I recommended anyone thinking about before buying Groupon discount for a service with any companies, they should read the Unilocal’s reviews of the business. CD Northwest is no exception, they are the worst to deal with and performed very poor jobs. Maybe because they don’t make a lot of money thru Groupon so in return, they’ve done very lousy jobs. STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS!

If I could give no stars I would. I hope this puts this business out of business. No one should own a business to just scam people out of money and not do the work they said they would do. If you see this on Groupon, don’t but it, it’s just a waste of your money. They were supposed to clean the moss off of my roof, when I showed up at the end of the job and noticed the same amount of moss on my roof I asked them why they had not cleaned it off. The fellow told me that they sprayed something on it and it would blow away, it never did. I called and talked to the owner about this, he said they would come back out and I never saw them again. They clearly knew they were pulling a scam by the way they responded to me.

I also purchased the Groupon for CD Northwest Roofing on May 2^nd and paid $ 249.00 and they also never showed up for the appointment scheduled for June 24^th. I was told they were running late on another job and decided to cancel my afternoon appointment… yeah right. No phone call, no email, nothing. Just like the other post I am VERY disappointed on how unprofessional this whole experience has been and only wish I could have read these reviews before I purchased the Groupon. Even Groupon was disappointing in their response when I asked «how do you choose and evaluate businesses». Their answer, «sometimes it’s not a good fit». In essence, we trusted Groupon and they let us down. Overall, I now have a $ 249.00 credit (which I don’t want) and a new Unilocal account so I can make sure others know about this issue. However, I want to clarify that Nick B. is probably talking about the roofing division (rightly so since that’s the company’s title) but the Groupon was supposed to be performed by the power washing division. I was told by the office staff that the entire crew would be fired. Based on the reviews I’ve read it looks like they should have been fired a long time ago. CD Northwest (regardless of which division was assigned to do the work) created the most unprofessional experience I have ever had. Absolutely disappointing! Shame on you.

They only deserve the one star for existing. Otherwise, they are a useless company that lacks integrity, ethics, professionalism. They will attempt and give more effort for not showing up to work then actually performing work for the advance payment received from Groupon. They use more excuses for delays and non performance. Buyer beware on this business. Waited 6 weeks for initial appointment which never happened. Add another appointment 1 ½ weeks later with no show. I am done. I am also done being kind.

I completely agree with what everyone else is saying here. This is an unbelievable rip off. I bought this groupon a few months ago the first time they offered it. I came home from work the day it was supposed to have been done expecting to see a nice clean roof but could see no difference. I was disappointed but thought there must have just been a mix up on the date or something. I called however and they assured me they had been to my house that day and performed the services purchased, which apparently means they spray some moss killer on your roof and walk away. Directly from the groupon: «Gutter Cleaning, Moss Treatment, and Roof Cleanup with Optional Pressure Washing and Cedar-​Shake Washing.» I assumed the «Roof Cleanup» meant they cleaned the moss off the roof. Apparently it does not, to this day I have no idea what they are referring to by that. I emailed the company asking for clarification and never got a response. At the very least this is horrible customer service. In my opinion they are flat out stealing.
I wish I would have posted earlier so I could have saved others from making the same mistake.

Took a day off work to use my Groupon and they never showed up. Finally, they called at the end of the day and said they were «running late». I called Groupon to complain and they said they had a lot of complaints about this company, so I just decided to cancel altogether, based on other Unilocal reviews. Thank goodness, Groupon is so easy to work with!

Review by Karen R is dead on. Total ripoff and you don’t get what the Groupon promises. I’ve emailed Groupon and hoping for money back. Roof is not clean, moss is not removed. The house was pressure washed poorly, and they threw some white liquid on the roof that is all splotched.
The first thing they said when they came by is «what can we do for you today?» I said well, what the Groupon says. They informed me that it would cost at least $ 200 extra to clean the roof, even though that is what the Groupon read.
They spent 90 minutes here, I still have moss on my roof, the gutters are debris free, but not clean, and the debris is all in the corners of my garden now.
Worst experience ever. I pity anyone else who bought a Groupon thru this company.

We purchased a Groupon upon for CD Northwest on February 4, 2013. The Groupon was a «gutter cleaning, moss treatment, roof-​debris cleanup and optional yard debris cleanup» for $ 149.00. After purchasing the Groupon I called CD Northwest to make an appointment. They stated they will send out someone to estimate the work. Rick estimated the work on February 13, 2013. He estimated $ 550.00 for moss removal, treatment, gutters, cleaning, and hammer in loose nails. Estimate states an «all day project». We presumed since the roof had not been cleaned in 2 years an extra cost incurred. We were advised the Groupon price of $ 149.00 which had already been paid would be deducted from the $ 550.00 estimate. The cleaning was scheduled for the roof cleaning for April 30^th. On April 30^th we called CD Northwest after 10:00 am when no workers had arrived for an «all day» job. We were advised they would be here between noon and 1:00 pm. At 2:00 pm no workers had arrived, for which we called the office once again. Workers arrived at 2:30 pm. Completed work at 7:00pm. They demanded a check for $ 550.00. Asked about Groupon, they stated $ 550.00. To summarize we started purchasing a Groupon for $ 149.00 for a roof cleaning, and at the end paid $ 699.00. Workers did not show up on time. We were robbed.
Called and left messages for Chris on April 30, 2013. A representative from CD Northwest Roofing returned my call. She stated the estimate was for $ 550.00 and the $ 149.00 groupon would not be deducted from that amount. I explained I had called in to the office and asked specifically if the $ 149.00 would be deducted from the $ 550.00 and the person who answered the call said yes. The representative on the phone said «she does not know what she was talking about». Than whom should I believe from this company. We were not home when the estimate was written, it was left on our front porch. She said she would talk to Rick and call me back in an hour. I never heard back from her.
My error that I did not obtain names of individuals I spoke with and should have made a point to take off work to be home when estimate was written. CD Northwest Roofing has proven they are dishonest in their business practice.
