My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Cindy from Farrell & Associates. She helped us buy our first home and was with us every step of the way!. Still is! Any question I had — she was there to answer any of my first time home buyer questions! I would work with Cindy again without any reservation. Jameson and Nikki did a great job working with me and my family in the process of getting my house ready to sell, getting it sold, and helping me manage my move. They showed utmost competence and patience in accommodating our needs and still getting the job done. Our experience with Farrell & Associates has been great. We worked with Jeff, who met us at a home that had recently been listed. We were not initially thrilled by the home, so we inquired if he had any other listings available. Fortunately, he told us of another house that was going to be available in our time frame, so we immediately drove by it. We liked what we saw from the outside, so we got back on the phone and asked if we could schedule a walk-​through. The following day, we did a walk through with Jeff, loved the house and put our deposit down.
It took a couple of days for the app check. We really did luck out on finding this home.
On top of that, since we were moving from out of state with our pups, the homeowner & Farrell accommodated us by leaving us keys so we could just move in (instead of staying in a hotel). The house is in excellent shape, close to A LOT of amenities and the neighbors have been very welcoming.
When communicating via email, there was a slight lag, but nevertheless, we were responded to. If we wanted an immediate response, we just picked up the phone and spoke with Jeff or Kristy.

Under no circumstances should you ever rent from these people. The do absolutely nothing to maintain their properties. The house I was in had black mold everywhere, the faucets didn’t work correctly, the wiring was so bad if you plugged into two items on the same circuit, the breaker switched off. The garage was full of mice, the driveway was broken into pieces, the roof was so far gone there were plants growing out of it, there was so much moss on the walkways I took my life in my hands every time I went outside. And if I ever asked them to fix anything, they said: «Do you know how much more we could be renting that place for?» I met a woman whose son rents from them, and she said there was so much rot around his ink, it was about to drop through the counter; of course they wouldn’t do a thing about it. And they are not cheap! As this woman said, they are largely responsible for the huge leap in housing costs in North Portland. It is beyond me why people hire this irresponsible operation to run their rentals for them. The house I was renting has gone from a nice property to essentially worthless.

Working with Cindy was the best experience we had. She was there for us through every step of the way! What I loved most was how she was able to show us older homes with potential vs a brand new and gave us ideas with so many possibilities. When she found the perfect house, we were all on the same page as she knew exactly what we wanted at the perfect price! As first time home buyers, it’s the best feeling too have someone there for you to make it a seamless and stressful process. All you have to do is ask! I have rented with this management company now for multiple years. They are horrible at returning calls, they never fix anything. Also when you make repairs or fix items in the rental property, and try to get reimbursed, they refuse and you are out of money.
Over charged, under managed. This is not a honest, reliable property management. I have since left and love the new rental I am in. I never realized how bad Farrell and associate’s were until I experienced a great rental property management.

Horrible Property management. They never fix anything and hike your rent costs to insane levels in a short time. Don’t rent from these people.

We just sold our house with Nicole. We were grateful for the expertise and advice provided along the way. We would highly recommend Nicole. She made the process as painless as possible and even helped us find a realtor in another city. The house selling process can have so many unexpected hiccups, it helps to have a realtor you can trust to get things done and represent you in all the various transactions required.

We have had a great experience renting from Farrell realty this past year. We moved out only because we were living with a roommate and were ready to find our own place after getting married. I keep checking back on their website to see if the perfect home awaits us as we would love to keep renting with them. Jim has been very available, friendly, and helpful and we would recommend anyone looking to buy or rent to go see him!

I bought my first house with Farrell and Associates. And I actually got Mark Farrell! He knew everything, he fought for everything that I had asked for, he was extremely patient with me. As I learned about the process and what kind of house I really wanted, Mark patiently waited. He met me at houses day after day with realistic feedback on every property. He is a smart, tough, family man and you can see how it helps him run his business. If you’re looking for a house in North, NE, or even SE Portland, Mark Farrell is a great experience. He even had a Home Depot gift card sitting on my new house’s fireplace mantle. Whether because it was my first house or during the holiday season, it didn’t matter, it was a great gesture.
