Unbelievably fun. The rooms were intricate and the game is super well thought out. You feel like you’re traveling into a different world.

I’ve done both the Sherlock room and Prison Break, and both were really fun. The rooms are totally different from each other in style of puzzle, decoration, and story line, but both are really well done and totally absorbing. The experience is more fun with friends, so rally as big a group you can and come ready to collaborate and communicate.

Came to Escape Games the other day for a work team building activity. We were a large group so we were split up into the 3 different rooms. My group got the Prison Break room. It was so much fun. The room was put together really well and had great clues to try and escape. Our group managed to escape with 5 minutes to spare. Will definitely be back to try the Portlandia or Sherlock rooms.

This is fun! I will preface that my rating is reflective of free entry from a Unilocal Elite event. My group successfully completed the Prison Break Room. There were 7 of us. I would say 5 – 6 would be a better number to enter with so you can participate in more of the puzzles. The staff are great! There’s someone assigned to you and monitors your journey through the puzzles. I believe you’re allowed 3 hints which we used and they also walk you through and answer any questions once you complete the puzzle/your time is up.

Four of us did the Portlandia room with a Groupon, and the experience was great from start to finish. The whole experience was probably about 90 minutes, with an introduction, the actual escape attempt, and a walk-through afterwards. The facility is sparsely furnished and clean. The escape room itself was well-lit and kept us very busy. We thought it was all done very well and had a lot of fun. Sam was a big help and provided us with hints. We didn’t make the escape, sadly, but we definitely want to come back and try again.

This was my very first escape game experience and I had a blast! The Sherlock Secret room was very challenging, but super fun. Definitely will keep everyone busy and entertained. There were a lot of clues and codes to figure out, wished we had more time. It was great to meet new people and to bond with each other… being stuck in a room and all. I surely will be back to try out their other escape rooms! :)

This place rocks! Tucked away in the industrial area of NW, there is a mystery waiting to be solved! Escape rooms seem to be the new trend for friends, family or coworkers, and this place does it really well. You have an hour to escape by solving a variety of puzzles. There are three different themed rooms to choose from, our group did the«Portlandia» themed room. Without giving anything away, it included beer bottles, Portland landmarks and some very cool surprises! A «game master» is watching you the whole time and can let you out at any point, if you are feeling uncomfortable. It is a very clean and organized space, with plenty of parking. The staff was friendly and genuinely seemed excited about their job. Can’t wait to try another one soon!

Man, these folks really made sure to show us a good time! The venue is super clean and new. The room we had«the Sherlock room» was pretty stellar. At first glance you kind of think… «hm, kinda plain», but then as soon as it begins you forget you’re in a finished out space in NW industrial and are IN this world they’ve created for you. There are more things hidden, cleverly disguised and tucked away than you can even imagine! What seemed a bit underwhelming at first is certainly much more than you think. Get ready! They give you some life lines if you really want to use them but trust me, it’s hard enough you may need them! They’re trained staff is there literally in tune with every step of your adventure so they know what you’ve misses and can help in some very clever ways. And for the price of a 1 room adventure I say bring 4 to 6 friends and make it super affordable! Besides, we quickly figured out that if there were only 1 or 2 of us there would be no way we’d get out of there alive! There is SO much thought put into the process of clues and trails. Try something different and have some fun with your friends that isn’t just hangout out or going for happy hour. Enjoy some adventure!

Great fun to be had here! I was in Sherlock’s Secret and my team did not make it out within the hour. The guides explained to us in a very helpful way what other steps we had to take to get out. A very creative and complex room! I would recommend it for only those who are very good at cryptology. I exaggerate! Any group of people would have fun doing this room. It was overall lots of fun! Very helpful staff and guides. Take a group and have fun! There are two other rooms to choose besides this one that I did and I heard they were all fun!

Oh my goodness! All the fun! Went here during an Elite event, everyone was super helpful and kind. I got to experience the«prison break» room, and boy howdy, this is not an easy room. We were so close, but alas, the room beat us. We had a group of five, all strangers. I think that it might be easier if you go with a group of friends. Yet, it was still a blast. Next time, I will make it out before the time runs out*.(*At least I hope so)

I have never done one of these before, and I was admittedly a little suspicious. I was afraid it would be super cheesy. I was pleasantly surprised. We did the Sherlock room and it was such good quality. They recommend that you have no more than 8 people and I would definitely agree. We had 10 people in our group and it was hard to get everyone on the same page. The girl who was our«guide» was very friendly and nice as well. I would not recommend the Sherlock room for children. Even as adults we did not solve it. It was very well done, and very difficult.

So much fun. Great game to play with a group, everyone works together to figure out the clues. Amy who was our attendant was so sweet and a great help when needed. We did the prison break, the room was decorated prefect for the theme. Will definitely do this again and try the other rooms.

Way more fun than adults are supposed to have when alcohol isn’t involved. Clues were everywhere, and I do mean everywhere, so if you have a large group everyone still gets to play a huge role. We had a group of six for my wife’s birthday, the game masters even left her a birthday card in the room. Make no mistake: the clues are all over the place, but this is really, really tricky. You have no time to sit around and ponder stuff, you have to keep moving and searching and looking at things differently than you looked at them last time, etc. The time races away from you, and before you know it, you’ve run out of time literally two steps from solving it. Three clues and a freebie extra five minutes proved we were losers. Party pictures with props, snapped on our phones by the game masters, proved they were great hosts and this place is legit. With any luck(and childcare) we’ll be back for the other rooms.

Best one hour of my life! I’m a fan of puzzle games, and this event had me thinking the entire hour. The staff was great and made the experience much more enjoyable! Will definitely be going back whenever I’m in the area.

We’ve done a few of these escape games in PDX, but this one was the best and the most challenging. Great way to spend an hour with friends and family and try to solve your way out of the room. We managed to escape and can’t wait to see what other rooms open up! The owner, Amy, gave us a great experience. Loved it!

Got to play a unique, interactive game at Escape Games PDX tonight. The Library Lockdown room was so much fun — even though we were 2 clues away from escaping in 60 minutes! Great way to explore Portland with out-of-town family! We will be back for the other 2 rooms!
