El Compadre Loco

**RAP VIDEO!
I walked around the back of this building and found a nice little dead end alley ready to shoot the next rap video. It had everything we’ve come to love in them: graffiti, barbed wire, dead cars, crime scene tape and decaying building façade. You just gotta see that nice piece of compton in rockwood!
In honor of that, I am going to attempt a rap ode to the food here.
uhh. notorious Rockwood… Gresham in the house…
The food wasn’t so good way down in rockwood.
so I took a little walk around the hood.
I found a chile rellano, burrito and a taco
in a little place called el compadre loco
I sat in a booth with the max to my back
so much grease could cause a heart attack
The beans and the rice weren’t very nice
the picante sauce slacked in the spice
I can’t really rap but carry a nice beat
two things I love in excess, drink and eat
I’m a little too old to hang with the young G’s
Also maybe cuz I’m too Japanese

There are easily 5+ other mexican restaurants in a 1 block radius, so competition is high and you have to have exceptional food to survive here.
This restaurant just opened & offered a $ 4.75 lunch special, so why not try it out, right?
Well, I didn’t get sick, and there was an acceptable quantity of food, but the quality of the enchilada (cheese, a little chicken, & red sauce), taco (lettuce, cheese, taco meat), and beans/​rice was MUCH weaker than I expected!!!
Maybe their dinners or dine-​in menu is better, but even on the cheap I probably won’t be going back for lunch :-(
