I used Dexterious Productions for my wedding for DJ, equipment, and MC. I found them (James) on Unilocal,and met with him to talk about my wedding music needs. I was on a tight budget for the wedding, and knew I wanted a professional for this type of service. DP was very affordable and was able to meet my needs and much more! I had an outdoor wedding which needed speakers for the ceremony as well as a set up for the dancing/​reception area.
I gave James a list of our ceremony songs, and a few songs I wanted played throughout the night. He was so easy to work with and the best part was all the compliments we got on the music and the wedding overall (I feel music is a big part of it all). Again, MANY MANY compliments from guests about the music/​DJ! I highly recommend Dexterious Productions!

Dexterous Productions provided equipment and DJ services at our wedding at Mt. Hood Bed & Breakfast, an amazing venue 90 minutes from Portland. The owner, James, was very easy to work with, provided really good setup suggestions, and helped to make our special day worry free. He arrived early and got right to work. We had a guitar player whose acoustic guitar needed a mic setup, an officiant who insisted on a lapel mic, and music that needed to be played on cue following the ceremony. James NAILED it.
He worked seamlessly with our wedding coordinator and made all necessary announcements during the reception. We were very picky with our «must play» songs, and he hit them all and did it in an order that kept the dance party going.
James is highly knowledgable, responsive, friendly, and was an absolute joy to do business with. I would recommend Dexterous Productions to anyone.

I have been a professional dj for 16 years and had to travel from Los Angeles to Portland Oregon to dj for a wedding and James from Dexterous provided sound setup with subwoofers, mixer and 2 moving head lights rental.
I booked him with a deposit about 8 months prior to the wedding and James provided a great sound system at a great price. He was on time in returning calls and emails, provided a great sound setup as what i had requested and did deliver what he promised.
Very nice guy and he was even nice to give me a ride from hotel to the venue and back again. Clean quality sound, on time and professional. I do recommend his service and will use him again.

James is great. He loves what he does and it shows. He’s friendly, works hard and very professional. I do not hesitate to recommend him and will use him again in the future.
He showed up on one of the rainiest days I’ve seen in Portland so that the show could on. It was an outdoor event it was cold and rainy and he was he big part of why the event hosted by the the Montavilla/​East Tabor Business association went so well.

James at Dexterous is as good as it gets. Super professional, friendly, easy to work with, and armed with the type of split-​second-​decision know-​how that only years of successful, dedicated experience can yield. I play in a band that’s been lucky enough to work with James many times in varied situations ranging from on-​site takeaway-​show-​style recording to standard indoor rock club gigs to (rainy!) outdoor festival performances, and he’s never been anything but the best. Always well-​prepared, calm even in the face of those inevitable live sound snafus and environmental challenges that catch less experienced people off guard, and when he’s behind the board, everything sounds better. I can’t recommend him and his team highly enough.

James and team… amazing! As entertainment director for the West Linn Arts Festival, I was pleased to hire James 3 years in a row to run our sound board. Although I left the position, the new director rehired him by popular demand. He is good natured, easy to work with. No prima donna here. The most seasoned musicians coming back to the show would ask, hopefully, «Is Dexterous Productions doing the sound again?»
–and sigh a breath of relief when I said yes. But he was also very kind to amateur entertainers – putting them at ease. He was organized, filled in when the MC wasn’t on cue, all sort of things. His rates are quite reasonable… and he goes beyond the call of duty. Even his assistants were stellar. I’d hire him for any sound gig in the future…
