We are so lucky to have a shoe company like Crary in Portland. Their combination of professionalism, personal attention, and many years of experience in the shoe/boot making industry have earned them 100% of my loyalty. They listened carefully to how I used various shoes and boots and custom built foot wear that met my needs. Everyone at Crary is professional, works as a team and there is a family energy you don’t find in many of the national franchise shoe providers. I would not hesitate to recommend Crary Shoes to anyone seeking quality foot wear and a caring custom orthopedic experience.

I have been to other specialty shoe stores and this stores sets itself above them in several different ways. First off, they have not one but 2 pedorthists on staff and both of them(john and Meredith) are 2 of the most kind, helpful and knowledgeable people i have ever dealt with in the specialty shoe business or any other business. I am diabetic and have neuropathy and several other foot problems and recently purchased 3 pairs of shoe and inserts. A pair of sheep skin slippers for around the house, gym shoes, and a pair of walking boots. After wearing them for a few days i developed large blisters on both feet and they got me scheduled in right away to modify the inserts. I plan on having a long term relationship with this store and couldn’t be happier with my shoe, inserts, and their awesome customer service. Please, Crary, stay in the diabetic shoe supply business as i don’t want to go somewhere else where they have no knowledge of feet and shoes and only corporate training to push certain products. If you have foot problems i would highly recommend coming here although i think you have to have a doctors prescription.

Had a problem. My orders are 80% paid for by my insurance. When I went in today, after having been a customer for quite a while, and got treated badly because of what looks like to me a miscommunication on their part. It seems that the inserts that I ordered last year were never picked up. Well, I couldn’t pick them up without authorization from my insurance company, which never arrived BECAUSE… Crary had already billed for and been paid for 4 sets of inserts, which I never received. Soooo, they asked for ½ my copay today, without letting me know ahead of time. I have always paid for what I have RECEIVED from them. Why would I order MORE inserts on top of the inserts that I supposedly already had? Just doesn’t make sense. I’m a retired construction worker who is on a fixed income. They BLINDSIDED me… and made me feel like I was lying. NOTHAPPY… Robert Wrenn…

Took a shoe in for a lift and was treated like they could have cared less for what turned out to be a pretty standard job for another shop. Was a Crary customer for over 10 years but after a couple times of getting the«wow, we can’t do that«line and feeling like im taking up their time, I went else where.
