip was an awesome adventure! They emphasized safety first and showed us everything we wanted to know. The route that was planned for us was so peaceful and super relaxing. We both felt like we were being guided by well experienced kayakers and were completely safe the entire trip. I highly recommend Cascadia Expeditions for a totally awesome outdoor adventure! We will most definitely be signing up for more adventures very soon!

Harry and Brett were awesome awesome guides! We happened to go rafting the one rainy day of the summer, but still had a ridiculously fun time. Laughed a lot. Ate good food. And reveled in the amazing scenery.
Pro tip. Swim the rapids. It’s fun

I was on the same rafting day trip as Frank K. Two of our friends that went on the trip do not know how to swim well. One friend was highly skeptical about the excursion. Our other friend that booked the trip specifically booked an easier trip, but there were still lots of worries. Harry and Brett’s enthusiasm for the outdoors really rubbed off on everyone. They did a great job of explaining safety issues. While they are both super easygoing and friendly, they are serious about safety, so this definitely calmed concerns.
Also, I should note that this trip was booked on a whim. My friend called Cascadia Expeditions at about 4 – 5 pm the day before our excursion!!! Harry and Brett went out of their way to accommodate our last minute request. They even showed up with lunch for our excursion! We were served wraps with fruit and trail mix. It was simple but hit the spot.
The trip was a success. I can’t wait to go on another rafting trip!

Went on a rafting day trip as a group with Harry and Brett. I was kind of nervous and not really looking forward to it in the beginning. But they did a great job of explaining everything and keeping things relaxed. It turned out to be way more fun than I was expecting. I would definitely do it again and I highly recommend these guys. They were a lot of fun.

My experience working with Cascadia Expeditions was really great. I found the two owners to be friendly, knowledgeable, and super fun to work with. They definitely kept things light and easy while having a very strong ethos of safety. There were A LOT of options to choose from and the river was packed when we were on it, I definitely felt that we made the best choice working with Cascadia.

I went on a rafting trip with Cascadia Expeditions and had the time of my life. The experience of the guides, great gear, and excellent food made this trip a wonderful experience.
