Great work! On time, on budget, super clear worksite after the fact. Bid process was fast, detailed, and professional. Company was up front about what additional costs might be incurred as they started the project, but none were. Very happy with the experience.

As a Realtor I’m probably in a position to recommend a vendor more than most people, so have had clients work with these folks multiple times. They are always my first choice for Radon, Sewer or Tank Locates. They always perform as promised, and at very competitive prices.

We just had our sewer line replaced by Environmental Works and very aspect of their work was outstanding. We had five companies give us estimates and they were the only one that noted we had two places in our line that would require them to hand dig to ensure the line was not pooling. And their estimate was more than competitive with the other four companies.

Environmental works just mitigated my severe radon problem with fantastic results! I tested my home with the carbon test first and the results were 79.9 pCi/​L. Then I contacted environmental works. Their machine came back with high 60 readings. After mitigation the number dropped to a .5 pCi/​L average. The team they sent was by far the most professional specialists I have ever dealt with for home repair. They were efficient and did a beautiful job. They also cleaned up after. Their price was very reasonable and fair. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for an outstanding value for professional service.

When I tested our basement area with a short-​term test, the results came in around 6 pCi/​L. This concerned me greatly since that particular area of the house was occupied. I called several abatement companies and received a few quotes and selected EW based on Unilocal reviews, pricing, and warranty.
The installers did the work in one day and had the ventilation unit purring quietly, completely contained on the outside of the house with nothing inside other than an electrical connection. All communication with the staff was concise, timely, and professional.
We performed a 4 month long-​term radon test after installation and the results came back as less than 0.4 pCi/​L so I’d call that a success! Originally, I was concerned about noise or some bulky fan inside the house but neither were true. In fact, the fan is outside and extremely quiet.

The City of Portland required us to get a sewer scope done. Someone recommended Environmental Works to us. Scheduling the scope was painless. Our man showed up on time, IN THE MIDDLE OF A MAJOR SNOW STORM!!! Also, it took me a while to remember where the main «access» was on our house, and he was VERY patient with us. Then, when we heard the total… we were shocked. It seemed too low a price for all the time and attention we had been given. We were totally pleased on all levels:)

Mike Runyan — was so prompt and timely that I missed the first time he came out to a proposed investment property to preform a sewer scope. He meet with the Seller’s realtor who let him in to check water flow. Personally, I wanted to be present, so Mike took additional time out of his day as there was a slight communication error and came back to the property within 20min to perform a second scope and explain to me exactly what he was seeing. I really appreciate the hard work and professionalism of Mike Runyan and plan to recommend his service in the future to all friends and family.

In the process of buying a home and had the folks at Environmental Works do sewer scope, oil tank locate, and radon inspections, to make sure we knew what we were getting in to. Not only were they flexible with scheduling, but the crew that came out on inspection day were friendly and did a great job of talking me through the details of their inspection results. Even the office staff, who took care of billing, were so personable and friendly. While I know that this isn’t extensive experience with the company, this first impression was wonderful, and they’re on our short list if we need future work done on our home!

Environmental Works recently completed a radon test and mitigation system install at my home in NE Portland.
Joel and his team was punctual, friendly, and thorough. They did good work. The radon reduction system is quiet and made a minimal impact on the appearance of my home.

I found my home in outer SE Portland had a radon problem by doing a Home Depot test and sending it to a lab after hearing a radio show on KBOO that mentioned radon in outer SE. I contacted Environmental Works when the initial results showed that my house had 7 times of radon that the EPA says is safe and 10 times what the WHO declares is a safe amount.
Joel and his staff did a second test to confirm that I had a radon problem, then offered the most cost effective plan to mitigate my radon problem. This involved a three-​phase project (my house proved to be more difficult to mitigate than most). Joel and his staff were punctual, professional, and worked to solve my radon situation in a timely and efficient manner.
I was pleased with Environmental Works and would recommend them to anyone with a radon problem.
