The guy working the counter is a total dick. Tried to get some information and he couldn’t tell me anything. He was rude, ugly, and really just not a nice person. I hope his store burns to the ground

Competition is plenty around Day and Night Grocer. This convenience store is located near the I-405 freeway. It has plenty of snacks, including a plethora of beverages. Also to be found are the common over the counter medicine brands. I had originally planned to visit higher up on the hill, but the barrage of Timbers fans convinced me to walk towards Pioneer Square. The prices could be better, as some of them are above average, with two dollars for beverages being common. Cans are to be found for seventy five cents. Although it can get crowded in that small space, two people work the front of the store, and one helped me since the line was long, even though I wasn’t yet in it. They do have Original New York Seltzer soda, a good find. Be careful in crossing the street a bit after visiting since the barriers on that side of the street are not too pedestrian friendly, so cross and use phone applications accordingly. Day and Night Grocer is competent.

Now that I’m a regular here and chit chat with the owner, I’m now quite fond of this little shop. She’s quite delightful to talk to and she’s quite the hard worker. She is ALWAYS working. Like most little individually owned mini-mart type shops, they have a bit of everything. They carry quite a nice variety of beverages from RC cola, Yerba mate, to many varieties of very descent beers and wines. They stock the usual sundry items, cigarettes and a few gift type things. Who wouldn’t want a flask as a gift? I can’t imagine. Seriously if you don’t appreciate flasks, I’m flabbergasted. I was saddened to see the big picture window being replaced today due to some criminal act by a crazed homeless guy. The police caught the bastard but still, the owner was injured. For the most part the creepy and undesirable element in the area are usually peaceful and just annoyingly pestering you for money. The violence was an anomaly. Wishing you a speedy recovery Elizabeth. 2015 — Review # 29

Have all the necessary items — and so many not necessary — you need! Professional and to the point. These guys don’t take shit, but maintain professionalism in all regards. Great Ben & Jerrys options, so much beer and wine to choose from… Down-to-earth and honest. Great neighborhood stop.

I live around the corner so I have a biased opinion; based on the sole convenience of being able to walk from my apartment to a store in under 15 seconds. Amazing beer selection, especially the singles. I am a huge singles fan, because I am a drunk whore. The prices are terrible which is to be expected at convenience stores that stays open until 3am. If the price is that bad, walk four blocks the other way to Walgreens.

This place is always open. They sell all your beer, wine and basic candy. Go here if the woman is running the register. She’s really nice to me at least. Maybe she won’t trust you but you just gotta get on her good side. If there’s the man, leave. Seriously. Conversation this guy had with my husband: Husband: just this coke please. Dude: Just watchin’ the gun show. Gotta get me one of those pump action shot guns. Don’t wanna be stuck with a revolver. Gotta get something that can lay down some basic fire. —— What the fuck dude. No you should not own a gun. And yes I mean you specifically.
