I had a small job to do and was afraid no one would be willing to do it, but I called Checkered Flag Asphalt Company because it had good reviews. And now I can see why. Don, the owner, was very pleasant and was willing to come and take a look. Unlike other repair experiences we’ve had, Don himself came – and at exactly the time he said he would. His price was considerably below a couple of other outfits I called (I think they just didn’t want to do a small job). He came with his son, again just when he said he would, and they did a beautiful job. I was at home when they came, and Don was friendly and stopped from time to time to talk and explain. I would highly recommend this company.

Unlike many other contractors, Don, the owner of Checkered Flag Asphalt Paving & Sealcoating LLC always responded to my phone calls or email questions within a day or so. I mistakenly torn up my driveway when I was looking for a septic tank lid. It was an area of 5′ x 5′, but Don didn’t mind such a small job, and promptly sent me an estimate. Don’s estimate was the best among three asphalt contractors. My house was for sale, and the buyer wanted me to repair the damaged driveway, however, he later changed his mind and decided to repair it after closing, when the weather gets improved. Although I didn’t have a chance to ask Don to work on my driveway, I really appreciate his prompt and professional manner to responded to my request and questions. I highly recommend Checkered Flag Asphalt Paving & Sealcoating to anyone who is looking for reliable and contractor with professional manner.

called don and his crew on a wednesday and he made it happen that saturday at a great price and only company that would comeout for a small job that i had great crew in and out with great results he also networked got me connected with another crew on other jobs i needed done. go to guy for asphalt and paving.

Don showed up on time when he said he would to complete the estimate. He spelled out exactly what they would do and when. I accepted the bid and his crew showed up to do the paving. While waiting for the asphalt to show up, Don leveled a gravel road at no extra charge. His crew was seasoned and it showed in the results. The paving looks great! There was some extra asphalt, so Don widened and lengthened the road at no extra cost. He kept to his original bid.
I would not hesitate to recommend this paving company to anyone. They are hardworking guys that take pride in their work and it shows.

Don, the owner, was the one who came out for the estimate, did the actual work, & met with us after to go over everything & make sure we were satisfied. We could tell he took a lot of pride in his work. Competitively priced. Stuck to his bid. Did exactly what we needed him to do, including leveling a couple slanted areas that were not specified in our original discussion (he knew it would make our parking areas look so much better). Estimated completion time was right on– he & his crew showed up on time & even finished early. He had good equipment that was flexible enough to handle both small & large jobs. We had old asphalt on the original driveway, newly graveled areas, & brush that needed to be cleared out then graveled to create more parking areas. There were trees to circle around, steep landscaping, fences, & a garage to end up level with. He kept us updated as job the progressed, & even texted pictures! He didn’t need us to clarify anything– he was competent enough to just come in & do his job quickly without issues. I will DEFINITELY recommend him to anyone, & look forward to having him come back to sealcoat & protect our new beautiful driveway!

Excellent bid — and stuck to it, even though the guys had to haul off a bunch of stuff to the dump. I offered to pay for the haul, and the owner said, no worries. Got the bid, accepted the bid, and a week later, the crew was there on my small-​time job (though messy). We had blackberries, potholes, and crunched-​up concrete in our little lot, and the crew made it a beautifully-​level asphalt, sealed it, and even painted stripes for us. We have another small job, which I plan to ask the company to do as well. Efficient, clean, and good – on-​their-​word.
