As much as I absolutely love almost every dancer at Devil’s Point on top of the fun environment, I just had the worst experience I’ve ever dealt with at a strip club, thanks to the rude dancer named Dru. I consider myself to be a very respectful customer at strip clubs, and on top of that I’m a 22 year old girl who understands the etiquette of a strip club. A girlfriend and I visited, mainly to visit friends who work there. We were sitting at the front stage while Dru was working, and immediately got bombarded with demands to tip her before she even through the middle of her first song. Of course, we had full intention of giving her the tips that are required when sitting front and center, but immediately got a bad taste in our mouths by the attitude thrown at us while watching her. Shortly after, I was sitting at a side table, using my calculator on my phone strictly on the table top, and Dru grabs my hand with the phone and proceeds to slam it back on the table saying«you can’t use phones in this area, you bitches have been disrespectful the whole night.» Throughout the night, we enjoyed the company of other dancers, sat respectfully, and kept to ourselves just like any other normal customer would. But, unfortunately Dru seems dead set on ruining our night. She succeeded and we left shortly afterwards. I do not recommend anyone visiting this girl, and I hope the manager gets a chance to read this review. Truly disappointing.

I’ve been going to Devil’s Point for several years. Up until this year it was a favorite stop of mine, but after the last two visits I can’t say it’s a favorite anymore. The drinks are good, the ladies are hot, and the space is cool(except for the bathrooms, probably the worst you’ll ever see). My big problem with Devil’s Point is all the hipster/douche bags that fill the place. They’re all drinking their shitty beer, complaining about how they can’t afford anything(but don’t want to work), and not tipping the beautiful ladies who are working hard. Take your skinny jeans, flannel, and stupid beards and find another place to take up space. And by the way, if you’re wanting to check out Stripperoake on Sunday’s, don’t bother. That’s when the hipster/douchebags are out in force since they don’t have a job and don’t need to work Monday morning.

after experiencing just a handful of stipclubs here in portland, I am no expert nor am I even polished up on what the customs are with; tipping, staring, clapping –is clapping okay or should i whistle?- either way, Devils Point on sunday night is my absolute favorite night of the week! S T R I P P E R O K E has got to be the funnest time i have ever experienced on a sunday evening! the dancers are super fun and when was the last time a crowd erupted singing«a whole new world» from the Disney classic Aladdin? seriously? do your self a night of research and go, or do it for science. whatever the cause make sure you bring your ones!

I still like Devils Point after coming here for three years. The DJ is great and the drinks are more than fare. The bartenders are smokin’. I’m a little disappointed in the entertainment. All the girls look the same. Black hair, skinny and can’t really dance or do pole tricks. Where are my tatted, full figured black/white girls? I’ll be back but I’ve lost almost all interest in the entertainment.

My husband and I went here for the first time this Halloween to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We had a blast! The dancers are very cute, very friendly, and can dance very well. Their song selections were amazing and made this goth girl squee with delight most of the night! Even security and the bar staff were friendly. My only regret is that I had to go back up to Seattle before I could check out their karaōke night — but that just gives me another excuse to go back down! Shout out to Rion dressed up as Harley Quinn! Thanks for being a sweetheart! I highly recommend this establishment if you like cute, tattooed ladies who can dance their asses off and really seem to enjoy what they do. Also recommend this place if you more alternative and rock music such as Type O Negative, Danzig, and 80’s hair metal.

Stripperoke is the number one best thing for a tourist to do in Portland, Oregon. It’s basically Cirque Du Soleil but up close and with boobs. Some of the singers will be amazing. Some will be terrible. A fair number of giggling girls will do horrific renditions of popular rap songs from the 90s — These experiences will be the only negative experiences of the night. The performers are ridiculous. They do all sorts of acrobatics as part of their routines. This isn’t your typical depressed 23-year old dancing to Marilyn Manson… this is basically a party on stage. It’s incredible. As far as the bar goes, it’s a bar. Who cares? You’re here for the most glorious Sunday night in Portland.

Sunday night Stripperoke made this my favorite club on my bachelor party tour of Portland. Stripperoke is amazingly far better than strippers or karaōke on their own. The dancers were all amazing on the pole — and its a real pole, none of that cheating with a rotating pole. Plus they tried the hardest to distract the singers, which is a riot. I’ve also never seen a more even mix of guys and girls at a strip club before. The venue itself is a bit run down(the bench seats can swallow you whole) but the drinks are cheap and service wasn’t bad given how busy it was. I’d go back Sunday nights for sure.

Loved this place, as it was my first time in an adult establishment. The ladies where so nice and fantastic! There was so much talent on the stage that I have no words to describe it besides AWESOME! Lily was by far my favorite, I definitely recommend a dance from her.

Good vibes and hot girls! Great music and sound system! Great place to get rid of some unwanted cash!!! –1 star for smelling like a pungent combination of fried food and farts.

As soon as I read about Stripperoke, I knew that was a must-do while we were visiting Portland. And it was so great! I read that it gets crowded so I made sure we got there around 8 and the place was empty so I felt like«did I lead us astray?» But nah, we just ended up having a nice booth after it became standing room only just a little bit later. I enjoyed seeing the girls dancing before the big show anyway, there were some very groovy music selections, and one of the girls was so saucy in a pin-uppy way and did adorable stuff when I went up to give her a tip. Once the karaōke begins, it’s so fun because you get to see these super talented girls do insane, sexy pole acrobatics to unusual songs(never did I think when I was in middle school that I’d see a lady pole dance to Green Day’s Basket Case!) and it’s even more intense once you’re the one on stage! It’s certainly hard to focus when you’re trying to sing but also trying to appreciate the beautiful lady removing her bra and spinning around a pole inches from you! And no one cares if you sing well or not because you are not the main event which is really perfect for me since I’m a terrible singer. Just an excellent time!

Holy smokes what can I say! My boyfriend and I were up for the Brewer’s Festival a couple weeks ago and wanted to enjoy some sexy nightlife. This club is hands down the best club I have been to, EVER! The girls were all beautiful, down to earth, and they had absolutely amazing acrobatic skills. My favorite was Ryder although all four girls that were dancing for the evening were all fantastic. The stage area is very quaint and I love how the lighting and setup gives that perfect allure. The chains holding the stage are a nice touch. The bartender is very knowledgeable and all drinks were made very high quality. My boyfriend had a fantastic time, including a private dance from his favorite Brodie Grody and let’s just say, I paid her double because the girls frankly weren’t charging enough for their dances in my opinion. Let’s just say, we come up to Portland again in 3 weeks and we are planning to visit again!

Went here for happy hour on a Saturday with my wife and had a blast. Great dancers who are very friendly, piss cheap drinks, and a bar tender who’s not a douchebag. Laid back, divey atmosphere which I’m into, but I also wasn’t patronizing during peak hours. I hear Stripperoake is the bomb, which I can imagine. Worth visiting to watch Jubilee dance… holy crap. Will be back for sure!

I’d like to thank the manager for contacting me and explaining their policies and procedures. I think there may be a simple customer service issue to be solved, but I am otherwise satisfied with his explanation. –JH [edited for spelling]

Was visiting the area from southern Oregon. My girlfriend and I went to Devils point on a Saturday night and they were packed!!! There isn’t a cover charge thus why there were so many people standing around blocking the view of the stage. There were so many people and I can see why. The dancers were amazing! They had very good dancing skills especially while on the pole. They were very interactive with the customers and weren’t shy at all even though the place was packed like sardines! Haha. Overall. If you like your women with tattoos and want to have a good time go on down to Devils point! They also serve food and drinks but we didn’t buy any. The only con is the space is so small, it needs more chairs, and people need to stop blocking the stage so we can all enjoy the show!.

Julie is working. How awesome is that! Cheap drinks dark bar and a hot bartendress. Steady flow of lunch drinkers(2 and gone). Pokers machines and a full bar to boot.

One of the singular theatrical experiences of my career was recently had at Devil’s Point. The curious nature of this production begins before one even enters the stage area. In a clear nod to Michel Foucault’s 1967 essay«La mort de l’auteur,» there is no handbill or signage proclaiming the writing or directing credits. The cast is merely announced by a spectral, amplified voice as the actors(all female) enter the performance area. It is as if the play wishes to draw attention to its own artifice, the obviously contrived names contributing to this effect. The real names of the actors are not revealed, and the audience is invited to pretend the performers have no identity beyond their theatrical display. There is no curtain. The play is already underway as the audience enters, as if it, like desire, were eternal. The plot, such as it is, eschews conventional dramatic devices — suspense, character, or even dialogue — in favor of repetition. A woman appears on stage,(spoiler alert) removes her clothing, and this procedure recapitulates itself for hours, each time a different woman whose individuality is eventually subsumed into the same libidinal circus. The impression is much like that of a butcher parading various cuts of beef, the overall effect of which is to underline man’s mastery over cow. Is this neurotic-obsessive display ultimately a satire of television, with its circular pleasures broadcast for passive consumption? Is it a mockery of heteronormative masculine desire, the way each woman loses her identity meant to tell us something about the commodification of the female body and male impotence in the face of a genuine, non-objectified Other? Or is it merely some sort of Dadaistic joke perpetrated on the audience itself? With, as mentioned, no author claiming responsibility, we will perhaps never know. The menu includes mozzarella sticks and other bar food; drinks are reasonably priced.

I love karaōke, so Sunday night Stripparoke was a must-do in Portland. The bartender at my hotel rattled off a surprisingly long list of sinful attractions taking place around the city on Sundays, like fire dancers and other stripper-based activities, but it’s all about pop songs and microphones over here. Devil’s Point, with its divey environs east of downtown, was strip-club-non-regular-friendly, and the drinks(craft beer, natch) reasonably priced at $ 4 a pint. We got there in time to hear the rules of Stripparoke, which include tipping your dancer(a requirement, not a suggestion), no touching, and no pictures/video. The deal is that you get to pick out a song, the DJ calls your name when you’re up, and you get on stage and sing while your dancer does her thing. I have forgotten the name of my dancer, but she was amazing. Maybe she just liked my song selection(Head Over Heels by Tears for Fears — one of my favourite songs to sing) She hung off the poles, swung from the ceiling, shook what her mama gave her in directions I didn’t know things went, and also sexily loosened my ponytail and even picked me up at one point! I easily got the best dancer in the place, I think. Afterward, one girl in the crowd even asked if we were friends. It was a pretty cool experience. Afterward, we thought about sticking around to sing more songs and hear more people sing(there is some great singing talent at this thing as well), but the place was pretty packed and if you want to hang around a strip club, let’s face it, you’d better keep drinking and tipping. Drinks are cheap, there’s no cover and the staff are pretty low-key on the pressure, but you gotta keep the dollar bills going. I think it was money well spent for the evening’s entertainment. Stripparoke, stripperoke, stripparaoke, oh yeah, baby, sing it and work it!

I am torn. Not an aficionado of strip clubs, but dang if I haven’t been to two this weekend! There is one main reason I didn’t enjoy myself here — The bartender. And singing all the way in the back corner with no attention from the girls is just silly. what’s the point of karaōke without acting and being a star and what’s the point of karaōke at a strip club if the dancers ignore you? a Do get to the end of the review for some good stuff, though. Bartender Issues: I went to the bar and presented my Unilocal coupon — explaining it was purchased a year ago(expires today!). The bartender called over a dancer to confer, they were perplexed, and when finally they deemed to accept it, it was very reluctantly, and the bartender commented that she could feel it in her pocketbook. I was still standing there, while waiting for my drink for about 10 minutes while this one guy ordered a million shots and beers. So now — I know she dislikes me, thinks I will stiff her for a tip, and I’m pretty certain she will pour me weak drinks — great way to start the night. When the one customer asked if she was the owner, she said«I should be». She then«bought» him a shot and a beer. Do you not see me standing here? Did I not mention I use Unilocal and will undoubtedly go home and review you? Did I not see a Unilocal poster in the bathroom offering half off if you«check in» here? Seriously! Now that that’s off my chest(which has a hickey on it this morning). The dancers are mostly quite good. Vivian Rose left before karaōke but she is so sweet and lovely and a fine dancer. The other dancers are mostly quite good as well — I generally like the way they dress(moreso than the girls at Union Jack’s) and they are pretty friendly. The KJ was a doll. Well drinks were $ 5, the space is not large but feels kinda roomy and tables are nicely spread out. I was a disappointed that the dancers really pay almost no attention to you while you sing. I thought they would kind of get in the act more — which would have been funner. Anyhow — it was a hoot, and I would go back but now that I’ve written the review I’m worried my drink will get spit in.
