Coalition Brewing

I stumbled across this place while exploring East Portland on a warm day. It truly is a small operation, so don’t expect any frills other than the corn hole setup in the parking lot. There isn’t a tasting room to speak of, just a small lobby and the loading dock/​patio. The gal behind the bar had probably just turned 21, but her beer wisdom was far beyond her years. Since I like hoppy IPAs, she recommended the Dropping Science Double IPA. At 80 IBUs and 8% ABV, it was big on taste. The Space Fruit IPA has their biggest seller at the moment, and if you like an IPA with a lot of citrus notes, look no further. I ended up buying 3 bombers and brought them back home to the 661. When in PDX, this place is definitely worth checking out.

Ok. Not only is the beer delicious… But God bless the bartender. Great rustic tap room, with some of the better barrel aged beers in town. Erin? Or Alex was unbelievably helpful in showing me more beers around town. Also… I want his curls. «Friendly as hell and drinkable as f*ck». That is how I would describe this spot. Cheers!

Awesome, amazing, delicious! The Space Fruit IPA is off the hook, King Kitty Red is my second favs. Thank gawd they’ve started distributing in WA state, I was having to buy crap loads of bottles to take home so I could get my fix.

Tried a taster tray and they were all sooooo good. Of note were the saison and the farm fresh. They were closed on the weekend (went on a Sunday) but they were kind enough to still enjoy some of their amazing beers. I see great things coming out of this brewery.

The nice lady worked very hard to find something my discerning tastes would find palatable — hah, just hard to please my taste buds! Great service with a smile — thank you!

Love, love, love. Not the same experiences of great patios and cool old renovated buildings to enjoy them in, in comparison to previous reviews. You’re in the production facility, chatting with knowledgeable and passionate folks who are happily pouring what are my favorite beers to date. This charming place is tops because I found myself enjoying EVERY beer I sampled.
I searched out Coalition after enjoying the King Kitty Red at a local eating establishment (Tilt in NW). By far my favorite of their offerings is the Two Dogs IPA, found a lovely maple porter to enjoy and loved the uniqueness of the Spacefruit IPA’s lime and grapefruit notes. We had a few complementary sips of Red Duck Ketchup beer, who’s heat lingered, wow. Props for the wild beer concoctions Coalition has brewed up!

Stumbled upon this brewery walking around looking for wolf and bear.
They cute little tasters for 1.50 $.
They have an area for bean bag toss outside. Cute and chill area to enjoy a beer and chill out with friends.
Kind of in a deserted area but gives a little charm to it.

Rad little brewery that serves some wicked good IPA. I enjoyed their Spacefruit IPA, There’s also a dill pickle beer that tastes exactly like it sounds, if you’re into that sort of thing. But, be willing to try whatever they have on tap — that’s part of the adventure and better yet, they support local brewers to serve their beers on their taps.
Outside they have an old bean bag toss game and some simple keg and pallet tables with chairs. Wasn’t crowded when I was there on the weekend but stop by if you’re in the area!

Awesome spot! Although it was a lovely day, we decided to sit in the brewery. We had been walking around all day and wanted to check out the inside, plus they were playing Led Zeppelin. I’m really happy we sat inside because one of the brewers was giving a tour to a group of 4 people and from where we were sitting (not a huge space) we could catch most of what they were saying. We also got to try a taste of one of their brews that was still fermenting.

Delicious beer, friendly staff and a cute little outdoor area to bask in the sun! If you like sippin on some good beer in a relaxed, friendly, atmosphere, this is the place to go! It’s also very reasonably priced. :)

Red kitty is still a favorite red with great IBUs. The spacfruit IPA has a consistent citrus bite.

Stopped in the tasting room here on a Saturday evening. Very chill vibe. Great beers. Coffee IPA was excellent.
