My daughter has been an Elite student for the past 3 years. My daughter is very young and we were looking for a dance class she would enjoy plus the additional benefits of confidence and body awareness. We do have to say that our daughter did enjoy the dance lessons. But as parents, it was not as pleasant. First, the dance community at Elite is … well, unpleasant. The other dance moms are not friendly. Many of the moms that volunteer as «room moms» during the recitals only manage their own children and do little to help with the other children. Thank you to the mom’s that volunteer and actively help with all of the children! And, the recital headlines 5 – 6 key dancers that are seen over-and-over, front-and-center of many dance numbers. I think the competitive dancers are fantastic. I do! But don’t they get enough headlining during competitive dance competitions? For the rest — I want to see the progress with the other dancers learning and celebrate their progress. Furthermore, the Dance Recitals, 3 shows at 3.5 hours long, is TOOMUCH!!! Recommend breaking up the shows and letting the non-competitive dancers get a chance to be in the audience seeing what they could achieve viewing the competitive dancers perform. Second, any issue that happens with scheduling or billing is assumed to be the parents mistake. As the parent — you are assumed guilty right off and there is never an apology if findings are different. I understand there are ~ 500 dancers. I’m sure the studio deals with a lot of issues. But the double edged and condescending responses received when a parent is trying to be nice and simply resolve a problem is not warranted. The second was the final straw for us but the former was not far behind. Good luck to all these beautiful dancers… we will be looking for a new dance company to continue our little dancers adventure! Signed, Sad but ready to move on

Beware of the staff at this dance school! The customer service and care is awful. I’ve never been treated so poorly by a business that needs my money to keep afloat. The teaching is average… nothing special. My 4 year old hasn’t learned anything that she hasn’t already learned at our previous school in Los Angeles. If you’re even 1 day late on tuition, no matter what family emergency had happened, you will receive relentless harassing phone calls from Phyllis demanding money and an exorbitant late fee. I’ve never experienced such awful treatment by a business.

Don’t waste your time if your child is serious about dancing. No matter how hard your child works, how much time and money you invest, this place is not worth the effort. The studio manager talks a good game, but can’t be bothered with returning emails, phone calls, and she is certainly too busy to talk to you if you come into the studio. There is NO feedback on your child’s progress. Zero.

Love this studio. My daughter has learned so much from the amazing choreographers/teachers at this studio. They have two studios that are always full of eager dancers. They staff is very nice although at the same time very professional. I would definitely enroll my daughter in this studio if she wasn’t already in so many activities. Love this place and I would highly recommend them.
